great app, just what we need. But maybe more importantly the customer service provided by Tristan was outstanding. He just took the initiative to fix something, it wasn't a bunch of back and forth which usually happens with shopify apps.
This app is incredible, but not as incredible as the company that runs it! Their level of customer and support service is incredible. Thank you Lightward!

We had a complicated situation where we needed different membership level logins so that we could display different pricing structures. Using Locksmith solved the problem seamlessly. Their helpdesk has always been personal and top notch.

Easily recommend this app over the similar ones i tried before. This app thought about everything, every time i needed a particular lock system, Tristan from the support team helped me achive it.
I don't typically write reviews, but this app deserves it! This app is exactly what I was looking for to separate wholesale from retail. Originally, I thought setting up a wholesale channel on Shopify would be easy - and it probably is, if you want to pay the $2000+ a month for Shopify Plus. At the price point for this app, it cannot be beat! I needed to set up a separate area of my site that was only visible and accessible to approved customers using customer tags. Installation of the app and setting up the initial locks was super simple. I had a specific vision for how I wanted the wholesale channel of my site to be set up, including hiding checkout buttons and adding minimum order total requirements in order to checkout. This did require a little more coding that I am not exactly familiar with, but seemed to be no problem at all after reaching out to support! Tristan was quick to respond and install the additional coding that was needed to bring my vision to life! Tristan understood exactly what I was trying to accomplish and even suggested to add additional coding to ensure there were no loopholes that would allow wholesale customers to checkout without reaching the minimums. The customer service from this app was top notch! If you're looking to set up a wholesale channel on your site, I definitely recommend this app!

Super easy to use and works very well. Perfect for locking access to our online wholesale store. We only allow access to users with a specific tag.

Doesn't work Tried to create a lock on a page with a passcode - a very simple setup. Nothing. Didn't work. Not a good UX.
Hello! I'm sorry you encountered an issue when trying out the passcode key. I saw your email, and replied, about 30 minutes after it came in (20 minutes after this review), but by that time Locksmith had been removed. A lock not working is exceedingly rare, and is generally something which can be fixed. That's why we have our 15 day trial period: We want to make sure you have time to test things and work out any potential conflicts in the theme, or with other apps, before you have to pay for Locksmith. It's also important to note that passcode keys will remember you in the browser when you enter the code, and it may seem like they aren't locked at all. If that seems like it might be the issue, using a new private browsing session will show you what a new visitors sees. I can't diagnose what happened at the moment, since Locksmith has been removed from your store. But, feel free to reach out if you'd like to try again. Amazing support and amazing app. we use this app to hide products out of stock in different countries. We also use this for private launches. The app works very well and the support gives you all the help you need.
I added locksmith to a Shopify store, and I want to lock some products with prices and others with no fees showing. So I sssent a message to customer support, and Ken and Tristan helped me with everything. They are amazing. Find solutions to what i need and add to my store. Very good app if you need to lock products or services to your store. Highly recommended
We have been using both Mechanic and Locksmith since 2020 and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Both of these apps play vital roles in our operations. Locksmith does what it is designed to do. Easy to setup on the backend and the frontend updates smoothly. The pricing philosophy is one of the best ever. The team truly looks at your usage and gives you a fair price point that you both agree with. Support is best in class, hands down. Isaac and the team deserve all the 5 stars. Locksmith is exactly what my store was looking for. I'm able to hide my prices and lock checkout settings until my customers log in. Tristen and his support team were great at responding to my questions and even helped add in the code necessary. Would recommend this app!
Does exactly what it says and the customer service is top notch. If you need to protect your shop this is the best app!
This app has caused me more bother than good. I would not recommend downloading locksmith! After downloading locksmith it has caused my products to be showing out of stock despite them being in stock. This has caused huge loss of sales. It has also stopped many website functions from working. The code behind this app is very unstable and if you are downloading it, it will be at your own risk. I am now seeking to completely get rid of this bugged app from my shopify store. I'm extremely disappointed!
I’m sorry you had to experience this. The issue coming from Locksmith in this case was that the add to cart button, in the featured products area of your home page, was showing as “sold out” until the customer interacted with the variant selector. Your developer removed the Locksmith code from that template, which fixed the problem, but Locksmith automatically added its code again shortly after, and the issue resurfaced. I totally understand your frustration, and while we did mention that Locksmith auto-installs, we should have brought up the ignore list functionality to prevent that from showing up again. Locksmith has an ignore list on the Settings page, which allows you to specify theme files that Locksmith should leave alone during its install process. We did see that your slider navigation was not functioning, but it seems that was a side effect of the product object being “nil” in the featured product area, or perhaps something else in that template. Those are generally unrelated, and we're not sure why that happened, since the app is only working with your products and variants. We’ve been able to duplicate the add to cart button issue on other themes, but not the unresponsive menu. That’s something specific to the theme you’re using, and fixing the add to cart also stopped the navigation menu issue. I’m glad we were able to get this fixed for you, and that everything is working. Again, I’m sorry for the frustrating situation. We’re here to help if anything else comes up. Best, Ken
