VanChat AI Chat & AI Chatbot

This is the first AI chat tool we’ve used for our website. What amazed me was that it took only a few minutes to capture the website information and handles at least 85% of customer questions from the start. You need to train it for questions that are not mentioned anywhere on the website. After a certain period of time, it became a full 24/7 assistant. Lucas has been very helpful and patient walking me through issues whenever I have trouble using this app. There were some unexpected charges, but he addressed our concerns reasonably.

I’ve had a very positive experience with VanChat. The support team is very responsive and always handles my requests quickly. When I need to make changes or fix issues, the team follows up efficiently and helps resolve problems without long waiting times. I’m also impressed with how well VanChat understands our product pages. It can learn and capture product information in detail, making the responses more accurate and helpful for customers. Overall, VanChat has made customer communication much easier and more efficient. The fast support response and strong understanding of our products have greatly improved the service experience.

Set this up on a small Shopify store in a category where accuracy matters more than chat volume. We have claims we are not allowed to make, so an assistant that improvises would be a liability rather than an asset. The AI Instructions layer is what won me over: a global instruction plus separate scenario rules, so you can hard-code what the assistant must never say. I tested it with deliberately leading questions, the kind designed to pull an overclaim out of a bot, and it held the line every time. Product and page knowledge synced from the store with no work from me. Two things to know going in. The global instruction is capped at 1500 characters, which is tight if you have a lot of rules, though the scenario rules absorb the overflow well. And the setting that makes the widget visible to customers lives on the Dashboard rather than in Widget Settings, which took me a while to find.

The proactive sales feature is incredibly powerful, and this app's AI capabilities are the most powerful I've experienced among most Shopify online customer service plugins! It can resolve most customer inquiries. It doesn't have bloated, complex settings and features, and it won't affect your internet speed. I once used a chat plugin with the highest download count, and it was so laggy every day that it made me question my existence. Replying to over twenty customer service replies was a huge waste of time, and I kept getting errors when typing in the code.
