**Quality Products, but App Issues and Misleading Pricing and Shipping** I chose Contrado because of their unique and high-quality products, which aren't typically available through traditional print-on-demand services. Last fall, they informed artists about their focus on developing their drop shipping business. I decided to be patient with the transition, but several issues with their app and services have arisen: - I placed test orders using test credit card numbers and clearly fake data. Their automated system processed these without any checks, resulting in an $800 charge to cover what was obviously a test order. This raises serious concerns about their ability prevent actual fraudulent orders. - An app update caused all variants for over 100 products I imported into Shopify to display the same price. This issue has persisted for over two weeks without resolution. - Another update corrupted all product images for their lampshade products, making them impossible to list for sale. - Despite the information on their website, shipping costs are exorbitant. I factored in a maximum shipping price of $35.95 for a large item based on the information provided by their site, only to be hit with an additional $360 "bulky" shipping fee when fulfilling an order via Etsy. Customer service was apologetic but ultimately unhelpful, leaving me with a significant loss and a canceled order, affecting my standing on Etsy. These issues have severely impacted my business, resulting in over four months of lost time creating products, transferring them to Shopify, and manually addressing numerous bugs. I no longer feel confident in continuing with Contrado and will seek a new production partner. Proceed with caution.

Ordered a leather handbag, expected something decent, and they overdelivered. I paid almost $200 for the bag, amazing to say, the quality is on par with genuine louis vuitton, valentino, chanel; the craftsmanship is impeccable. The stitching, leather quality, hardware is to die for. Anyone saying it is "expensive" should see what luxury handbags cost before they complain it's "expensive". One of the best PODs I've ever used. And no, the mockups aren't bad. I wish this company offered down jackets (heavy winter jackets). I love jackets and I believe this company would do an amazing job with those. My ONLY criticism is they should offer clothing mockups without models in the photos. I cannot sell the photos with models, as it does not fit my brand. Besides that, I promise you the shipping time and product is beyond my expectations. The bag I got is the best I own, I own genuine Italian leather, yet they knock them out of the park. I'm obsessed with the bag.

Hallo liebe Contrado team, ich habe schon ein Paar Produkte als Muster bestellt und das Qualität finde ich wirklich hervorragend (bisschen zu teuer) so ist schwierig zum verkaufen. Habt ihr nicht gedacht vielleicht auch noch echt leder Sneakers zum anbieten? Aber sonst ich bin sehr zufrieden, die Lieferung ist mega schnell! Happy Weekend!

I've been using Contrado for a couple of months now 6+. I've not had any issues the products are great, I haven't had any miss prints, their mockup software may be lacking but with sample orders you can easily do your own media. All in all my customers have loved their products. Defiantly recommend especially if you're trying to do higher quality items.

Fast shipping. but I order a pair of glasses just to see the quality. good quality but come with errors not a good job. plus I send a email and never got a reply and been like two weeks. so not a good customer service.

I was excited to try Contrado as they have a good range of clothing products to design from. However, the generated images for clothes just look so obviously fake and pre-rendered. That is off putting to me and I'm sure it would be for others too. Compared to services like Printful and Printify, if you design an item of clothing at least they render it onto a real model, giving you a sense of what it would look like. If Contrado were to introduce better mock up images I would definitely revisit - please make it happen as I would love to try it. One other thing is that their online design system feels quite sluggish and slow compared to the two previous services I mentioned.

WAY WAY WAY over priced, poor customer service. Highly recommend that if you're looking for POD services you look else!

We are actually not overpriced - unless you are looking for fast fashion items which won't last for a long time and contribute to the ecological issues we are all painfully aware of nowadays. I wrote what follows for another similar feedback but I think it applies in this case too: we produce high-end products you can add to your product range and your online Boutique. Please note that all our products are not only printed all over on the fabrics first (either via pigment or sublimation or reactive which you might know is both a lengthy and expensive process) and they are also hand-made within our own factory. We do not subcontact. At all. We work with actual artisans in love with what they do and deserve that recognition. We also support all costs ourselves as well. Looking at the clothing range on your website, I could only find items with small prints on little squares or circles on your products. This is not what we do and we made it clear on our Shopify app listing as well. All our items are hand-made, with extra options as far as your own printed colour brand logo on a label printed individually and stitched onto your product. All printed on demand which in itself is costly. I can see you had the app for 28 days but I think that to know us and make an actual objective judgment, I would strongly suggest to purchase some sample products first, and speak with us. Once you try us and stick with us, you won't go back (though I agree we can all improve). As i mentioned to the other person, I would love for you to reach out to me directly gwenn[at]contrado.com. Please do. We might get somewhere, we might get nowhere but at least I hope I can make you see why our prices are what they are and make you want to actually start sampling with us. And propose a different offering to your customers as well. Because we do actual Quality that is meant to last. And this is both ethical and sustainable. An example: why don't you offer our amazing recyclable tshirts for example https://www.contrado.com/recycling. Though we obviously have a lot more hand-made products like our leather bags, or real silk dresses etc. I do not know your customer base enough but I am happy to hear you out and see what we can do to work together if you give us a chance. $35 for a kitchen towel... thats not even a good retail price.. what do you expect ,me to sell these for. REALLY THOUGH. I own a screen printing shop but wanted a POD for some random items, but I can buy kitchen towels from $.50 to $3 and put a $1 print on it my self, and retail it for $9.99 like the price is for most kitchen or tea towel, STOP BEING SO GREEDY PLEASE

It is great though that you want to try other printing methods (vs screen printing which might not last forever and only allows you to print on little squares or circles on your products). Even tea towels are hand-made, with extra options available with several additionnal wavy colour edges we stitch. And did I mention your own printed brand logo on a label, and that goes without saying we offer an actual amazing 228gsm cotton linen printed on demand (which in itself is costly). I think that to know us, it takes more than just spending 23 minutes installing our app and then making a judgment without actually speaking with us or purchasing some sample products first. Once you try us and stick with us, you won't go back. Are we perfect? No, nobody is though we keep working at improving everywhere we can. Communication between the app and Shopify is not good in my experience. Created a wallpaper collection and all the pricing, sizes and product quality is mixed up. Very frustrated and disappointed in the ease and clarity of use. Wish this would be a more straight forward process.

I was so nervous about it, but their customer service rep, Deepa, definitely eased my mind and reassured me that their team would handle the situation promptly. And of course, they did just that. I was looking for a print on demand provider that offered a more varied selection of products to work with. When I found Contrado it was ideal for most of what I wanted to create. As well as the product selection their design app was well designed and easy to use. When I did run into a few things that I needed help with their support staff was excellent as well which was refreshing. I would definitely recommend those wanting to create products consider Contrado ... you'll be pleasantly surprised! Ira Zoot -iZoot.com

Contrado is LEGENDARY!!! I've been building and curating my ideas with this company for almost two years. The products always exceed my expectations, and any fault thus far has been by my own error. Hello Contrado Team, I have been working on my Contrado store with Bhavna for several weeks. Being new to the app there was much for me to learn about how to best utilize the tools available on the Contrado app. If it were not for the knowledge, support and attentiveness of Bhavna my store, and the products in it would have taken forever to create, she saved me a lot of headache and helped speed up my process. Any time I had a question or an issue Bhavna was there to assist me, she has never missed a beat and has been of great importance to me during this process! She is a wonderful asset to your team, give her a raise and a promotion, I am sure she has worked hard for it. Thank you Bhavna, you are brilliant!!!

UPDATE: My experience with the app and customer support has been very good overall. However, I had a strange issue with a pair of shoes that I ordered. The size of the shoe was marked as 39 but was very tight on a person who is normally a 38. The size chart indicated a foot size in cm which was incorrect. Contrado did not accept this. So I now have a pair of Summer shoes that doesn’t fit my model (I was planning to photograph them in situ). Rather disappointed. But as I mentioned overall Contrado offer a lot of support for app users. I have many years of experience using content management systems and this is a very good quality system. Product description text is automatically spell and grammar checked. Image quality is auto-checked as well. The printed product is stunning. I ordered a test mug. The colours were beautiful - really deep, almost like wet ink (not obviously not wet!!). Fabric is amazing as well. I ordered a pattern of beige tones on silk and it looked like gold : ) An apron with an enlarged image came out really well too - and you get an image quality warning if you enlarge too much. Some features take a while to find - for example you can set a limit on options for the customer - your design may work best on a small mug and not on a large mug and you can control this. Support is very good. TIP - check the FAQs (which are comprehensive) and if those don't cover your question, use the live chat icon which can be found on the homepage.

In my experience, the Contrado team is helpful, patient, and truly seeking to cater for your needs, ensuring the best results for your product. The team are prompt, concise and efficient in dealing with time schedules and workload. Team spirit is definitely apparent as is adding all the colourful design finishes. Catalog seems very expensive compared to other choices. There do seem to be a few unique items, but most items can be found elsewhere for considerably less.
Thank you for your review, and for mentioning our unique product selection. I hope some will tempt you enough to offer them to your customers. A few thoughts: Summer is coming, why not introduce fully personalisable party & ceramic plates or even water & beer glasses? Try offering our 100% natural silk cushions with braid trims. Our AOP natural cotton or recyclable tshirts ( real Circular Fashion!) are worth a second look. Bomber Jackets , 100% silver jewellery possibly (not plated!), our leather Bags collection is out of this world too. You do raise a very good point regarding products you could easily source elsewhere. After numerous products comparison with most POD competitors on Shopify and others, the simple answer is that our level of details and our quality cannot be replicated. Take a simple drawstring bag. They all look alike. Looking closely though, our fabric is more hard-wearing and will last longer. Still it remains softer to the touch than our competitors'. We stitch additional inner lining at no extra cost (none elsewhere). We use additional metal eyelets which help with pulling the cord in and out. Our stitching is more even and our fabric doesn't break under the needle offering a much better finish. 100% of products are reviewed by the quality control team (vs 0-10% max elsewhere), this allows us to offer an outstanding quality (and even offer a second almost perfect one to customers sometimes) If you apply the above process to our whole product range, this hopefully helps you understand us a bit more. * Update to their response. As you can see this is what you will deal with from them. Denying fault and lying about their quality. Please check their reviews on Facebook. I wish I had previously to attempting to work with them. You can find my review there that allows for attachments of pictures that shows the quality of what they sent me AND a screenshot from a picture on their own website of their product photo with major tarnish on it. They did reach out to me 3x pre their response and all times denying the quality of the product and only to offer me a discount for a future order to change my review. If you're dropshipping do you want your customers to experience this especially at the prices you will need to charge to make a profit? Do you want to lose money because they won't admit fault and won't replace or reimburse? Also so many of these reviews on here use the same verbiage which leads me to question their authenticity. These are NOT high quality products and their customer service is the lowest of the low. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE and potential degrade of your brand and company due to them. I was so excited about this company when I first came across them but their quality of products is not the same across the board. Especially for the pricing and their customer service is the worst I have ever came across. Here’s what happened. I ordered a sample wallet. Leather great. Took it out of the bag to photographed for marketing. Put it back in the bag and noticed dings on the crappy hardware AND MAJOR tarnish on the zipper. So I reached out asking if they had better materials for their hardware to match the quality of the leather. Their response…. We only offer the highest quality products… we checked with our team and we quality check everything before it goes out. We can offer you a 20% off discount. First of all you didn’t quality check because this is what I received. Second, I sent you pictures of it and the order number less than a week old. So only the highest quality materials are meant to tarnish, rust and be so soft they ding in a week and with one use ( not even use….. Just taken out of the bag and photographed)… ? Not even Claire’s jewelry does that. THEN if you look at their OWN PRODUCT DEMO PHOTOS on their OWN website and zoom in multiple pictures on their OWN website featuring their OWN products have tarnish on the hardware! I mean come on. But they won’t even own up to it and blame it on me. I loved their pillows but I don’t trust their quality checking process obviously and would have to order each one in to quality check myself, then ship out AND then if I had an issue have the blame put on me ( the client ) and lose money because they don’t even offer to replace… only a 20% discount. I care deeply about the quality of products I offer and customer service with my business and it seems if I worked with them this would go down hill fast. NOT A LUXURY company at all. Stay FAR AWAY if you care about your own customers experience. Please read Facebook reviews too. I really wish I had before waisting tons of hours creating work to help created by them. Same complaints about product quality and them not taking ownership :/
