Parcelify: Shipping Rates

The most important app I use on both of my Shopify stores, allowing me to define UK shipping by postcode area. It uses a system called RegEx which takes a bit of getting used to, but once you've got your head around it is very logical to use. You won't get this set up in 5 minutes, give yourself time to go through it and it can be very powerful getting the results you want. You will need access to the Real-time Shipping feature of Shopify, which is not given as standard. But don't listen to the negative reviews here, you don't need the expensive higher Shopify plans - just pay your Shopify Basic plan subscription for 1 year in advance and speak to the Shopify Gurus who will then give access to Real-time Shipping for free (and paying up-front also gives a discount on the Shopify Basic plan cost). I had an issue with a bit of bug in how I had set up my rates in Parcelify, meaning that some postcodes where not giving the shipping costs I wanted. The support from Parcelify was excellent - shout out to Alex! - who spent time and effort to get my rates RegEx updated so they could cope with all variations of how customers might enter their postcode. If you have specific needs for calculating postage beyond what the Shopify standard postage rates can manage then Parcelify is a great option!

So far so good- we added this app out of a desperate need for per item shipping, and it's been very easy to set up. Support has been incredibly responsive and helpful.

Parcelify is the main reason I'm able to move my store over to Shopify, simply because I sell items such as stickers and pins that are nearly impossible to calculate a fair price for with Shopify's native options being only Pricing and Weight. With Parcelify's custom rate options filtered through criteria such as Product Tags (and much more), I was able to finally create the best shipping rates for my customers in Shopify! The fact that this is 7.99/month also, which is the cheapest I've seen around, is a huge bonus since the shipping rate options were all I needed. Their guide to using the app is super thorough, and even if there's an error you can't figure out, their support is personable and helpful, and they really take the time to figure out exactly what you need to make your store work (thanks again Richard)!

Parcelify helped us add a custom USPS Media Mail shipping rate that only shows for customers who are buying our college guidebook and not other merchandise. Their customer service has been superb with helping a very amateur Shopify user get this app to work for our needs.

We use Parcelify to help us create multiple shipping prices for different charges within the UK that are difficult to account for within the standard Shopify shipping rates (Scottish Highlands/ Isle of Wight etc). It has also been really helpful in setting up carriage discounts based on spend and helping us to charge a delivery surcharge on some of our larger items that we get charged an extra surcharge from our couriers. The initial set up was a little tricky (because of what we were trying to do with a number of exclusions) but the help team are always on hand with helpful explanations of why what we wanted to do hadn't quite worked and point us in the right direction

I have been trying to set fixed shipping rates based on certain product types for months and was really not liking the idea of paying almost $50/month to do so with other shipping apps — Parcelify is the answer! I struggled to get everything figured out at first but support was AMAZING — super responsive and patient with me. With their guidance, my shipping dreams have finally been realized! Very versatile shipping app that lets you get into the nuts and bolts of the shipping price. It makes per-item fixed shipping prices possible (something that should have been included as part of your Shopify store without paying extra for an app). The logic involved with programming your shipping prices into Parcelify is easy make mistakes with, but fortunately the customer support is Very Good, and within a day of asking for help, you get it. The price is also low, compared to other shipping apps. If Parcelify was easier to understand/use right out of the gate, it would rate 5 Stars. As it is, when considering Ease Of Use, Versatility, Customer Support, and Price, I think 4 Stars is fair.

App more and more intermittent. We are loosing carts and Support online doesn´t exist. (Easy to install? yes. Simple to use? Yes., Trustworthy? No. Is not first time with this issue.)

Ive been wondering whether to give this app 4 or 5 stars for some time as it can be really complex. However I came to realise that the reason for this is that UK shipping is a really complicated affair! So complicated in fact, it took me weeks to configure all eventualities. Despite the odd anomaly, this app has given me the ability to configure all sorts of options. In total, I have had to create approximately 120 shipping rates that apply to different scenarios including next day, 2 day, free and pallet shipping. If you have some knowledge of "regular expressions" this is a great help! Also, for all those complaining that you need to be on a higher plan...just go on a yearly subscription and ask Shopify to activate "Shipping Calculator". That is what I did and I remain on the basic plan but pay less for paying annually! Win Win!

Absolutely love this app! Makes it so simple to separate all my shipping options by so many differentials. Took a while to figure out how to get it all right, but the support team were very helpful and now all my different shipping options work perfectly - and proof is in the pudding! Have been getting offshore orders with no problems - thanks Parcelify!

Parcelify worked exactly as I imagined it would. Thanks to Alex's awesome, enthusiastic help and instructions, I was able to do all the custom shipping rules needed per product / product set (including setting rates for different qtys ordered, and which countries the product can be shipped to). Tip: if you don't see the rates show up at the beginning, you have to click troubleshoot then sync with Shopify. Only need to do this at the very beginning so that the rules show up on your cart :)

Yay a Shopify to provide a FREE PICK UP / or Click and Collect based on postal codes / zip codes. This app will solve the problem that is repeatedly discussed in the SHOPIFY forums and no one else seems to have found this solution! I can now specify free pick up only if the buyers zip code is in a designated address. Unlike other store owners who are having problems because people choose the free up option when they are miles away creating a time consuming hassle. Parclify needs to get on the forum and let these people know! I looked for a free work around but there was none so this is the best option! Stop looking and get it now!

This is the exact app that i've been desperately searching for over the course of the last month! The ability to set different rates for different products, of different weights, in different countries and have full control over what conditions these rates will be viewed under is amazing! Very user friendly and great integration. Highly recommend this app.

I used this app to break down Postcodes into suburbs and offer different delivery rates according to the suburb. Thank goodness I came across Parcelify. It does the job perfectly.

THE BEST. We spent 2 days trying EVERY shipping app. Unfortunately we came across this one last. Every other app was over built and didn't function properly. This one did exactly what we needed (free shipping for retail customers - charge shipping for wholesalers). GET THIS APP.

No way to sort/organize your rates in the backend interface making it a nightmare to juggle more than a few rates. It does what we need it to but is not even close to being user friendly. Built a user base as a free app, but they have yet to make any improvements or add any features since they started charging for it though that was their claimed reason.
