We have been using Locksmith for a long time and are pleased with it. Today, I wanted to do something new for my website, but I was stuck on how to execute my idea, so I emailed Locksmith and right away, received the help I needed to complete my vision! Great support!

Avoid this app at all costs. We set it up and unfortunately it did not meet our needs. We disabled the app per their instructions and then deleted it. On our busiest shopping day of the year their app was still holding our collections hostage and I had to pay for a subscription to go in and shut it down. Beyond disappointed.
Hello! I'm very sorry for the hassle you experienced here. I'm not 100% sure how things transpired, but according to our records this store didn't have an active subscription at the time, and the trial period ran out more than 10 days before. Locksmith would have been suspended at that point, and so your keys wouldn't work to open any locks. Locksmith does have an uninstall process to remove its code from your theme, and that can be initiated by disabling the app on the settings page, or by clicking the Remove Locksmith button on the Help page. No subscription is required for these actions, but Locksmith does need to be authorized to complete them. We definitely don't want to cause your store issues in this way, but we do aim to make sure we don't surprise you by opening up all of your locked content in any situation. We want to you know, 100%, that your locked areas are being opened up to the public. That's why the locks stay locked until you disable them. Again, I know that situation wasn't ideal, to say the least, and I'm sorry for the confusion and issue. Looking into your account, I do see that you still have an active subscription to Locksmith. I can't cancel that for you, but you can do that by removing the app from your Apps list. At the time of this writing, you have no locks in place, and so Locksmith has no code in your theme, so it's safe to do so. Forward compatible with things I didn't expect! My company started a relationship with a big B2C marketplace and, to my surprise, Locksmith is able to hide our non-public variants from the marketplace connector app! I am constantly surprised by how awesome Lightward is as a company, and their software is equally impressive. Locksmith is SO easy to use, requires almost no code, and really truly hides everything. I feel great about my product data security, especially after seeing how Locksmith interacts with other Shopify apps. Top notch.

Let me ask a simple question.. you run into an issue during a client implementation, need support and reach out hoping the app developers respond. Well - my response was received within a day - highly detailed, highly accurate, and immediately functional. This is what you can expect from this great company! Hats off

i use this app to provide early access to my vip customers for each launch and i'm loving it! super easy and their customer service has been amazing!

This app is confusing and frustrating. I can't set it up correctly, I've tried several settings and nothing works.

We tried using this app to hide certain items on our website, which it did do, however there were still automated bots that were able to purchase items that were designed to only be purchased by certain people, so it did not work as intended/described.
I hear you – thanks for letting us know. If it helps: because of the way Shopify's Online Store channel is built, it's impossible for any third-party access control app (including Locksmith) to fully block all bot activity. We talk about this in our user agreement, which everyone sees and accepts when they install Locksmith, and which we wrote to make sure we're clear and up front about all this. I understand you were expecting Locksmith to block those bots; given the specifics of how Shopify itself works on this one, the best we as a team can do is to be clear about what Locksmith can and can't help with. Terrific app that exactly achieved what we were looking for our wellness store, and at a more than reasonable price. The Locksmith team was thorough and responsive, helping us to install and configure the app. After several rounds of back and forth we have it up and running and we are beyond excited. We use this app to lock access to exclusive products, and it's great. Their customer support team is awesome as well. We reached out to see if we could add some features to our locks, and Tristan and his support team went above and beyond. They even implemented some features in the back end that helped optimize our experience. Definitely recommend these guys if you want full control over your product ecosystem!

There is no other Shopify app that is as... a) well designed and intuitive b) honest, transparent and extraordinarily well priced c) does what it needs to do without any faff ...as Locksmith

I'm still in the trial period, but Locksmith seems like a great app. I think it will help me figure out a way to give someone access to a hidden part of my Shopify store if they purchase a specific product from my store. I'm really excited because it seems to be exactly what I need.

This app allowed me to bring membership-style functionality to my Shopify store...restricting certain collections and products to "All Access Pass" customers. Ken and the Locksmith Team went above and beyond to answer every question in a timely and helpful fashion, and also helped me troubleshoot various situations until I had my locks working exactly right. The locks are easy to turn on/off and apply to a wide range of situations, and I couldn't recommend this app more for creating member areas!

Locksmith does exactly what I was looking for: password-protect certain parts of our website for our paying supporters. It's simple and straightforward, yet also powerful in terms of the different rules you can set up for each protected page. I respect their company values and am leaving a review because of that. One request I have is to allow for more customization of the password page so we can make it look more like our store's design. Thank you for your great work.

This was one of those apps that does exactly what it say, with a great UI and flawless integration. Used it to allow check out for those who had pre-ordered some products early ahead of launch and it worked flawlessly. Couldn't be happier.

I used Locksmith to help me limit customers from certain countries purchasing certain items. Really impressed how easy this was to do considering how many other confusing methods are out there!

Locksmith support team has been very helpful. As we do not have a VPN, they offered to check all the locks we set up to make sure everything is working properly. They also agreed to extend our free trial so we were able to finish the new site smoothly. thank you
