Works as expected for single products - incompatible with Shopify Bundles, nor is it in their roadmap.

This app worked well for us 7 plus years, but recent updates have caused problems. Previously, you could easily view all selected products under an "option set" by clicking on "review products". Now when you click on review products, it just shows every product in the store. If you had no clue what was assigned to this option set, you would have to continually scroll through all of your products which is pain if you have larger inventories. You can use the search bar to find products within "option set", but you might find only a few of the selected products you are looking for. While you can search individual products under "product search" to see their assigned options sets. Nothing shows all of the products under the option set. You may have to guess around & make note of what is selected on your own end and hopefully it adds up to the number of products selected that it tells you. I couldn't recommend this app to those who have large inventories.

I've been using this app for at least six years, with only a few minor bugs under bold control. Since Shop Cycle took over the app, there have been more issues than one would consider acceptable, and service has deteriorated; they requested access to my store four days ago to see if they could solve it, and they have yet to access it. I made modifications six days ago, and they still have not been updated. This is not the first time we've experienced syncing issues that took days to showup. On one occasion, our options simply disappeared, and we had to re-add them. Definitely not the app it used to be.

This app looks like not so good. So many images by addons price were generated. Because of this app, my all store was messed.

Have used this app for a few years now. I came here to praise Jeff for his customer service on the app. The product options weren't always syncing or if they did , it would be not immediate. I give 5 star for Jeff and 3 star for the app. I am on the basic plan. I also run a woocommerce site and adding the product options directly under the product description is so much quicker and easier. Anyway... Thank you again Jeff for your help.

Good luck trying to get help from customer support when you need it or how about when your store starts slowing down because their app is lazy loading or when you are running a sale and your store is flooded but the app doesn't keep up. After 2 years of heavy monthly subscription fees and mediocre customer support, I decided to uninstall the App and try something else and boy did I NOT regret it. A $5 dollars App solved my 2 years of worry and the app name is G:Variants & Product Options

This is an interesting piece of fine print: "Product Options is not compatible with checkout buttons that don't direct the customer through its checkout process." Does this mean that Adjustable Prices (Premium) do not work with Shopify Payments? Or does it just mean that Adjustable Prices will not be processed with "Accelerated Checkouts"? Might pay to expand on this here for me and perhaps in your installation guide.

It is powerful, and does everything you need, but please guys, you need to develop a way for us to be able to clear the cache when a new product is published. We publish a new product every day or two, and the cache time is too long meaning the customers do not get their customization options unless we get in there and manually clear the cache (not something non-developers would probably understand) after each product is published. Have asked for this option months ago now, but seems to not be on the roadmap still despite support agreeing it is something they have wanted for a while as well. Just add a "Clear Options Cache" button, or give us an option to set the cache time, and it is five stars all the way.

Update: Feb 15, all of my stores options disappeared but thankfully someone was able to log into my store to fix the code within 20 min. Last night Feb 2, 2024 The app again stopped adding options to products. I tried the same trick of changing the cache's last two digits in the code as they instruct on their website and that didn't work. And I can't use their Refresh App with Shopify button within the app because it will WIPE out all product options for my entire store and they don't warn people about this before hand. I gave them permissions and the options are still "waiting to refresh" 24 hours later. Speaking to customer service will get you frustrated because it seems like no one is actually listening to the issue and they keep recommending the same tricks that I've already explained that I tried or can't because of a bug within the app. I may need to move on and try the competing app offered in the Shopify store. I've used this app since 2016 when it was under BOLD Apps before ShopCircle took it over and I've had nothing but issues since then. Jan 17th 2023 For the first time in 3 years the app within Shopify went down tonight and will NOT load. All of my product options for my products are not showing and this needs to be fixed. I now get within Shopify Admin a grey page that says: options.shopapps.site refused to connect. I've checked a few stores that also have product options running and it's not affecting all shops, only some of us which makes me think I'm not on a good server. They stated they had server issues and that it's fixed but now product changes are taking over 45 minutes to refresh. Still waiting for answers but just getting canned cut and paste responses. ---------------------------------------- After speaking with Alina from Shop Circle, she was able to get the required changes made and make it look a bit more seamless than it was on the initial install. I'm happy with the changes made and look forward to another 3 years of use. ----------------------------- After having this app for 3 years under Bold and it working perfectly, the app was sold off to a company named Shop Circle. At this point I'm not that impressed and I'm concerned that the service isn't the same as the previous company. I've been left hanging with an open request to install the app on a new Shopify 2.0 theme and it's the only thing holding me back from being able to publish my store. They'll also just log in, makes changes and disappear without a word still leaving the app not functional nor addressing my initial concerns for what needed to be integrated.

I love this app but there is a major problem and the reason I left a 3-star review instead of a 5-star review. When ever I add options to a product I have to go through this lengthy trial and error process to get it to show on the page. It includes changing the last 2 digits of the cache params as instructed by Bold (window.BOLD.common.cacheParams.options) and having to add and remove the product from the bold options page in the app. I have to do this 10-20 times before the options show on the live site. SOOOOO SICK OF IT. I love the app, it is unfortunate this problem has not been resolved.

The app is fair at best. It takes forever to sync to store (it seems I need to do this everytime I add a product). Adding an option set is tricky and not intuitive.

17 Dec 2019 - I have to again downgrade the rating for this app. I am trying to create product options and app does not save the options. Which means all the work lost. It's been two hours trying to fix this and is a very common problem with the app. It is one of the busiest periods for us. We pay all year round for this app and we need the most it stops working. I have updated my review as finally, the customer service managed to solve my problem. Hope it works well from here. Thanks Extremely frustrating app. It does not add products and keep showing the original product price. Contacting Bold is almost impossible. It keeps asking for a password before we can even ask a question.

I like the app but I have 3 days left in my trial period and now I can't access any of the services in this app or make changes to my Shopify products anymore .

The app itself is a great add-on to Shopify. My only two issues are 1. There are a lot of steps and screen hopping to setup product options. 2. It sometimes takes FOREVER to display on product. That's a pain when you are doing webwork and would like to see it. This morning it took over 15 minutes to display. I'd love to give 5 stars, just can't. The Earphone Guy http://www.earphoneguy.com

Generally as advertised and the support was quite good. Certainly a useful app for many reasons...but unfortunately we can't give this a great review overall. -The app costs money to install, which isn't the case with several of the alternatives. -The app was more tedious and cumbersome to use than the app we ended up going with. -More expensive per month than the app we ended up using, particularly if you need the "premium" features. -Not as versatile at modifying prices as the app we ended up using. -Charges extra for features that are included as standard with some other apps. -Bold repeatedly asks people to write 5-star reviews, which gets a bit annoying. We fiddled around with this app for a while and ultimately ended up going with Unlimited Product Options by OnlyGrowth.

I would give 10 STARS to M-C, a member of the customer support team, who went so far above and beyond to help me. She never got annoyed by my questions, and after waiting FOREVER to get help from the app support, she figured it out for me. THANK YOU!!! I would give 3 starts to this app in general.... If it weren't for M-C I wouldn't be able to use it. We paid for the installation, and it had extraneous code in both customer email notifications and Order Invoices, as well as the checkout. M-C fixed all three issues (THANK YOU).... and to my knowledge no one else on the support team has yet to address it app-wide. The app has so much potential. It is really really great. I just wish that the team would take these design issues seriously. They relate to User Experience. No matter how cool the app is functionally, all a customer will see is "why is there extra code on my page" and they won't appreciate the function. I look forward to the team polishing and finishing this app, updating it, and I really hope they give M-C a raise!!!!!

Overall not a bad product, but not great. It'll have to do until we can afford to pay 10K to have a nice website built for us. The main issue with this app is that it doesn't track inventory for common variants like size, or color. So the type of options you can realistically use with this app is limited. Their customer service is responsive though and they offered a work around. The work around was to create a duplicate hidden product, but the problem is it shows the same item twice in the cart, and at the very end at check out, its removed since its a hidden product. Very confusing for buyers to click add to cart for 1 item, and see it appear twice in their cart, so that didn't work. This app is awesome to use for adding options like "accessories" though. With the premium version, it shows "total extras" for any additional add-ons your customer chooses, which is pretty cool.
