Will randomly loose your files (they literally disappear), or they will forget to update the SSL certificate, or all the URLs will expire... Be ready for some random issues and always keep a backup of your files.

This app is good and does mostly what we need. The unfortunate part is that Shopify recommends the New Customer Accounts type. However, their own app is not built to use the New Customers Accounts type.

When it works, it is amazing but I've been receiving emails from customers saying they never received an email with their downloads... they can't find it in their spam either.

Great app but would be better if it included the DATE of the last file uploaded. We update our downloads but because we have three sites we are uploading to, it'd be helpful to double check which is the most recent version of the file. Other than that - pretty much the app is working well, barring human error (like forgetting to upload the file in the first instance!!!).

Please release an update fixing the issues asap, I've been using this app for year with great results but it's not working as it used to anymore! Any info on this matter would be grately appreciated.

The app stopped working completely after 6 years of having it on my store. I have very unhappy customers as a result.

it doesn’t really load you have to keep opening it for it work. i did it ten times before i let me add the digital items

In the Shopify Digital Downloads app, when viewing an individual digital product, it would be extremely helpful to be able to click "Previous" and "Next". This functionality is already built into the main Products section of the UI. I cannot express how much it would help me to have this implemented in a similar location of the Digital Downloads app. It would cut the time and effort required for me to upload new digital files by 75% or more. I have hundreds of digital products that I have to update each time there is a revision, and this is an extremely laborious process with the current app dashboard.

When we release an update, only a small proportion of customers are receiving an email notification and the updated files aren’t being displayed within their account.

It works great. My customers can easily download the files via mail. However, that's the one part I don't like. I want to have a direct download button within the confirmation page, so customers can download it right away instead of having to go to their mail.

I loved this app. But it stopped working randomly one day last week and none of my customers were getting links to their downloads.

Like many others, this app was working fine then randomly stopped working. We need to move to something else.

I LOVED this app until it stopped working in Dec 2024. I can not upload my digitals to my products. It was sooo easy to use. Much easier than the other digital download products available. I wish you all would fix the app. Would make my day and business so much easier.

First time I used it, I muddled my way through, 2nd time was difficult, third time, even harder, I can't get the order to go over to the digital download side, so have manually sent a link to download it Have asked for support, but find support quite slow, they seem to spend more time writing niceities, than just helping. I wouldn't recommend, hopefully there is a better option out there, as this is frustrating. I have an urgent order and I can't get it to work. Was then told that the app developers are working on "crucial bugs" and to try sky pilot or another paid app instead, if shopify no longer care about keeping their apps working. remove them so their customers don't use them and then look like idiots to their customers when it doesn't work.

Very easy to install and implement. I did it in under 5 minutes for my eBook. Did a test purchase and the email was automatically sent to me with the correct download link. No complaints so far -- I guess they fixed the update bug by now. Thank you Shopify!

this app was working fine then randomly stopped working. I can't get in touch with anyone and support tells me "it's been escalated" but it's been 5 days so far and still nothing. All of this is currently happening on black Friday weekend and NONE of my orders are fulfilled. I need to reach out to each customer individually to manually send them what they purchased. I can see that the app "requires an update by app developer" but support was not able to find that (I found it myself) and as of day 5 this is STILL not fixed.
