I was charge $100 without any notice by Chargeflow during set up. This charge is only temporary however this does not make it right. I have successfully subscribed to many apps who complete this type of verification however they usually charge only $1. $100 is unacceptable and when I contacted their support to question this, I was met with a very corporate style 'policy' message which was a extreme contrast to the friendly and personable approach I received from Jason in their customer support team. 5 Stars for Jason. 0 Stars for Chargeflow. I will be looking at their competitors to find an alternative. Jason was great at helping set up my account. Be prepared for a bit of a wait for support but once they get to you, they are super responsive, friendly and professional. Now Chargeflow is set up, I am looking forward to seeing what it can do for my business.

Absolutely shocked by Chargeflow internal Policies. BEWARE. In order to set up your account they will charge $100 as a temporary hold on your card. At no point in the process was I notified of this and I still cannot believe that this happened. I have installed many apps who perform a similar verification of your card, but usually with only $1. $100 is completely unnecessary and with no notice too, it is completely unacceptable. I would Like to add that I was Very Impressed with the support from Jason, he made set up feel very easy. But I am left very upset by this decision and the cold corporate email from their billing department outlining their policy: "At the moment, this is outside our scope, as it’s a company policy that applies to all customers who enroll in our service." Whether it applies to all customers or not does not make the policy correct and in this instance, I believe it makes the situation even worse. I will be looking for an alternative.

I'm 90% sure they're a scam. Alert and prevent feature is a definitely scam - I called the customers whom they auto refunded and they were actually enjoying our products! And even the responses they write can be done via shopify itself now! No need for this app - save your time and money folks.

The help from the team was good everything is setup now, having my first chargeback. Let's hope for the best. UPDATE: DON'T USE THIS APP, My chargeback has been lost. Now the customer has his money back and a free product. It's better to provide the proof yourself, a lot or promises but 0% results. Also my Shop Pay is deactivated because of this chargeback. I don't recommend it!

Since we implemented this app, we lost all the chargebacks we got. Comparatively with before where we used to win about 30-40% of the cases

Chargeflow’s defenses make no sense. They’re extremely basic and usually just repeat the same line: “the customer didn’t follow our terms and policy.” They don’t analyze the case, they don’t check the details, and in my experience, they even got the disputed amount wrong. It’s obviously a copy-and-paste defense. Unless you sell cheap products in huge volumes and don’t care about the outcome of your disputes, stay away from this app. If you want a proper defense, you’re much better off doing it yourself. Just upload the customer’s conversation and order details into ChatGPT and have it generate a solid dispute response for you.

Horrible experience with this company. We had a win rate of around 30% and they do not even reach out to remind you to submit additional information that can be helpful, they just submit a prompt from chatGPT and call it a day. You're better off submitting more compelling evidence yourself, on top of that we were charged an 8% cancellation fee.

Uninstall immediately even FREE Plan. Auto submit chargeback to Shopify without key evidence cause our cases lost. First time try chargeflow, first then we lost. Now buyer get our free product without return, and we lost both money and good + 15usd chargeback fee, we will do our own document for now

Absolutely terrible experience. I installed Chargeflow hoping for help with chargebacks, but quickly realized they add no evidence to disputes. I submitted my own info, and their app left cases completely blank, yet they still claimed they were “handling” the disputes. When I tried to uninstall and cancel, I followed their instructions exactly. Despite this, they charged my credit card $17.03 AFTER I requested termination, claiming an 8% fee for a dispute that was still “under review”—which they did zero work on. On top of that, no refund was issued for the $100 I paid when I first joined for alerts option. I was penalized for wanting to leave the service after only a short time of use, and they never disclosed these hidden fees upfront. Their email responses were dismissive, and even after I made it clear I didn’t need their help and would handle my own disputes, they charged me anyway. If you’re a Shopify store owner. It’s a scammy billing model designed to trap you and charge you even after cancellation. I’ve reported them to Shopify and will be disputing the charges with my bank. I unistalled the app after a few minutes and they still charge me.

We were very satisfied with Chargeflow during the first year of using their service. Unfortunately, in recent months the quality of service has declined significantly. We had a negotiated price of $29 for alerts, yet we were charged $39 and the request for a refund was refused. Additionally, the Alerts feature does not perform as advertised. Instead of the claimed 90% effectiveness, our actual results were closer to 50%. Regarding chargeback management, the 25% fee they take on recovered chargebacks is among the highest in the market. Several competitors now offer comparable or better results at a much lower cost. Based on our recent experience, we cannot recommend the app in its current state.

Lost a fairly straightforward chargeback with this company - a chargeback that should have easily been won! It was an order not received with all proof of receipt attached to the order. Certainly not worth money. I uninstalled and canceled the app as soon as I found out the news that the chargeback was lost.

I had already left a one-star review, but I deleted it because they refunded me and promised things would be resolved. Unfortunately, I’m back because nothing has changed. Chargeflow offered “no charge until December 31, 2024”, but they kept charging me even after I deleted the app in January. Now it’s April and I’m still getting charged €90–€100 every month, with no clear explanation. In 2025, I only won one chargeback, so I have no idea where these fees are coming from. Stay far away from this app – it’s misleading, overpriced, and dishonest. I will do everything I can to report them to Shopify and make sure no other merchants fall into the same trap.

We have had the app installed for a few months now and have not seen a difference aside from having the task "automated". Win Rate over a 6 month period is still at 0%. We do have a business model that Chargeflow may not be familiar with along with multiple factors outside of immediate control. We do appreciate having 1 less task but was hoping for better results. What we would love to see is Chargeflow go back through all the lost/disputed orders that were actually fulfilled and try to get some quick wins (if at all possible) from those.

Lost over €1,000 in just one week because of Chargeflow's inability to respond to disputes on time! This level of negligence is outrageous and completely unacceptable. The fact that I have to deal with these disputes myself shows how unprofessional this service truly is. I demand immediate contact with someone who can take responsibility and provide the support I need. Your lack of communication and failure to act in a timely manner is costing me money and causing immense frustration. This cannot continue.

horrible hidden fees. Edit: Now after I have ended it with them they harass me daily. When I say please leave me alone they say not until this review is taken off. They have put my phone number and business on scam calls. Horrible

This company just double charges me twice the same chargeback 2805,36$ !! Crazy, I have to escalade to shopify billing team to get a refund. I suggest to avoid this company.

Not a fan. Ive lost more chargebacks than I've won. What they do is the same thing Shopify does. You are better off just getting a flow app and blocking high risk orders instead of getting chargebacks. don't waste your time

Absolutely not helpful. They do the same thing we can do in shopify. Add all the evidence and they do nothing to help you win a chargeback just a waste of time.

I don't understand why all these 5* reviews. Please write honest reviews and stop misleading other merchants. This app is doing exactly what you could by yourself and nothing miracle. You can just respond to the chargeback by yourself and that's what this ap is doing. About winning is the most important thing, so you have same chance either doing on your own or use this app. I don't see this app is better than what you can do by responding by yourself. It is useless and misleading and please help yourself by adding any evidence you have to fight your chargebacks. They are very hard to win as the banks are always on customer's side. good luck
