I wanted to switch over to Shopify's app to make it a more streamlined experience but there just isn't the functionality needed yet. As another reviewer has said there is no way to choose what day a customer will be charge or when their product will be shipped. Plus the subscription widget seemed to duplicate the options which must be some kind of glitch. Still some work to be done but I'm hoping in the future I will be able to change my review once functionality has increased.

Please allow multiple shipping options! We have different shipping tiers on Shopify so I don't understand why that can't just carry through to Shopify Subscriptions since this is all under Shopify. Also, we have tried importing our subscriber list and since the shipping price is wrong, we were told to delete the app for 72 hours to clear our list and start over. Did that and canceled subscribers are still showing up in our contracts dashboard meaning we have duplicates inhibiting us from selling subscriptions to customers. Support - please help!

Minimal ability to edit the text, leading to confusion over terms. Specifically, the bottom text about cancel/pause/renew -- very handy, agree with it entirely on principle, I wanted to (but could not) edit the text to point out that this is for the subscription purchase and not the one-off. The formatting left it a bit vague. Colors do not pull dynamically from BRAND, which feels an odd and uncomfortable choice to leave off. Unsure when subscriptions bill -- the first of the month? The day customers sign up? This is not a setting nor was easy to find out when installing the app. Options were unclear. I can add an option to send weekly or monthly or annually, I assume that's how often to customer gets charged? Would request clarification on wording in the dashboard so I can offer better thoughts. At first I took it as "oh, customer can be charged for 3 months, and then I'll mail... once... a month... no that's not right..." While installed, there was a conflict where the subscription app was duplicating in my footer. This is not a mark-off of the app, may be a theme issue, but mentioning it for dev exploration. The checklist in the backend upon install did not check off steps as I was going through them, which lead to considerable worry and time spent over exploration: "Am I doing this right, is something not clicking, what is happening." Overall, the idea is GREAT as a starter. The execution needs review, the backend communication needs review. Will keep an eye on app to see if work continues.

It's a good start for this app, however there are a few things which need to be added or adjusted: - More frontend design options (very limited at this point, own css customizations would be helpful) - Options for customers to select dates for delivery and payment.

Good, the only thing is say you can’t or customers can’t choose the exact date they want the product recurring charge to be on. Hopefully this will come in the next update, other than that’s its good for a free subscription app Also it’s not knowing since the update I’ve updated the inventory but still not working

La consiglio per la semplicità di utilizzo, è sviluppata da Shopify quindi perfettamente compatibile e gratuita. Dovreste implementare la possibilità di pubblicizzarla con delle email automatiche e con dei banner posizionabili nel sito

Good in theory, but not quite ready (for me). I've played around with this and the customer-side is not very intuitive. First, upon checkout confirmation, the 'go to subscriber portal' did not take me to the Shopify subscriber portal (I am currently using another app, but had it turned off for this test). Then, once I did get into the portal, I wasn't able to manage anything other than "skip" following deliveries. Now, I am a service-based membership model, so I don't have anything to 'deliver', so for future iterations of this app, I would love to be able to change the 'delivery' title on the listing to a custom title. I also need to be able to have a customer purchase, then the system auto-tag the customer (and transaction, ideally), so that I can properly set up the automations I need to provide them discounts to the shop offers as well as other inclusions. I really would love to utilize a Shopify-native app for my membership, so I won't be getting rid of Shopify Subscriptions yet, but will be watching closely for updates. (Pretty please, Shopify team!)

Great and super easy to setup app, wish they released it million years ago. the only feedback i have is bit more customization for the widget itself, like that "Subscription policy" under the bordered box may confuse some thinking they are getting billed when they select one-time purchase, that copy needs to either get inside that box or better yet, show/hide when customer selects one-time or any of the subscriptions. More color(background on select) customizations would be nice too but it's ok for now, i am sure they'll improve it in no time.

I really, really, really want to be able to use this native subscription app, BUT... there is no way that I can see that a customer can add or remove products from their account portal. Am I missing something?

Hi, glad to hear you are excited about using the Subscription app! You can set up customer management in Shopify's customer accounts. If you have new customer accounts active, customers can log in to their account from your online store navigation and manage their subscriptions. If you have classic customer accounts, then you can share the subscription management url to give customers access to manage their own subscriptions. Customers with new customer accounts or classic customer accounts can manage their subscriptions by clicking Manage your subscription from your automated subscription email notifications. These are automatically turned on when you download the app and you can edit them from the Settings section in the Subscription section of the app. Turn on subscription management in your Shopify admin settings to allow customers to manage their subscriptions. Steps: From the Shopify admin, go to Settings > Customers. Under New customer accounts in the Manage subscriptions section, click Turn on. Optional: You can add the Subscriptions page link. You can find out more information on the help center here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/purchase-options/shopify-subscriptions/customer-experience#subscription-management-for-customers Hope this helps and don't hesitate to reach out to support if you have more questions. So excited that shopify created a native app for subscriptions. The pricing for third party subscription apps wasn't sustainable for the scale of my store. Thank you Shopify!

The app works fine, but the choice between buy it once and subscribe also shows at the bottom of my online store, below the footer... is there a fix for this? Other than that it works well for our simple subscription needs

Hi there We have made updates that solve the problems you faced for the placement of the subscription widget To ensure the correct placement of the subscription widget we recommend that - If you are on a vintage theme, ensure that you have added the code snipped to the product template before turning on the app embed. Adding the code snippet will ensure that the widget displays in the correct place on the product page. You'll have to add the code snipped to the appropriate section of the product template. See the vintage theme instructions on this page - https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/purchase-options/shopify-subscriptions/setup#display-subscriptions-on-online-store. -If you are on a 2.0 theme please ensure that the app embed is toggled to off. App embeds are only used for vintage themes. Hope this helps! We thank you for feedback that helped with the continuous evolution of our app Best, Ameya Bongale Product, Shopify Subscriptions

Sorry guys. Did you announce the Subscription App last Summer? Yes. I know it is hard work. I like to make everything simple. Your app is simple. It is no problem. What is the problem? The widget. The visible part for our customers. The translation needs to be fixed fast. I wonder why the copy of the widget is visible at the bottom of the page. And a tip for customization? Allow selecting the primary option for a subscription. Just now, only a one-time purchase is possible. Thank you for your fast repair.

As many have already mentioned - I have been waiting for this app to come out for ages. Thrilled it is finally here. - The interface is clean and simple and looks great on our site. That's an awesome plus. - The customer-facing interface and account management are clean and function very well. This was always a big problem we had with other paid subscription apps. We want to make it really easy and transparent for customers to view and edit their subscriptions. - The only negative piece of the app was that porting over previous customer data from other subscription apps was overly complicated and very painful. While there is some documentation, you will need to translate the info from your previous tool, and the process can be very manual. That being said - the Shopify support was outstanding, and they helped us work through these issues. Without Shopify's support working through the import of old data, we would have had to ask all customers to sign up again, which would have been painful. - My only immediate request for the app in future updates is that the analytics become a bit more detailed. It would be really nice to be able to drill into the data. - I would give this app 5-Stars because a) it's great to have a simple native subscription app, b) it's great that it's free, and c) Shopify support was fantastic as we worked on transferring over.

This app will not apply discounts as directed when subscription items are placed in the cart. Support from Shopify as a whole is poor. Trying to obtain help in support results in promises to email back with solutions, which never occurs. Additionally, attempts to get assistance with issues migrating customers from a 3rd party app was also unhelpful and excusatory.

Hi there, We apologize for having a poor experience using Shopify Subscriptions. For the application of discounts, we would recommend turning on the offer discounts option within the app. You can find guidance on migrating from 3P apps in our documentation here - https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/products/purchase-options/shopify-subscriptions/import-export Hope this helps. But please feel free to reach out to us if you need more assistance. We are here to help! Best, Ameya Bongale Product Manager, Subscriptions

I wanted to switch from Skio but quickly ran into a show stopper: The delivery interval dropdown doesn't support days (my supplements come with a 45-day supply). I expected more from a company like Shopify.
