Giftship: Gift Options & More

Be warned: can't use ShopPay if you use this app. If you use this app and enable ShopPay, emails/notifications to customers do not work correctly -- customers get ShopPay notification that their orders have been cancelled (even though neither they nor we have cancelled their order). It's not true that this app is "fully compatible with ShopPay." We've contacted GiftShip support about this cancellation notification issue, and their response was "This is not something we are able to control, as the Shop App acts independently." We had to turn off ShopPay as a payment method on our store...which greatly impacts our business as we received over 50% of our orders via ShopPay...and GiftShip knows about this issue but has no plan or ETA to fix it.

We've used this product for a couple years for the multi-address ship option and it's been great! We then started using the order printer, simple transition. Recently, we added the Box Builder and it's also working very well. Support has been amazing as we fumbled our way through adding these things ourselves.

The app is fantastic, but the team behind it is even better! The team at Gist are hands down one of the BEST teams I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Our initial GiftShip implementation faced a couple of hiccups due entirely to how our Shopify instance was configured (with third-party apps) and a lack of understanding regarding the features we required. As our rollout was time sensitive and our deadline fast approaching, I reached out to Jayson, Tim, Zac as well as the other amazing Gist team members for any advice and/or support they could offer. Not only were my queries answered promptly, but also with care and compassion. In less than 48 hours I must have sent a dozen or more emails about several separate technical issues, yet each and every time the response was friendly, pleasant and helpful. We love this app for shipping to multiple shipping addresses in the same order, but there are so many other useful features! And the customer service is always super helpful with any questions or requests!

This app is extremely user friendly and the support team is amazing!

If you just need an app that will allow you to send shipments to another address this app will work for you. However, if you care about the analytics of your website DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP. Not only will this app inflate your order numbers (each GiftShip order counts as 2 orders) but it will also miscalculate your financial analytics. This does not mean you won't get paid what you are owed, it means that you will not be able to distinguish what you actually MADE through GiftShip. I have spent countless hours trying to figure out financial analytics including hours on support calls with BOTH Shopify and Gist and it was determined that the API between Gist and Shopify is faulty and Gist was unable to figure out how to send appropriate data to Shopify for store owners to get accurate meaningful analytics.
