I received help for my query after a day or so. The founder, explained that it was possible to embed as an inline form. I just needed to create a template for this from my 'page' (this is where my content was and where I wanted the form to appear. Once a template was created in the theme customiser, it was straightforward to add the app block and then input the app ID so it appeared on the page. Very relieved to get this help and hopefully they will be updating the knowledge content to explain this with even more clarity as on first glance it doesn't seem possible to embed at all.

I wanted a contact form that I could add specific fields to. It is nice that I can choose if the field is required or not. Was easy to install and set up. I would like a settings area that I can put in a backup email for submission notifications and also a SMS feature to also get a text. In my line of work its necessary to respond asap to form submissions. It does what it says and you cant argue with free
Great app! but can we customise the layout rather than having all fields in vertical order?
Great idea but very slow loading, so customers bounce before form loads. Also annoying that email notifications can only go to the registered email address with shopify.

I want the forms app not to make it required to capture a phone number or an e-mail. Also being able to customize the css of the forms would be nice. Sometimes dropdown menu's won't open and you have to remake them again. Decent app for now but needs some updates to be great.

This app does not use Shopify's recaptcha's (hi spam!) or does it integrate on the trigger side with Shopify Flow.

I can't find the data that the user filled in through the form

You should be able to see the information provided by your forms by following these steps from this help document (https://shopify.link/35og): From your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Forms. On the Overview page, do either of the following: To view the submissions for all of your forms, click Total submissions in the metrics section. To view the submissions for a specific form, click the title of the form that you want to view, and then click Submissions in the metrics section. Not sure why 2.7 stars , I find this app amazing, what else you want for something that is free. Yes you may have to customize it, may be a bit of work but it works .

love the out of box ease of use but for more experienced users can we inject custom css to better control the design?

Shopify Forms doesn't support custom coding, including custom CSS, but I can understand how this would be helpful and I'm happy to pass on your feedback! Like the other reviews said, you can't add the form to just one page, you need to add it shop wide for some reason

Shopify Forms lives up to its promise of simplicity. The dashboard is intuitive, with no technical jargon or confusing functions. You can edit everything within a single page.
The application is an excellent idea, I installed it to be able to run a Shopify flow automation, I contacted shopify support informing them of the errors in it, and the support team reports that the application does not work, a few days later they report that They already fixed it, but the app still doesn't work, I found several flaws: 1. It doesn't allow you to embed a form on a specific page. I followed the installation instructions step by step, but it doesn't allow you to embed the form. 2. Since I couldn't embed the form, I configured it to appear as a pop-up, but the pop-up also doesn't appear on the only page I want it to appear. It should be noted that I followed step-by-step installation instructions. 3. The only thing they fixed is that the form no longer appears on all pages when activated. The recommendation is to remove the application from the app store if it does not work correctly.

I need more features to replace google forms with this for contact and survey purpose. 1. Description text to each field 2. Label text of some field types is out of input field and some is in the input field. No consistency. Bad looking. 3. Multi line text field should be longer automatically while writing long texts. 4. Before installing it, I was worried due to its ratings in the reviews. However, it turns out to be a good Shopify Form App with comprehensive features. You can create different types of fields, rearrange them, and post them, in styles you like—Pop-up / Inline / or a Single landing page. New fields will be connected to customers' metafields. Responders' answers will be filled in, so it's quite easy to handle the data. I just created one page, and I think that's the form app I need.
The form builder is ok, but the documentation is terrible, and there is no support from Shopify. We wanted to do a very standard and simple form in a section of a custom landing page. This is not possible. The form app is still using json templates and not liquid so its not possible to embed into template using code
