Tired of using Bold Options? So were we. Do yourself a favor and just make the switch. If you were able to figure out how to make Bold do what you want then using this app is going to absolutely floor you with how easy and logical everything is. The integration was a 1 button process. The documentation for this app is absolutely phenomenal, and we were able to make all but two customizations to our site by ourselves without needing programming knowledge. For the remaining two customizations (changing selection border color and altering the functionality of one of the widgets) we opened a support ticket with W3 and they answered both of our questions in plain English, provided copy-paste snippets that solved our problems, and did so within literally minutes of opening for business. We later had an issue that turned out to be a Shopify problem, not a W3 problem, and they were just as professional and eager to help. The only downside to this app is that the customer can't edit options in cart. They told me it's a feature they'd like to see added to the app, but more groundwork would need to be done before such a thing could happen. The drawback is outweighed a hundred times over by the benefits, and my customers are literally reaching out to us with praise over how much better the ordering process is. Thanks W3! Update 10/10/22 We've had to reach out a few times since the initial review to ask how to customize something here and there. Support is always fast, always helpful, very easy to understand. As of now I still recommend them without hesitation!

Great customer service! I've reached out several times and have gotten answers within minutes that have solved any issues we've had. The app is also super easy to use. We use it across multiple stores. Would recommend!

I've been a customer for almost three years now. I had a recent issue due to the Shopify theme I was using and W3 responded quickly , updated my store code, and made sure everything was working. Awesome! They were super helpful during the initial code install three years ago too. Highly recommended.

Like most apps, once you get the hang of it, it's great. They have good help videos, and I am pleased with how it works and how it looks on my website.

Very happy with the overall design and capabilities of this app, the BEST out there and we've tried others that did not provide as many options and were not user friendly. This app team will not only support you directly, but they have also taken time to create many useful video and written tutorials on how to use this app to get the best out of it for your store, which most developers do not offer. We have received unbeatable customer service every time we contacted support. They have always provided us with exceptional and prompt support, always very professional and knowledgeable, a pleasure to work with. Thank you Jason and the whole W3Trends team!! We have been using this app for about 2 years and it's helped us grow our business by being able to do custom options for pre-orders, custom framing, and anything else we need for our promotions. Definitely recommend this app.

Literally the best customer service I have ever experienced. This app should have solved all of my problems, but for some reason it wasn't working quite right (it ended up being something in my own code, not anything from the app). These guys spent HOURS trying to track down the issue, and kept me updated the whole time. The app itself is great, but the service can't be beat.

Needed to create a long list of check boxes inside a product listing before a customer was able to add to cart. This works perfectly. Thanks!

Terrible service, when i ask to fix the problem from the app Changes the price on the product page when an option with an upcharge is selected, changes the item price in the cart to include all upchrage products, and install image customizer. their only answer was to pay 187.5$ to fix it bad service. non-functioning app. DO NOT BUY THIS APP.
Sorry to hear that you were not happy with our service. We had offered to look at the issues you were experiencing but you never accepted the collaborator access request so there was very little we can do. As for the additional charges, those were for the data entry and custom configurations you were asking for us to do that are outside of the standard functionality of the app. If you are still interested in us taking a look at your installation just let us know and we will get it set up for you.

This app is brilliant, I have tried other custom apps and this one is miles ahead. Very user friendly and fits into our theme absolutely seamlessly. If you get stuck anywhere along the way the support team are very helpful and so quick at getting issues ironed out . Feels like you are dealing with nice genuine people instead of the usual robot replies we are all used to these days . 5 stars for sure !

Great company, great support. I've been using this app for a couple of months. I couldn't ask for better support. This company immediately identified a problem I was having, assisted me in getting it resolved. I highly recommend this company if you have products that need a lot of options to configure.

Support does not exist for this app. They send us an email with 3 video link which did not help to resolve our problem. The app could not be set properly and worst, it brings but to the cart page.
Our customers are our number one priority. I apologize for your negative experience. It is standard procedure for our agents to send our customers tutorials before we are granted access to one's store. When we were available to assist our app had been uninstalled from your store. We would be happy to assist you if you are interested in trying the app again.

I had been struggling to fix my store and having difficulty figuring out some issues that were causing errors with the appl. I spent time with Justin who help me fix a few simple things and now this app is doing exactly what I need it to do. Thank you for your help. This app works perfectly for my store!

Customer support goes above and beyond to get you the results you want. We wanted an app that provides great ROI with support to back it up. This app does both. Simple to set-up, does everything we wanted it to do, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you so much to Justin and the team. I've tried most of the Custom product options apps there are on the app store, and this one is by far the one that suited my need most. The live preview, conditional logic and extra costs on options let you create just about everything you need. The user interface is quite user-friendly in my opinion, and if you have any questions or problems, the support team is very responsive and friendly. It may require a tiny bit of coding to entirely customize some details of your own options, but if I managed it, so can you! Thanks again Justin and Megan for helping me throughout my journey :)

Been using it for a few years. Also switched to another top selling one and tried that for 6 months. This one is by FAR more intuitive and it updates quickly. The set up is easier in my opinion as well. I will say that I've had install issues every single time I've have to update my Avenue theme (and I'm not making any node adjustments) and the lettering comes in all weird and I have to edit W3's code to make it look better - but W3 showed me how to do it. A free manual install has always been done (which they advertise for Avenue), minus when I ran into one customer service rep who refused to install it and wanted to charge me for it (Jason Beldon). Support Rep Megan Dobarganes is THE BEST! She's an outside of the box thinker and provides amazing support. W3 would dominate the market if they could figure out the edit in cart where it doesn't double what's in the customer's cart. That's the only thing holding them back I think, but I bet they're working on it.
Thank you for your review. As we mentioned in your previous tickets the "supported" themes are in reference to the auto-installation of our app into your theme. The auto installer worked as intended but unfortuantely your theme styles were hiding text in your product pages. We pointed out where the issue was and possible ways to fix it. Our free support does not include custom theme modifications or style changes. We offer professional services for those in need of additional help. We are sorry that this encounter out of the several you have had over the years have changed your review from 5 starts to 2 stars but we hope we have the opportunity to earn them back Please reach out if you need anything else.

This app is really a winner. Despite a UI from the 80s in Russia, it is super flexible and most of all compatible with wholesale portal as the way they handle the cost of the options is unique. That is the reason I am using it. We have more than 400 paintings and 1400 variants. I needed an app to manage the sell of the frame option. Do not know if it can help others but with this app, I created first the master combinations (ex:40x40cm and 100x100cm to cover all scenarios of my catalogue of products, Then I created the 'slave' visual option for each dimension by associating a picture of the 3 different colours of my frames to a hidden product. By doing this, when someone is clicking ont he picture, it is looking at the correct frame dimension and associate cost). Trust me, it is just wonderful and it is the only app that was able to do that without managing a stock or creating virtual variants (that pollute you interface). To make it work, I then created the logics for the master combinaison saying that it must be display on each products page only of the tag XXXxXXXcm is use. In order to automatically add the this tag on the products, I just installed an auto-tag app creating a logic to use the variant name (ie 40x40cm) as a tag...and bing ! everything is automatic. It is still a good day of work to setup everything but trust me, this W3 option app is magic. So why only 4 stars on not 5 ? Simply because the support team just disappeared. They were amazing when I installed the app few months ago but recently I add an issue when we launch our website (critical moment) and the app was not displaying properly on mobile. I had to deactivate it (= loss of $) and after a couple of days without answers, I finally received an email that they will investigate...then no more answers to my 3 follow-up emails. I finally found the issue by myself as I understood the situation with them was hopeless (it was conflict with another app) . At this day, I still waiting for a message from them. I even told them I can told them which kind of app is in conflict so it can help others clients but they seem not interested. I was just hoping more reactivity especially when you GO LIVE and have hundreds of people visiting the website. So just be careful and double check with them first if they are available for your project. If no answer, you better have to find an alternative as you need their support to install (if not basic theme) and to understand the 'soviet' UI :) Hope they will get back on track soon and focus again on this app (indeed, I assume they are busy with new apps they released).
