I think people just jumped on to write a review before really diving into the new app. I successfully transferred all of my old templates. Although, I did have to rework them a little bit. I am not sure about adding images, but that isn't something we utilize so can't help combat that negative review. Overall, it was an easy switch and it's an easy app to use.

I was able to set up my previous templates here because I have some coding experience, but I think it would be difficult for those without any coding experience to do so. The help documentation only shows how to code some lines, and you cannot directly copy and paste over the old code (it won't format properly). Even after I set up the templates the way I'd like and the previews showed the correct format, when I try to print multiple packing slips, whole sections of orders are just missing in the printout. It's impossible to use even if you get the templates set up correctly. I will be continuing to use the legacy printer until either it expires or this app gets fixed.

This is not a good move by Shopify. As others have mentioned, this app is not as good as the legacy version. We could have multiple templates for B2B, B2C, gifts, drop shipments, etc. Now we get two, and the packing slip has prices by default, which is a HUGE no-no. Can be removed, but you have to edit the liquid code directly, which is not an option for a lot of customers. And, as others have mentioned, you cannot copy-paste your old templates here, as many variables have changed names, seemingly arbitrarily. You need to understand the liquid code in order to modify them, and they still don't look good without further tweaking. I am not good at coding, so they still look...not so good. To make this app better, please add: 1. More templates 2. WYSIWYG editor, or another way to modify the template without code 3. An easier way to migrate templates 4. Easy way to add pictures, QR codes, and other media 5. A packing slip that does not include prices by default If you can't match even the basics of what the legacy app provided, please do not make us migrate.

Legacy version is much better, not using this "new" version until it at the very least has the same features as the version being outmoded. Why release an incomplete product? Not impressed.

Im working with support now as I agree with most of these reviews. There are issues with this new app. In my opinion, the "legacy" app had a much cleaner look and should continue to be supported. I sent 12-13 orders to the printer yesterday and all did not populate. This was after spending 6 hours with the help of chat gpt to get the code right to have the finished form look like our original form that all in our shop and customer base are used to looking at. The legacy app is good until August 2024 so don't be in a hurry to update any time soon. Update: All the bugs look to be worked out. Without the help of Chat GPT, it would have been difficult to customize the template. All is well now and using it daily

New order print is horrible. There are no sku's on the invoices and it is including my corporate information and DBA on the invoice. Totally NOT wanted. Can't figure out how to fix it

Wow, this is just laughably bad. Discount codes do not populate, amount paid is not included (which makes it look like the invoices and packing slips are unpaid), payment method left off...nothing about this is an improvement. I will hold out hope that Shopify makes this app functional by August.

Shopify....Whats the deal here! Usually you make things easier and more user friendly. What you did was take an effective and streamline order printer and complicated it. This is difficult to navigate and set up. As business owners we do not need you making things harder for us!

Absolutely awful I need a magnifying glass to read the so called new improved Order Printer. To be honest one star is generous it should be zero. Not sure what has improved as I haven't found one yet! Will continue using Legacy until August and hope common sense prevails but not holding my breath! I don't understand code so have no idea how to alter anything so lets look for a new app!

extremely disappointed with this app, the old app was great, had my template just how I needed it for my business, new app does not support the same template, VERY DISSAPOINTED

This app is horrible, the original worked much better. Once again take something that works and trash it. I am really starting to think the developers have never sold anything in there lives.

Absolutely appaling, order printer wasn't great but this is far worse, I was hoping it would at least have the ability to produce credit notes, not a chance it looks like they have just taken the data which the original app used and then put it together with awful formatting. It doesn't even show your VAT number! What use is that? It also shows the website name instead of the correct business name so totally useless as a VAT invoice. I won't go into the packing note showing pricing, or the order list with the date overwriting the order number. Was this coded by a schoolboy with zero business experience? This was an opportunity to produce a really useful app and instead we have this pile of poo.

The original order printer came with a variety of "look and feel" templates and looked great. I am not sure who at Shopify came up with this bad joke which we are now being forced to use.

I assumed I could just copy over the code from the old app, but it no longer works as the subtotal / total fields no longer add up. Why change something with no support or at least option to customise the look and design of the invoice?

Changed my entire template, If you are developing a new app at least make your template attractive. Shopify can't invest that much for their users ? to atleast provide professionals invoices for their clients.

We were happily using (the old) Shopify Order Printer. All the templates were set up perfectly. Tried importing the code in to the new Shopify Order Printer, and it doesn't work. Pretty poor migration strategy from Shopify. At least the old app is still working... for now...

**have tried to put our customised template in the new order print app and it will not work. Have followed the instructions to show certain information - guess what still not working. Spoke to live chat, need to wait for the theme team to get back to me, when will this happen? having extreme troubles printing today and no one can help as we aren't in USA business hours. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. not sure why you changed it 118 one star reviews says it all. How about you listen to your paying customers???** Why fix something that wasn't broken, typical shopify, works on things that aren't required, still haven't come up with a concept to know when an order has been downloaded / printed, I had to create my own tags to say last printed, pity that cant work on other things in the back end like being able to sort products by price, can live on the website, but not in the back end for editing prices, only asked 5 times over 2 years, get told thats a great idea, guess they are too big too listen

My existing templates don't work with the new app. The order number, date, and barcode are all missing—three items that are essential for picking and packing orders. Packing list should not have price information on it. Copy and past old templates does not carry everything over.
