We just love this app, and even more than that we love the amazing customer service that backs it up. Bold's dedicated staff will happily work with you to modify or customise code for you. And they'll stick with you until any issues are resolved - no matter how complex they are! In fact if you are under the pump and forget to continue with a ticket you've opened with them, Bold will touch base to see how you've gone with it. So they really want you to succeed! Full marks from us, thanks Bold.

I have used this app for a few years now to cover our wholesalers so they can log in and order online. It has worked great with no glitches and is easy to use. Definitely recommend!

This app is wonderful. For wholesale, each of our clients gets a specific discount per product or manufacturer and this app lets us tag each client we have with a specific tag and set discounts across the board, which can be different for all clients or the same! LOVE IT and SO worth the money! Great job, Bold team!!!

We've worked with this app with several of our clients and it works wonders. It's very flexible and easy to use to be able to create price levels for different products. We have used this app for a few years and rely on it heavily to sell the same products to different groups of people. When it works, it works great. But there have been more and more hangups and code changes that throw everything off... often times for much longer than we'd like. The rock solid faith we used to have in "set it and forget it" is wavering, and now it's more like "cross your fingers everything works" on our really important days. More attentions should be paid to supporting subscription products like this, and informing support staff of EXACTLY what is going on. Communication via support tickets is often met with, "let me put you in touch with an App Specialist and they'll get back to you when they have more info." That's not what I want to hear after I send an email to 20,000 people at midnight and the products on my website are randomly showing any one of five different retail prices.

Great app with an excellent support team. We've been using it since 2015 to differentiate between our regular customers and our wine club customers and then offer wine club customers automatic discounts on wines when they log into their profiles, as well as exclusive products and/or offers which are only revealed and made shoppable to Wine Club customers on login. We've had multiple situations where we needed to reach out to the support team to advise and/or assist us on customisations, custom/manual code installs or integrations with other apps, and each time the support team have been very responsive and helpful. Most recently (March 2023), we've had excellent support from Chandan. There are definitely some drawbacks for us to the app itself, as it tends to conflict with other apps we'd like to use. Our latest challenge is that we can only work with version 1 of the app due to our specific requirements - we want to be able to use discount codes in addition to group/membership pricing, which is not possible with V2 and V3 of the Custom Pricing app. Unfortunately, V1 does not integrate with Shopify 2.0 themes, so we cannot upgrade our current theme to a newer version at this stage. It would also be great to have longer support 'office' hours to cater for all time zones. We are based in South Africa (CAT) and the Bold Support team is on CST (8-hour difference) so we only have limited overlapping work hours, which become problematic when custom work results in website downtime as it extends it unnecessarily, purely because the Bold team only work 9-5 in their time zone. Nonetheless, the app works well for our current set up and the support team is great.

Extremely complicated and I could not get it to do what I needed it to do. It probably wouldn't be so complicated if they had useful support articles, or an explanation somewhere of how the app works! The support articles seem to be out of date, at least for the interface I was looking at. What is a CSP? Why does NOTHING happen when I create a price group? How does install really work? I'm a technical person, but I wrangled with this app for way longer than I expected to. Big waste of time for me. But it might be great for some people who can get it working.

11/5/2018 Update: I received a call from Harry, Lead at Bold Commerce, on 11/30/2018. He explained that the support team member who worked on the installation of the app on my site's theme had a day off -- so it was unfortunate that they had missed my emails after the installation. Harry apologized profusely, was very supportive and truly committed to setting things right--no matter what resources it would take. We had discussed, in length, several options on the best resolution options. And at the end of the day, the issue was resolved. Harry also personally reassured me that they will take all lessons-learned from the whole experience in making the app better! (So I'm glad that things took a positive turn after all! :) Harry was a great listener, the kind of leader that I can trust, and I do believe that their company is fortunate to have his integrity and dedication to their customers. Sincerely, Jocelyn ------------------------------------------- 10/2018 Initial Review: The install and customization by this app has severely impacted my site (it made it crash and made my navigation menu fail) And after following up with your support team, I haven't heard back any response. Both shopify support and theme support have isolated the problem caused by Bold App's customization. Here is their latest response: The issue appears to be caused by the Bold app code which has been installed on your store, affecting both your product and collection pages. It appears to be most severe (the pages which completely fail to load) on products which have very large numbers of variants... I have confirmed this doesn't happen in our theme as provided on your store. If you've recently had a developer working on your store, I'd recommend speaking with them concerning the changes, otherwise if you reach out to Bold they will hopefully be able to advise further: https://apps.shopify.com/partners/shappify I have removed the Bold app from my site, and hoping that will fix the issue (I'm still reaching out to the theme and shopify suppor teams for further assistance to resolve my issue as we speak) To Bold app support: Please be very careful when you are customizing code on behalf of your customers. And also you really need to perform end-to-end tests to prevent this from happening for your customers. It's a big headache and costly to repair. Thank you for listening.

This app allowed me to designate pricing tiers in a snap! Support was the best! Can't thank everyone enough for making this process a breeze! It was easy to set up, and even easier to change once it was live and running. Extremely helpful.

We use this product to give our customers discounts on our product, and it has been great with handling our method of doing discounts. When we ran into some issues with coding things for our site, Cody was quick to help us out!

Could never get this to work and will discontinue the app. Have been paying for months thinking I would turn it on at some point, but have decided it is not worth the effort. Will just continue to build multiple products for retail and wholesale. Service started out at a 5 star and dropped to 2 stars since it would take days to get a response to attempted fix, to another few days to attempt to fix what the first attempt broke. Never did get it right. What a waste.

I have received superb support. Installation was done in time. And, their reps were always there to ask my qns. I did have alot of questions. Going forward, I have fallen in love with their apps. Now, all that I request of them is to somehow allow each BOLD app to work inline with another BOLD app. For instance, they have customer pricing (offer higher discount to your best customers). Then, they have tier prices (buy more, save more). These 2 are working hand in hand. GREAT! But, I am trying to figure out how Bundled Product will go along with these app. At the moment, it seems to be somewhat limited. Imagine the power if we could create bundles with an additional filter for customer groups. It will offer endless possibilities to create bundles for each group. All in all, I hope all your apps are somehow interconnected and would work seamlessly together in a perfect synchronization. And, that will be even better for us and your business. :)
