While many features of this app are effective, the Peppol integration is currently impractical. Specifically, the inability to pull VAT numbers directly from the order page makes generating Peppol-compliant e-invoices nearly impossible. Since compliance requires the invoice to originate from a webshop order, the current workflow is highly inconvenient and results in a high failure rate that is only discovered after the fact.
Thank you for taking the time to share this. We're genuinely sorry the Peppol workflow has let you down. You've pointed at something real, though the underlying constraint sits with Shopify's API: the VAT number captured in your Shopify admin isn't exposed in any API data, which is why no third-party app, Sufio included, can see it, sync it, or display it on an invoice. We're acutely aware of this limitation because we take compliance seriously. Sufio has actually offered ways around it from the very beginning of the app, to make sure we offer compliant-ready invoices. Capturing, validating, storing and displaying VAT numbers automatically is a feature offered well before Shopify introduced their own solution. Depending on how your store is set up, there's a good chance we can materially reduce the failure rate you're describing. I personally reviewed our conversations and didn't see you reaching out to us directly to address this. I'd love to walk through your specific setup with you—could you drop me a line at [email protected]? Happy to dig in. (Djimi, Head of Support)

App used to work perfectly fine, but since today we get the error that we have reached our limit even though we should have 45 invoices left according to the app. Support has not responded within 6 hours, the only work around is to upgrade and pay more.... Quite disappointing experience
Thank you for your feedback and we're really sorry for the frustration this has caused; especially when you just needed to get a couple of invoices out quickly. To clarify what happened: Your plan includes 50 invoices per month, and you’re absolutely right that the app showed you have 45 invoices left. However, the invoices you were trying to create are for orders from previous months (where your account already generated invoices for thousands of orders between April and July). Once the monthly limit was exceeded in those past months, the system can’t retroactively create new invoices for that period on the same plan; even though your current month still has allowance left. I completely agree this can feel confusing from inside the app, and we’re already looking at how we can make these limits clearer so it doesn’t feel like you’re being blocked unfairly or pushed to upgrade. We’ve reached out to you by email with a proposal to temporarily increase your invoice limit at no extra cost, so you can issue the two invoices you mentioned without needing to upgrade your plan. If you reply to that message, we’ll be happy to sort this out for you right away and make sure everything is working as you need. Thanks again for sharing your experience; it helps us improve both the app and our communication. 🙏

Falling behind other invoice apps by not allowing ACH payments via Stripe or other integration. Stripe accepts ACH, Sufio only uses credit card functions from Stripe costing users a much higher transaction fee. Enabling ACH would save us 2.5%+ on all invoice payments. Developer finally provided a great workaround to view amount due on each invoice from the home screen, hoping for quick native implementation, for now we will bookmark the special url. The "Due" status still overrides the "Partial" status tag...maybe add a new tag that says "Partial Due"??? Clean, simple app but very basic for the cost. Can't search/filter by customer. A simple filter by customer function would be helpful. You can sort by customer/contact however we have almost 5000 customers and lots of scrolling to find the right one. If Sufio made a couple changes to their view/filter it could be awesome. Why not implement a search or filter box to find the customer??? These are simply features to implement. Not many viewing/sorting improvements seen in almost 2yrs. Software by subscription should come with continuous improvements....not here ***in response to the Sufio reply below.....the "partial paid" status only functions until the invoice becomes "due". At that point that tag/status is lost and each invoice must be opened to check the actual status.***
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave this review. We really appreciate your honest feedback. While we’re glad to hear you find Sufio clean and simple, we’re sorry your overall experience hasn’t been as smooth or powerful as you’d hoped. Just to clarify a few things you mentioned: → Sufio does support a range of invoice statuses—including created, paid, due, and partially paid—and we’ve made it easier to track these at a glance. You can see the total or amount due directly from the home screen, and use filters to sort documents by various statuses, including order and payment states. → We’ve also added advanced search and filtering tools. You can search by customer, product, invoice number, credit note, pro forma, and more—making it much easier to find what you need, even with a large customer base. → As for ACH payments—you’re absolutely right that they can offer lower fees. Unfortunately, due to Shopify’s partner terms, we’re currently unable to support ACH through Stripe in our integration. It’s something we’d love to offer, and we’re keeping a close eye on any changes that might allow us to revisit this in the future. We know how important these kinds of features are, and we’ve been working hard to evolve Sufio into a more powerful and flexible invoicing solution. We’ve launched a lot of new features in recent years, many of which are listed on our Product News page if you’d like to check them out. Thanks again for helping us grow and improve Sufio.

We keep getting 504 Gateway timeouts. It is very slow in the past 3-4 months and we are on verge of migrating to another app unless they can speed things up
Hi there, We're sorry you had this issue. Since your review was posted we have significantly upgraded our infrastructure to ensure this no longer happens.
