DOES NOT WORK ON MOBILE - have to direct customers to download from a computer constantly. Make this work on mobile and it would be great, make it possible to attach multiple files and it would be fantastic.

Review / Stars based on my opinion and the store I was trying to create for content creators. It's alright, I do videography, photography and capture my own audio files. This app does not support and doesn't show much support for audio/ambient/foley artists and videographers. The reason I say that is, one it does not support .wav files as standard and .mov files or prores files. So those looking to maybe use this platform (Shopify) and this app (Digital Downloads) as a native solution to provide content or assets in uncompressed assets you need to look somewhere else. Unless you're ok with compressing your files in the form of zipping. But if you want to provide the utmost quality, compressing files is not a solution. Sadly Shopify is not a platform for creators in this sense. I'm so sad :(

You can only upload 1 digital file. Most of my clients can not download the attached file. I have to switch to another app.

I have a lot of complaints about exceeded downloads that were not actually downloaded, I have issues with files somehow disappearing after being uploaded successfully without notification, I have issues of orders not being completely fulfilled causing me to manually fulfill them. Currently, they are trying to help find out the issue, I will give it at least 3 stars right now as they are trying to find the issues and the app is not totally a waste of space. But once they get MAJOR issues of sending fixed I think it would easily be a 5 star app if it stays with consistency.

I'm pretty new on shopify, trying to sell some digital products, and I've been trying to understand why I can't display the link on the check out page and after spending hours on the issue I realized that there is something wrong with the app. It simply does not provide the digital download link at checkout. Needs to be fixed.

I have mixed feelings with this app. It's great that it's free and it does the job (recommended for e-books) you can set download limit to discourage illegal forwarding, BUT the limit what causes the trouble. I get customer complaints every day that the download button didn't work and because they tried clicking on it many a few times, they exceeded the limit. They didn't actually download the file but the app thinks they did. This might be a device issue on their end but it's definitely something the developers should look into. Setting the limit to unlimited still causes them negative customer experience because after they pay for a product, they get a download button that either works or not. If this issue gets fixed, I'll give 5 stars immediately!

For my clients that download on desktop, this app works great. But for clietns that download my contents on their mobile, this is not working... Does anyone have better solution for digital downloads?

God I hate shopify. First, why do i have log in AGAIN in the same browser that I just logged into my "store". I came to shopify when I was in a bind, now Ive just been lazy. Ive lost 2k a month in sales since coming here. Google doesn't even have me indexed any more!!!! wtf. I was number 1 in my category on google search before I came here..back to current problem. How the .... do I view my digital download files that I uploaded? you would think this would be a normal request, or at least a simple way to access the files so I can see what up there. I am sure it is a simple 1 2 3 click here select that then click there..but I cannot find it. This little addon is working perfectly, but it lost something in it's navigation functionality. it's been...shopified.

PCゲームのDownload販売をするためにこのアプリを導入しました。 Download回数制限など、最低限の機能はついています。 ただ、shopify本体の注文履歴は削除できますが、このアプリ内のorder履歴の削除は出来ません。 アップデートの希望が一つあります。 Downloadのリンクの有効期限を、○○日後まで有効というような設定が欲しいです。

I want to love this app. And for awhile, I did. I've been using it for a few years now. But recently, somehow my digital products are having the "this is a physical product" field mysteriously checked in the admin product pages. I am NOT making this change. It's some glitch. And you know what happens when that field gets checked? The Digital Downloads app deletes your file- without you knowing. Until, that is, your customers complain that that they never received the download link for the product that was blatantly described as an "instant download." To them, it feels like a bait and switch. And I have no doubt that this glitch is affecting my conversion rates, because once a customer goes to checkout, if the file has been deleted by the app, it tells them that their "download" product will be delivered in 6-8 business days! Hello, abandoned carts. I continue to work with support to get this issue resolved. So far, nothing has worked. Am I the only one experiencing this glitch?

great app and seems to work about 70% of the time. usually delivers but sometimes fails to do so. Its also got a little bit of a small file size limit making it hard to use for most digital download videos

This APP automatically fulfills the order even when we set not to do it on shopify checkout settings page. It messes up all of our orders follow up. (After a while we discovered that this is configurable at the app settings, but it forces you to set each variant at a time).

Ok app, but "edit proxy url" settings doesn't work. So you cannot change the default "downloads" url. If you change it, all your digital download links will be broken (not working). Also it uses http as default and there is no way to change it to use https:// And you cannot change the default download button text or text below the button. Two and half stars.

No problems really, I just strongly wish there was an option to attach more than one file per product. Some of my products (digital scrapbooking downloads) can be up to 300MB and customers with bad connections have trouble downloading files that large.

It's very useful, I have had this app since I opened my shop. u t I have a big problem: you can only attach one documents, so whenever I have several for one product (and it happens a lot) I compile it into one rar file. It seemed like the perfect solution, except for people downloading the goods and not being able to open rar files. Anyway we could be sharing several documents for one product?

It's a very great start to a digital delivery service. It is a bit clunky and would be very nice if we could load more than one file to be downloaded. It would cut down on a lot of support time spent describing to people how zip and pdf files work. It would be even better if we could also have this just integrated into the listing instead of having the separate app. All in all, it's pretty cool if you only have one file. Thank you so much for your work. Please keep on improving. Excellent start.

Work great but the notifications email should look more professional and a download link in the user account would be a really nice addition because resending an email because the customer lost his download link is counter productive
