Releasit Cash on Delivery is exactly what we needed. The installation took only a few minutes, and the app gives us full control over COD—custom fees or discounts, minimum/maximum order rules, and clean, localized messaging at checkout. It works flawlessly with our theme and provides a clear, frictionless experience for customers who prefer to pay on delivery. We’ve seen fewer abandoned checkouts and better order quality thanks to the built-in validations. The documentation is clear, but what really stands out is the support team—fast, knowledgeable, and proactive. If COD is part of your strategy, this app is a no-brainer.

I recently had a very disappointing support interaction with Dzenan from Releasit. I reached out for help after upgrading to the new Shopify thank you page and updating Shopify notification template. I’m on the Enterprise plan, so I expected a more thorough service and at least a full check of the installation, but I kept getting partial answers and was told to “check with Shopify” for the rest. Even after asking twice to confirm that the setup was correct, the request was never properly addressed. The whole experience felt rushed, incomplete, and far below the level of support I would expect from a premium plan. If you’re looking for attentive, clear, and complete help, my experience suggests you may not get it here.

I understand you wanted a full review of your setup after switching to the new Shopify thank you page and updating your templates. I checked the conversation with Dzenan. He updated the Order Confirmation template, which is the one we can edit. The other templates are managed by Shopify, so any changes there need to go through their support. That said, the communication could have been clearer, and I understand how that made things confusing. We’ll make sure to improve how we explain this in the future. The app works perfectly, you can even customize it just for the countries where you want to sell with COD. Support is quick in response and very efficient. We have been using this app since we decided to add COD, recommended.

This app is not compatible with multi-currency/multi-locale stores. It fails to convert the currency for orders, always billing in the store's default currency. This results in invoices that are void and cannot be processed by our accounting team. We had to cancel COD orders and manually place them again which disrupted our workflow significantly. The minimum order value for COD doesn't function correctly due to currency issues. If the store where COD is enabled uses a different currency than the store's default, the feature doesn't work. This defeats the purpose of using this app for multi-currency stores. We had to uninstall the app and will maintain a 1-star rating until a solution is provided.

I fully understand how serious these issues are, especially when they affect your accounting workflow, order processing, and overall store operations. You should never have to deal with void invoices or manually recreate orders because of app limitations, and I’m truly sorry this caused such disruption. Regarding the currency conversion issue, you are correct that certain limitations can occur depending on how Shopify handles multi-currency data. In some setups, especially when the payment method and storefront currency differ from the store’s base currency, Shopify does not always provide consistent currency information to apps. This can lead to the app receiving only the default store currency, which unfortunately affects features like invoice generation and minimum order value validation. That being said, this is still our responsibility to address, and we are actively working on improving compatibility with multi-currency environments. Your feedback is extremely valuable here, and I appreciate you taking the time to explain the exact impact it had on your workflow. It helps us prioritize these improvements and understand the real-world consequences for merchants. I am very sorry that this led you to uninstall the app and leave a 1-star rating.
