We've been using this app to set up a custom made clothing item. The whole process has taken weeks a lot of cash invested in 3D models. That makes the whole limitation I'm about the describe even more frustrating. When products are created as variations they are SKU-less. That means if your using an IMS or shipping app to process orders after checkout (one that requires a SKU like many do) you're not going to have much luck. Lesser custom apps often give you options. Either replicate the source SKU for each variant or even add numbers sequentially. We use a few of them successfully already. These small but essential function really show when an app that has considered the backend needs of merchants. Kickflip has a heavy focus on front end UI and that's great since it's key for the product, but the backend is not really suitable for any business of scale. The response from support for this issue was "this is eye opening and we appreciate it. However, unfortunately, it is not possible to do this." Well...thanks. We're currently unsure if, even after our investment we can make this app worth for us logistically. I suspect we'll try it and manually link products to orders in the short term but it's very disappointing when a simple code change to variant generation would have solved this. 5 stars for ambition. 2 for implementation on Shopify. ------ Response to Kickflip's response: We want to be clear this is NOT feedback on variants linked to inventory level. All our SKUs are made to order anyway. This is simply the manner with which new variants created in Shopify by the app have no SKU given to them when they hit the checkout. This is a simple API/App fix (other apps can generate this kind of variants) and not a complex feature we're discussing here. This is the second time your team haven't quite understood the issue we've raised so perhaps we're not being clear enough. However, it seems based on your response that nothing is in the pipeline.

The current limitation comes from the way we manage inventory due to constraints with Shopify’s variant limit and the fact that stocks cannot be shared between different variants. This has led us to handle all inventory management within Kickflip’s admin. We understand that this isn’t ideal for your use case. Kickflip truly sets itself apart from other customizer add-ons for Shopify in its ability to allow custom fields to directly affect product prices, such as for custom logos, text, etc. If your brand/company is looking to create an online store where customization is a key feature and you want to be able to adjust a product's price based on however many additional features a customer wants for it, Kickflip is the absolute best option as it currently stands.

Kickflip was the exact customization tool we were looking for. It’s very straightforward from start to finish. If I got stuck at any point, the chat feature was convenient to use and received quick and detailed responses from a real person to continue building our product. As a small business, the payment structure is also ideal as it eliminates the risk by only charging when we make a sale, as opposed to committing to a big monthly or annual fee. High recommend kickflip!

Highly recommend! After playing around with the app it was very easy to navigate. It didn’t take me long to learn everything. Extremely useful configurator app. The best one available in the market, with both complex functionalities and good looking UI. Other configurator apps just lack functionality or look very outdated. Plus, the customer support is extremely responsive. 10 out of 10

After trying a few other apps I have found kickflip to be the best customiser for Shopify. Nice user interface on the shop, easy to mage and update products/variants, really good customer service (thank you Elizabeth and Vincent). No complaints from me, but a couple of areas I would love to see the app evolve is syncing products/variants to Shopify in order to use discounts that include/exclude add ons, add weights (for shipping purposes), get accurate reporting on profit by entering cogs etc. hopefully this will come in due time!

App is really good but few limitations like can not add product description, can not delete product, though you can archive. But overall loved the app and customer support also great, always ready to help. keep going and improving. Thanks

Parfait ! Juste dommage de ne pas proposer plus d'option de plan. Un plan (minimum!) entre le Pay as you grow et le Entreprise ne serait pas de refus ! Mais l'application est excellente ! Et le SAV est excellent

Amazing App Not like any other Customization product The have so many features and their builder is amazing, it has logic and masks, and color multiply And overall, they are pay as you go model, which is great for new businesses Their support is good as well, and they usually try to help as fast and as much as they can

Great company, great app. You can feel the modern development. That’s both good and bad. You can feel that it’s very modern in terms of usage: very simple, effective, clean etc. The simpleness is so important for customers to order in a quick time, because customizing is a little bit of effort the customer has to put in On the other hand you can feel it’s new, causing some things to not work a hundred percent properly. The support has been great, they don’t respond very quick, but the responses are always helpful, informative and respectful. This company has a lot of potential for the future. I really hope they evolve properly and keep investing in their development. One downside is that you pay a percentage per sale. This will make it less attractive for bigger company and also for your company if you grow along the way. Keep going

If you sell customised products, give Kickflip some serious consideration. The interface is simple and clear to use, and mobile compatible. When you create your products in the app, customers can personalise products according to the options you stipulate. It is A VERY flexible product customisation tool. I tried out many other apps before I found Kickflip and this app is head and shoulders above the rest. It did take me some time to learn how to build my products but there are lots of help videos and I got great online support from Elisabeth and Cindy too.
