App store: $199 – 800 orders, app already installed – 500 orders, and when you increase it to 800, it now costs $259. To me, this seems very suspicious and like a scam right from the start, and that's only half the features. If you want all the features, it costs $699 for 1000 orders.

many features, such as tiers, are not even in the pro plan, there is no support, and the sales representative gave us a free trial, which we were charged for, and the money was never returned in full, more than two weeks

The app was working for us in the beginning, and for some reason it's not anymore. We are trying to figure it out with the support, but they are useless. For the amount we pay, there should be better support!

I have been using this app for 8 years along with their other apps, Yotpo Reviews and Yotpo SMSbump. I waited way too long to delete their clunky apps. And because I was a long time member, they thought the need to disconnect my Klaviyo integration because I was grandfathered into their old plan and wasn't paying their "Premium Price". That's not MY FAULT! When I had an issue, they would try to get me to upgrade. Why would I want to upgrade and pay more money for less when I have been using your app since August 2017? Yotpo has left me with a very bad taste in my mouth.

In April 2024, we discontinued the Silver package and transitioned customers either to our free tier or offered an upgrade to the Gold package. We announced this in several communication cycles via email. We understand that this might have caused some inconvenience, and we apologize if the prior notifications didn’t reach you as intended. At this stage, while we’re not able to offer an alternative solution beyond our existing tiers, we would be happy to discuss how the Gold package might better serve your needs if you’re interested. Disappointed with Yotpo Loyalty and Reviews. Basic features like percentage-based discounts — which are essential for how we run our business — are locked behind their most expensive plan. It feels like they charge premium prices for bare minimum functionality. Definitely not worth the cost for what you get.

We use to use Swell and they were purchased by Yotpo. Yotpo customer service only can get be assessed by email using a ticket system that takes about a day to get an answer. When they have an issue there is no answer for such as why does this customer not have an awards account. We have been a customer of theirs for years and on the Shopify platform for 10 years.

Absolutely the worst customer service. You cannot get passed the AI chat. Paid for a pro plan. A hiccup happened which reverted my plan to “free”. Tried to contact customer service to get them to dix it, but AI won’t let me talk to a live person cause my plan is “free”…

Yotpo, as a company, overall has been a disaster for us. It has been the worst business decision I have made in 40 years. After churning over a million dollars in subscriptions and 3,000+ customers, earning money from all those while it was happening, only to discontinue the service themselves, I am not sure why I thought Loyalty and Rewards would be better. Support is not good and takes weeks for an answer. The Direct Rewards feature is not functioning correctly and requires internal assistance to complete, which can take weeks. No one can give you a straight answer. Do yourself a favor and RUN! Yotpo has killed our momentum and business, and I would not recommend ANY of their services. We tried them all and paid dearly, figuratively and literally.

The phone number they list is wrong and for an air conditioning company. Also no live chat. Hurts our businesses when clients have questions that we cannot get quick answers too.

This is without a doubt the most difficult problematic app that I have attempted to install and customize on my website in my 11 years on shopify and 26 years selling on line. Instructions are not concise and there are errors. Having to communicate through chat is a HUGE time sucker. It takes days to get an answer to something that a 10 minute phone call would fix. I love the "redeem loyalty point at checkout feature" but just try to install it! It works on a checkout extension that is only available for Shopify Plus. I am just about to delete the app and ask for a refund. I have wasted 3 days on this and today is number 4. I have been waiting over an hour for someone in chat with and I have been Number 3 in line the whole time. I already have smile.io and have since 2016. This just sounded easier for my customers to redeem if they could do so at check out. I am beyond frustrated at this point. Update: I could not get help so I discontinued the app. They owe me $40 for the money that I added to the SMS/email app. I asked for the refund and was told to uninstall that apps first and the refund request would be processed. After that all communications were cut and I cannot contact them. My emails are blocked as well. How unprofessional is that? I have never had to say this about an app, but HIGHLY do NOT recommend.

Dont use it. After i switch from smile to yotpo i lose 70% of users that use rewards. We pay 4 time more then smile.io and get very bad results. Waste of time & lots of money.

Definitely the issues have not been resolved. After nearly 1 year using the app... Update on the review - it will definitely make you loose money. The interface is so confusing, nothing works properly when you set up a system. I would say the main issue is the difficult to set up/use interface, and customer service that is below standard and very unhelpful. Overall, I would not advise to install this, even if you have a developer.

They are probably the worst service out there that is quick to take your money but not provide the support for the services. I cancelled this service back in July and they keep on charging me. Charge me again and you will get a lawsuit!

Unfortunately the app automatically changed the settings in the points to dollar ratio (after they were set by us) resulting in customer rewards doubling and putting our business in jeopardy.

unfortunately i have had an extremly hard time setting up the program. it isn't easy getting a hold of people to help you. if you arent doing their professional plan for at least $1500 a month then the help they give you is very minimal and it is very complicated. the customer support isn't responsive when you have questions. ive been trying to set up the program for a week and a half with over 10 hours put into it and everything is still a mess.

After six months, I strongly do not recommend Yotpo. It's a subpar product that is clunky and all over the place. Their admin interface is mismatched and terrible. It's waaay overpriced. Their outside marketing looks good, but once under the hood, you'll regret it.

APPs keeps showing "we could not redeem your points" after paid for $199. The customer service is good, but the technical support is really terrible. Such a serious problem has not been resolved for a week.

Our customers earn rewards points on shipping fees and taxes paid... not just their purchased item's total. This whole experience with Swell / Yotpo rewards has been a nightmare.
