Shoplift ‑ CRO & A/B Testing

The product itself works as advertised. We like the fact variants load without the original-page flash you get with some client-side testing apps. Two reasons I uninstalled. First, pricing. If you run a high-traffic store, the session-based cost gets very expensive very quickly. In our case several times what comparable tools charge. Check the maths carefully against your own traffic profile before committing. Second, and the bigger issue for me: shortly after I signed up, a private support email I sent them appeared as a screenshot in a Shoplift LinkedIn post, used as marketing content celebrating my switch from a competitor. My surname was redacted, but my first name, the date, and the full text of my email were not. Nobody asked my permission. The redaction achieved nothing: the competitor mentioned in the post identified me from it and contacted me directly. Shoplift's team joked about the switch in the comments. If you email this company's support, be aware your message may become their content. Capable tool, but the combination of the pricing and how they posted my email correspondence on social media means I won't be back.
This app seemed great whilst using, finding improvements etc, but then I noticed that it caused my shopify data to be unreliable, especially the conversion rate. So I uninstalled it, now the data is recovering, but code remained that was sending my paid traffic to blank web pages, so I was just wasting money on ads. Please be careful.

Brilliant tool. Very responsive customer support who quickly resolved a minor issue I was having and gave me a month for free for my troubles. Gary was great.
The Shoplift app has been an incredible tool for helping increase our stores CVR, RPV & CTR's our account manager Anya is really incredible and super helpful with every question we ask. This app is an absolute gamechanger for anyone looking to do any CRO work on their own themes. Thanks again SL & Anya
