Absolutely brilliant, the new updates are like replacing Zapier and make.com, you can write js and even now do mutations inside app, i mean really good
A Must-Have for Streamlining Daily Operations! The Shopify Flow app is packed with huge features that make daily operations a breeze through powerful automation. When I first started using Shopify, I overlooked the Flow app, assuming it was just for sending automated emails for abandoned checkouts or similar tasks. But as I delved deeper into its capabilities, I realized it's truly a game-changer. It has saved me countless hours by automating workflows I hadn’t even considered initially. This app is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated tools in Shopify’s ecosystem—many users likely don’t realize how much it can do. With a little creativity, you can unlock its full potential and see how much easier it makes managing your store. I highly recommend taking the time to explore everything Shopify Flow offers—you won’t be disappointed!
Hi, thanks for the review. We are really happy that you are getting value out of Flow.
Abandoned checkouts doesn't work, I get the error that the customer is not signed up to marketing.. I don't require my customers to sign up for marketing emails, with no option to just send a simple email, this app is pretty much useless for my store.
Hi, Abandoned Checkout is a Marketing Automation feature and not a Flow feature. That said, you may want to review the documentation for Abandoned Checkout https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/promoting-marketing/create-marketing/marketing-automations/types. If you edit the email, you do have the option to send it to all customers, not just those subscribed to marketing.
This flow app works great. If you every think it does not then you need to retrace the flow and see what the issue is. I set up for hiding out of stock items for a certain supplier and noticed it was not acting as expected and the documentation told me where the condition became false. Using this tool I realized it was because I had not tagged those products with the suppliers identity yet. A real duh moment. For current users and new users, keep this in mind because this app is great and works as expected.
Update: I will try resetting the notification and hope this resolves the issue. Thank you!
Hi thanks for the review. If Flow cancelled the order, Flow has no control over that email. You can edit the Cancel order email template in the Admin settings, so I'd guess that someone in your shop did that and messed it up. If you can't find the issue, I'd recommend contacting Shopify support. Also, in the future, if you have a Flow question, try over on the community instead of via a review. This doesn't allow a back and forth. https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-flow-app/bd-p/flow
Difficult to manage, unclear information whether the flows works or not, no saved notifications what flows have been sent out or used.
When it works, it can be beneficial but it doesn't work often, and the support for this app is useless. When you speak with Shopify support, no one seems to know or understand the app. I built a flow that should hold fulfillment orders when a product type it added to an order. Sometimes the flow works, and sometimes it says "Hold fulfillment order Succeeded" but it didn't succeed when you look at the actual order. And no one knows how to help. It's sad because it could be an excellent app!
Hi, thanks for your review. We are sorry about your frustration with Shopify support. We recommend always trying to ask first on Flow's community forums: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-flow-app/bd-p/flow. For holds, if Flow says that it held fulfillment, it did. But what can happen is that other apps or workflows can release that hold just as quickly. If you need more detail, consider trying to post on the community.
Please add the functionality "Include/Exclude in Markets" for products! :))
Hi thanks for the review! We would like to hear more about how you want to use markets + Flow. If you could post over on the community with your goal that would great. https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-flow-app/bd-p/flow
日本語対応していない為使いづらさはありますが、柔軟なマーケティングオートメーションを作成することができ素晴らしいアプリです。 今後もさらなるトリガーやアクションの追加を期待しています。
For some things this works great! For others I am scratching my head as to why it won't. For example, I can take products by vender and add them to a manual collection for use in the tax exclusion zones since for some reason an automatic collection isn't allowed. Works great. But when I want to send an email to a customer that is imported with the tag eBay I am having trouble finding an option to just send a simple email out with a basic text. I have tried using Mail as well but it wants a template and then it adds it to a marketing list but that is not what I want to do. Just a simple email. The last issue is that I have other people adding products and I only want certain vendors products to be available in say Canada. There are options to hide products from channels for example, but nothing to remove the product from a market such as Canada. So you have to remember to select this every time every product any employee adds or it defaults to add it to the Canada market. Very frustrating. Maybe with a few updates this flow app could be really useful. But it is just missing a few variables here and there and functions to be as useful as I was expecting. Seeing as how most of my flows are fixing issues that Shopify has created such as not allowing me to use an auto collection for tax exclusions, I have to use this app. Since they default to add new products to all markets, I need to use a flow to fix it. So really it is annoying that I cannot do what I want to have done.
Nice for simple things, but missing many really useful Triggers and Webhook like Product type or template
Hi, thanks for trying out Flow. It's unclear what kind of trigger you would want for "product type" or "template". If you mean that you want to update those things, Flow can do that using the Send Admin API request action calling "productUpdate".
It is great that this is free and I hoped to get more automated. I set up low on stock we with a level below 20. I get bombarded everyday with advice on low stock for every variant. Stock is low only 3952 in stock Crazy so have to find another as not stable. Also out of stock for archived products
Hi, sorry you are having trouble. Flow can handle low stock notifications so you clearly have a condition that isn't working as you expect. I recommend checking out templates and we have quite a few for low stock notifications. If you can't figure it out, contact support or the Flow team via the Shopify community here: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-flow-app/bd-p/flow and we get help you identify the problem.
I want to use this app to send an invoice automatically after purchase with manual payment but I cannot find "payment method ID" for manual payment. Please add some features about automatic invoice delivery.
Hi, sending order invoices requires that your customer has payment terms. When that is true, you can use the action. See Flow's docs here and the note right at the top: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/shopify-flow/reference/actions/send-order-invoice. Note that payment terms is a B2B feature available to Shopify Plus.
The intuitive low-code editor makes it easy to build unique automations tailored to my specific needs. Whether it’s inventory management, fraud prevention, or order fulfillment, Flow has me covered.
One of the extremely beneficial apps that allow us to automate a huge part of our store AND its being regularly developed and enhanced!
Hi, thanks for the review. We really appreciate it!
Great application. I'm looking forward to being able to use graphql mutations in inputs in the run-code action
