Awful app changes the location of your images and no bulk way to restore
We tried reaching out to the merchant to better understand the situation, but unfortunately did not receive much response. During the setup process, the merchant selected the option to optimize image filenames, and our app followed that configuration. It seems that the theme relies on image filenames, which led to an unexpected theme compatibility issue. The images could have been restored in bulk, but the merchant was not aware of this feature and restored them one by one. Although the app worked as configured, we understand how frustrating this experience must have been. For this reason, we issued a full refund and also provided a detailed technical report on the store’s speed and SEO as a goodwill gesture. The pricing does not make any sense. I don't know what I'm getting for my money. On the main page of this company, it shows an annual plan listing the features offered. When clicking to the page to buy, the feature list showing is different and LESS than what is advertised on the main page. Please put more effort into your pricing model.

The reason Yearly plan is different from monthly plans is due to Shopify not having usage charges on their yearly plan API. So we have to work around It and this is why price is not shown in the Shopify billing window. We have asked them to include It through customer support, Twitter, but nothing was done yet. The yearly plan includes all of the features of the app and Is a great way to save on costs if you do not have thousands of images being added each month. Be VERY CAREFUL with hidden charges ! 1 year after I got billed and unfortunately the way Shopify works, once you install you authorize any charge and you can't make limits, only the app provider can.

We understand how unexpected charges can be frustrating so I refunded all extra charges. Also I want to clarify a few points. Our app gives you full control to prevent extra charges: 1. Disable recharge entirely so optimizations stop when the plan limit is reached. 2. Set a monthly spending cap in the settings. 3. Turn off image optimization to avoid any additional charges. Also for your store, we provided significant value: 1. Optimized 16,626 images for size, SEO, and quality. 2. Fixed and redirected 323 broken links. 3. Improved your store’s speed with asset preloading. 4. Fixed schema errors to enhance your search rankings. 5. Added lazy loading to images where It's needed. And we have new features like IndexNow, site audit which can benefit you even more! I’ve already refunded the full amount of extra charges and disabled recharge for your account to ensure no further unexpected charges. But It seems that once we refunded you - you stopped communicating.

Terrible predatory app. I used the trial version and ran through a few images. I didn't see the results I wanted and cancelled before the end of the trial. They still charged my shopify account $67!! Stay far away, just optimize your images yourself. You'll have better results anyway without another app slowing your store down.

We reached out to the merchant, explained why they got charged and refunded the full amount: https://prnt.sc/z0FhukoML3v_ The reason the merchant was charged is because they used the app over trial, uninstalled and got charged at a later date for the pending charge. This happens all the time and we always refund on request. It's really sad to see reviews instead of receiving an email for billing issues when we can resolve them within minutes, especially when we get reviews published only after 24h or more so we cannot react fast to the issue at hand. Terrible experience. It made all the video thumbnails the main photo image. I had to manually go in and rearrange every product image in my store to get the correct main image back. It claims you can restore images but you have to do it one by one and there is no clear place to even do so. Even worse, it reduced the visual quality of all my images. And yes it was noticeable!
To anyone reading this - If you have any kind of issue or need help with your store speed - our customer support is available on our app or through email. We will help you as much as we can! --- Old response: We were able to reach out to the customer and figured out that the quality of the images was not effected and our app optimized 320 MB from 400+ images. We also optimized the image filenames and ALT texts which will increase image search results! We explained the issue with videos being put to the front of the image gallery after optimization and the merchant gave great advice to add a warning for all merchants that this might happen. It was implemented within a hour. The merchant told us that they would reconsider the review, but started completely ignoring us after we refunded them all charges and implemented all of their suggestions.
