Bold Bundles ‑ Product Bundles

I can't remember the last time I left a review, but my experience with the tech support of Product Bundles was amazing. I am a junior developer and was a little hesitant about having experts look over my code as I was trying to integrate the Product Bundle app as well as expand on some of its features. When I emailed the tech support, I got a reply within 24 hours and even an email over the weekend! David was my point of contact and was amazingly supportive. Not only did he give me TWO solutions to my problem, but when I told him I was new to coding, he offered to give me feedback on my personal code as well. I received more excellent feedback from him than I have from any of my other mentors in coding! After I fixed my issue using his solution, I wanted to go back through my code and work on the suggestions he gave me. If I ever have an issue with a Bold Product (which I have only had this one and it wasn't actually an issue with the app), I will never hesitate to reach out to their customer service!

Let me preface this by saying I have never left an app review before but my experience with this one was so awful I have to share. I would be very cautious to recommend this app- when the liquid code was installed by the bold team it deleted all of the prices on my website- it took them over 24 hours to fix- then the bundles were allowing discounts on products that were not suppose to be discounted- I called their customer support nearly a dozen times over 3 days because it was changing pricing on my website so often. The only thing positive i have to say about this app was that their customer service was very kind- although often unable to solve the problem for over 24 hours. Do not install this app if you are expecting a high volume of traffic on your site- it still has bugs (as one of the customer support people admitted to me) and is far more trouble than it is worth- uninstalling now.

I paid to have the liquid code installed. Very professional and done very quickly. Love that they have YouTube tutorials.

Perfect Silent Seller! If the "liquid" code change scares you because you are unknowledgeable, it shouldn't. I know nothing about it and their install instructions are detailed and comprehensive but I opted to have BOLD do it out of convenience. The $25 charge to have it installed is worth it because the app will make its money back in no time. The customizable display options are easy to use and the possibilities with bundles are endless. I also have the "Upsell" app and together these are invaluable.

This app is awful. We were hoping to get a lot out of this, but we've been let down numerous times. Definitely not worth it for us and the multiple uses we have tried to use it for. It actually was the result of our shop going totally blank one day and resulted in significant losses in revenue. I would stay far away from this app.

They have an awesome customer support team. Hard to find a company which does this department right.

It does what it says it does in a very limited way. I'll note the limitations: Products and collections can only be in one bundle Duplicates all variants of a product - so anything with over 50 variants give you error messages sent to your email every few minutes for being over the 100 variant limit Cannot show a bundle as an individual item Products with different prices can only have a % discount applied to them, not an amount ALL products in the bundle must have the same % take off Overall, it's just way too many limitations to justify spending extra money on for us. Over our 3 month trial we got 1 bundle sale - and that's on a volume of 250-300 orders/month. And finally, this is a major annoyance to me and I'll take the blame for myself but want to warn others... there's no way of seeing when you installed the app, so KEEP TRACK or the 90th day will bring a surprise charge!

Awesome app! These are the exact features we were looking for. Our customers love to bundle and shopify falls a bit short with discounts, buy 1 get x and bundles. This app solves the bundling dilemma with ease. Beautiful easy to understand interface and it only takes a few minutes to but together and awesome bundle.

So far so good! We paid the extra to have this integrated to our site and it was well worth it - very quick and seems to be working well. Support has been first class and we would recommend. Our site is www.basecampfood.com and we have three bundles on at the moment.

Great App that is super easy to set up. I had them install the liquid code and they had it installed in less than 24hrs. We have several of their apps and each one has increased our productivity. Highly recommend this app to generate more sales in our store!

UPDATE: Was contacted by Jay, one of the Bold developers and he assigned me an associate to work with me. Angele was very helpful and took care of what she could as a temporary fix. She is now looking into a way to fix the issue completely. As things progress, I will upgrade the stars. Another glitch or two: 1.) after selecting the products to add to the bundle, if you at any time inadvertently hit the "enter" key versus using the mouse to select 'add product', you will be kicked out and have to start all over with your bundle. 2.) If you have a price set that you want your Bundle to be, it doesn't let you do this if the price is not an *exact whole percentage* off the original total price. It overrides and configures your bundle to be an odd amount. (For example, I wanted my bundle to be $59.95, but it kept configuring it to be 29% off, making the Bundle $59.91 - even though I didn't even enter anything in the % off, but only put in my $59.95 price. Once I clicked 'save', the price would override and go back to $59.91.) This is a weekend, so will await feedback on Monday. Thanks! ************************************** Paid $25.00 to have Bold Apps set Product Bundles in our store. Once completed I came back to my store to discover they had changed the search function and it is no longer operating properly. Submitted a ticket and sent an email *with an email receipt notification* to make sure it was received (which came back as received). 8 hours later still no reply. So now, at the top of this Review it says "try contacting the app developer" - so I double check the "ticket" in the initial automated email to see if there are any updates. I am asked to login to view updates. I try that... but it needs a password (which apparently I don't have). Next I try signing up for an account using MY email address only to discover my account is already registered. I try requesting a new password. I am still waiting for that new password reset email to come to my email inbox. (Yes, I checked spam - NOT there.)

Excellent App very easy to use and Super and friendly customer service.

Excellent app with some features we've been looking for. Integrating it was made seamless by the staff at Bold commerce (the developers) and we're looking to roll it out more and more to the website. So far testing has proved it worthwhile for getting the app.

I'm just new to shopify, and currently building my store, but loving this app so far, but what I love the MOST is the amazing customer service that I've been getting. They installed the app quickly, and have come up with solutions and even made the modifications for me. I definitely recommend this app! Kari

Very impressed with bold apps so far. We just uploaded the "bundles" app and like it so far. If nothing else the guys at bold are professional and helpful. I will try and edit this message once we have used Bundles for a few months on our site http://GrooveLife.co

The app works really well however the liquid code update was more complicated that initially expected. The first use of the app also made the product photos wide and elongated which looked weird and not like the examples given. with some internal coding we managed to set maxiumum limitation for the product bundle display width which seems to work really well and now look awesome. There is a delay of up to 30 mins for any changes within the app to become present on the site which made it difficult during inital testing. Also we did not know that you can not bundle varients within a product. For example we wanted to bundle our rubber duck so that when customers bought a duck in each colour they recieved a discount. This does not work within the bundle app. We contacted the developers who replied really quickly and were amazing help and even pointed us towards another app that would do what we desired! PERFECT. Great help and assistance and now we have it running as we wanted we hope that it will encourage our customers to buy more!
