**have tried to put our customised template in the new order print app and it will not work. Have followed the instructions to show certain information - guess what still not working. Spoke to live chat, need to wait for the theme team to get back to me, when will this happen? having extreme troubles printing today and no one can help as we aren't in USA business hours. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. not sure why you changed it 118 one star reviews says it all. How about you listen to your paying customers???** Why fix something that wasn't broken, typical shopify, works on things that aren't required, still haven't come up with a concept to know when an order has been downloaded / printed, I had to create my own tags to say last printed, pity that cant work on other things in the back end like being able to sort products by price, can live on the website, but not in the back end for editing prices, only asked 5 times over 2 years, get told thats a great idea, guess they are too big too listen

My existing templates don't work with the new app. The order number, date, and barcode are all missing—three items that are essential for picking and packing orders. Packing list should not have price information on it. Copy and past old templates does not carry everything over.

A lot of manual work to try and migrate templates. Needs a migration functionality for custom templates. If this is replacing the order printer app shopify should be handling migration for customers not making us recreate the wheel. Even after doing all the work to manually edit the template it is weirdly different sizes in ways I cant control (tiny fonts, random extra space, etc). Worst, it cuts off the text at the bottom of the order. Half way through the shipping line it just cuts off and leaves off everything past that (order notes, etc) Address function decided the address needs extra space added above and below that cant be controlled.

We have used the Shopify in-house app Order Printer to print custom pack slips for many years. This is a nearly identical replacement of the Order Printer (legacy) app but with some changes to the liquid variables. There are two help pages you will need: "Liquid variables and filters reference for Shopify Order Printer" and "Migrate from the Order Printer app to Shopify Order Printer".

I installed this because it said Order Printer would no longer be available and that this app would be better. The order date it prints is not the date of the order, but rather the date the order was printed. This is quite irritating. Also, the default template prints very small, so is significantly harder to read than the old Order Printer.

The previous app was better. It supported the logo being part of the invoice and allowed better formatting. This new system is actually a let down. Worse, they're not going to let us keep using the old one.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to import my previous template. I contacted support for assistance and after wasting 90 minutes of my time with a support person who was akin to a receptionist, I STILL do not have my previous template imported. Shopify and their support & apps are NOT as good as they used to be. Sad face.

Ok but not as good as old app. How can we modify templates? The writing is too small and much less easy to read. To makle order number bigger (essential) add this line of code to replace line 6 - if too large change x-large to large Order {{ order.order_name }}

Not impressed. Seems like another change for the sake of it. Every time something is updated it just creates more work and for no apparent reason. It's counter productive and helps nobody. It would at least be something if we were given the reason for the change. What was wrong with the original app?

Downloaded after long time use of the legacy Order Printer which works very well, at no extra cost! Thank you Shopify. If feedback is welcome I would love to see: - Block style editing of the order form, similar to an e-mail creator. The current CSS style editing is limited for most who don't have the knowledge to work in this format. - In the order overview tab, please add the option for view more columns, the most helpful for our business would be "Delivery Method" as we need to distinguish between Standard, Express & other delivery methods. This will determine the priority in which orders are printed and dispatched. - The inclusion of tags at the order overview stage. This also gives more information at a glance when printing orders. Other than these points the Order Printer app is a great option if you do not want to download 3rd Party apps, and as mentioned, at no extra cost it's a very good option :)

Moving the logo over can be hard to figure out but follow the documentation. I ended up dropping the image code for my logo on line 4 (vs #7 as per the example) to get my logo centered at the top of the page. Regarding printing: You'll find both the radio buttons for "Invoice" and "Packing Slip" are checked by default. To default to only one, look at the top of the "Template" page for both pages and uncheck the one you don't want to have auto-populate.

It's unfortunate that the Order Printer (now called 'Legacy') is being removed. The biggest value I saw in the existing Order Printer app was my ability to have more than 2 templates, for various purposes. I even used one template as a "work order" of sorts, showing exactly what needed to be produced for the order. The new version only supports "Invoice" and "Packing Slip", which, by the way, a packing slip should never contain pricing details by default. Please add additional template support to allow for shop owners to generate various printouts.

UPDATE: Based on my review, Shopify reached out and they helped ensure my old template imported correctly. When it wasn't, someone fixed the issue quickly. I appreciate Shopify and the team behind this template working to ensure I was satisfied. Thanks much! I see no advantage in this template. In fact, I see it as one big hassle. It's designed for business to business and not a direct sale to consumers. What you see on the preview is different from how it actually prints (even when you haven't made any changes to the template). For example, the $ signs don't actually line up on the page. That's just sloppy work. It's clear that when this was launched it was not actually tested with a "real" invoice. I find this incredibly frustrating as I now have to figure out how to fix this and it's a total waste of my time. The address and store name pull from your legal store info when most sellers don't use this on receipts. How about Shopify fix these issues and test the template BEFORE actually launching this? Supposedly it's "Easy to Set Up." Hardly.

Once customized it works well. I am disappointed that a new version is coming out. The version I am currently using is now being called the "Legacy" version. I was encouraged to install the new app. I did install it. All of the settings from the old app which I paid someone to customize do not carry over. Shopify must assume that all of their customers are efficient in back end programming. That is not the case. I tried to get help from the "chat" support feature. Epic fail which is typical. Not that the chat person was not trying. He was but since I am not savvy working the back end of software his recommendations are not good enough. I tried to follow his instructions but I can't complete the task. Shopify used to have a good phone support option that they eliminated. Very bad mistake on their part. I have requested a phone support option and they refuse to offer it. When it was available it worked amazing and we always were able to get our issues resolved. The reason is because the phone support person could log into my computer and show me exactly what to do. With the chat support it takes a very long time and simply does not work in most cases. Now I am on my own and unfortunately I am not a happy customer.
