Klaviyo is full of bugs. For instance, their default email preferences update does not display the current selections of the user. When I reported this to customer support, they insisted that this was not a bug at all but rather an enhancement request. Insane! I then discovered on my own that Klaviyo allows you to create your own email preferences page, but as they explicitly say, they offer no support for it, you are on your own. After struggling on my own I got it working, only to then realize that this page is only HTTP and insecure. So I spent a day figuring out some clever workarounds to solve this but then another bug has now crashed this feature completely. I am stuck waiting until tomorrow when customer support chat is available again to fix this. Email support autoreply tells me to expect to wait 48 hours. This is just one of at least half a dozen bugs I've encountered, each of which cost me days of work to find workarounds on my own. Customer support chat can go four days in a row without being available due to maintenance overlapping with the weekend. FOUR DAYS!!! When customer support chat is down for maintenance, there is no prior warning or current alert when you try to use it. It is just greyed out for no apparent reason. When this first happened to me, I wasted an hour trying to figure that out before giving up and switching to email support. The only reason I don't totally regret picking Klaviyo is I suppose other platforms could be worse or have their own set of issues. If you like frustration, you will love Klaviyo. UPDATE: I am leaving at 2 stars because when Klaviyo works, it does the trick. But I am back to spending days getting their preferences pages working. After 18 months, it spontaneously broke and I am back to this nightmare. Klaviyo support has given up solving their bug and has asked me to use Cloudflare community postings for help in solving this.

I come from Mailchimp and the level of integration you receive from Klaviyo compared to Mailchimp when working with Shopify is way better.

I use Klaviyo for email, but it would be great to get to use the SMS instead of having to have another app for it, but overall, I like it and I like that customization of audiences and list, etc. I like the built-in flows as well. Makes my job easier.

I have been selling online for six years and only recently added Klaviyo and after the first email campaign my sales have increased dramatically in one day after sending.

Great app! My only complaint is the interface is looking a tad dated and jenky now. Full of wonderful functionality, though! The best app for emails and we are very happy! ^_^ X

SUPER SIMPLE. NO COMPLAINTS. I would however like to know how to have email subscribers from privy automatically added into my Klayvio list as opposed to having to manually add.

I have worked with multiple ESPs (email service providers) over the years and can tell you that Klaviyo is #1 at what they do--especially for their general audience (DTC/eComm). I will say, I've noticed reviews comparing other tools that offer the "same functionality" but there is a probable chance that these individuals are lacking a robust email marketing strategy to truly back those claims. You might be inclined to start with a very simple/handles-the-basics-type tool that offers free or competitive monthly costs. It's not worth it. Having to migrate and reframe your processes after the fact is not with it. I can tell you first hand that if you are ever planning to have or currently have the need for HIGHLY personalized automations, detailed segmenting, transactional emails, SEAMLESS integrations with a majority of your tech stack (returns, reviews, outside forms/popups, customer service tools like gorgias, etc.) then Klaviyo is far more established and advanced than a majority of their competitors. This product is easy to use (great for if you're new to email marketing) and simple to navigate when looking for something specific, but also robust enough to handle large lists/segmentations, persistent strategies, and detailed segmentation/personalization. Like any product, there is always room for improvement. For example, I wish I could split flows by if someone replied to an email (generally would love a reply tracking feature), but everything their tool is capable of FAR outweighs what they lack in these small, specific use cases. With Klaviyo, I feel confident that my emails will deliver, that they will deliver with the design I intended, maintain my credibility, and that I will be able to review the data to my needs in order to improve performance over time. I love the custom fields, simple API functionality, and being able to market to my customers authentically. I highly recommend it to anyone using Shopify and looking for the best, affordable ESP.

We have been using Klaviyo for about 3 years now and it's a great program. Pricing can be adjusted easily on how many emails you send a month and it's easy to build emails and analyze the stats after. If your account is big enough, they provide a customer success rep that will analyze your account and offer helpful suggestions.

Klaviyo is a great combination of features that make segmentation, email building, automation creation, and customer management all user-friendly, intuitive and convenient. I wish there were more capabilities for analyzing segments and campaigns post-send, but their analytics are more advanced and accessible than the other messaging softwares I use in for my job.
