****ing app disabled my cart page. I didn't know until a week after when a customer asked me why products added to his cart wasn't showing up on the cart page. I thought it was a facebook tracking issue. I wasted a lot of money because of this app.

TL;DR; If you plan to ever make updates to your products, this app will break and you'll have to start from scratch. I've only had the app for about a month and twice in this time period, my product upsells have randomly stopped working. I've had to reach out to support twice now and I feel like I have to constantly police the app to make sure it works. In many cases, I've made no updates to the products, but been accused of doing so (including in the response to this review). and told that's why the app has broken. Quite frankly though, even if I made changes to product descriptions or pricing, that's not a good reason for the app to break. This means that the app is not dynamic, which is super surprising to me. What if someone needs to mass update pricing? Shopify allows users to mass update products via CSVs for a reason - because it's required by many of their users. A premium paid app should support this functionality. There is a reason Shopify set it up so that the handle is treated as a unique identifier... so that users can make updates to products without things breaking. Also, if you have a lot of unique upsells (we have 50+), it's super time consuming to set up the upsells. You have to collapse and uncollapse fields to set up triggers, and the search function for filtering is very unreliable. Lots of unnecessary UI design on the backend that slows things down for the user. All-in-all there is much work to be done on this product. I'm not sure how it has such good ratings? If you're only planning to use this product for 10 or fewer products, it's probably ok though.
Hello there, I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and share your experiences with the app. I'm very sorry you have been experiencing some troubles with our Upsell app - I want to assure you that having to constantly watch the app is not something you should need to do. Because each offer is unique, it unfortunately does take a bit of time to set them up. However, there is an option to duplicate your offers! That way, if you're making similar offers, you can easily duplicate & adjust the conditions so that it saves a bit of time. Regarding the offers not working, that shouldn't be the case unless any changes have been made to the offer product since creating the offer, or it's out of stock. As well as if your plan's view limit has been reached. I hope this clears things up! Careful installing ANY BOLD App!! They add a ton of code. We have been down all week. The apps do not all talk to each other, a lot of features are not intuitive, and URGENT in the BOLD world, is now 6 DAYS!! When they work they are great, but when they don't it is a nightmare!

The worst customer service in the world! Οur store had to be open on Monday, but we are still waiting for Bold support to respond. We lost 12 days on this app. We sent a message before the installation to cancel it because we didn't have time, but instead, they proceeded with the installation of the code. They duplicated our theme to install the app code, they renamed the one to Bold Upsell and installed the code to the Other one. Now we don't know which one is the original and we're waiting for the support team to remove the code. (5 days now).

Unfortunately due to the mix-up, our team had installed the app's code rather than removed it. We had hoped to discuss the situation over the phone with you, however couldn't reach you. It's certainly not what we want our merchants to experience while they are using our apps.

BE AWARE. We have tried to make this app work for the past ten days but only with issues. It does not work well with some other apps we have on our store and worse, when we disabled all functions and removed the upsell offers, it still proceeded to checkout via bold's checkout process so that they would collect 0.5% of income on more than $2200 of our transfers. When reaching out to the support staf we've been told we could not be reimbursed. There are better after-checkout-upsells apps that this available, do not use!

We got sales from this app, no doubt about that. But this app destroyed my loads times, even worse if you cleared your cookies and browser history the site appeared quick for the first few pages loads until the bold app scripts did something. And this was happening on even the collection pages where the app was doing nothing in terms of functionality. I hired a speed optimisation expert and he thought it could be the app. He deleted the app and any leftover code and the site went from loading 6-7 seconds on most occasions down to less than 2 seconds!!! I've had this installed for probably over a year and I'm embarrassed I didn't spot this. Conversions rates are through the roof so I'd dread to think how much revenue this app has cost me over the year. I don't usually write reviews but something needs doing, Shopify shouldn't allow this.

Not sure if it's in the installation or what, but this app wouldn't show the upsell module, and prevented customers from adding to their cart. Other apps, such as the recurring payments won't work either (after professional installation). TL;DR: This app cost me not only time, but also sales.

Froze checkout on my store for a whole day until I noticed, maybe lost $1,000 in sales. Deactivated the app and a few days later I noticed my check out not working again, finally deleted and check out now working again. Tech support is useless. Install at your own risk.

None of Bolds apps will correctly install on my (brand new) Shopify store. They all sit in an infinite loop, or give me a "whoops, something went wrong" error.

Closed my store for days! This Product Upsell app caused my store to be down for five days until Shopify stepped in to fix it. Injected scripts were being pushed into my store by the app which prevented our shipping methods to load – hence prevented customers to make a purchase. Bold couldn’t care less when they got involved, I got the most uninterested answer and they did not seem to find a reason to look further into it for other customers to avoid the same error. Five days without sales - that’s pretty expensive.

Extremely poor support. The app mess with product page layout. Image sliders stopped working and support saying its not because of their app. This is so careless.

I never leave poor reviews, but this app is bad, like really bad - like I wish I could rate it -5 Stars bad. I'm shocked there are so many positive reviews, because I've had nothing but 100% problems and bugs. I have a long email thread between me and customer service, I've given them access to our store's back office, have had several of their 'gurus' take a look and even they can't figure it out. I'm not sure if there gurus are actual developers or random panhandlers picked from the streets. There's nothing special about our theme, and I disabled all third-party apps too. The app never works correctly and the UI/UX is so outdated you'll feel like you're surfing the web when the internet first came out #throwback Overall, this app is about as bad as it gets.

Customer service is awful, I needed help with using two of the apps to create a BOGO sale. They got back to me at first to answer one of my questions and went on to ignoring me completely. This happened 3 times this year, I contacted them for help each time and each time they would respond once or twice and then nothing anymore.I probably sent 7 emails asking for help - nothing. Don't get any of their apps unless you are able to help yourself with questions because these people wont help you. I would give 0 stars if I could.

When I choose an App it's because I want something that is supposed to be fast and simple to set up. I just wasted hours plus $9.99 on this. Tried everything to get the upsell to work but nada every time. Very frustrating, now back to square one.

We have 2 apps from this company and both are incredibly glitchy (sometimes they work, sometimes not), and customer service never answers their phone or returns their calls, so getting anything fixed takes a very long time. We've had to change our sales more than once because the apps won't work & we can't get anyone to help us in a timely manner. Sometimes the offer popup worked and sometimes it didn't, and it confused some of our customers when it didn't so we had to service them over the phone which defeats the purpose of the app (we probably lost sales from it). I'd recommend going elsewhere because this hasn't been a great experience.

It's a great Ap - and never let us down .......BUT IT'S STOPPED WORKING LAST NIGHT!! RIGHT ON THE START OF OUR XMAS SALES!! Error Reads: "Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'Application not defined: Product Discount' in /home/bold/app_common/db_connect.php:26 Stack trace: #0 /home/bold/discount-app/init.php(18): require_once() #1 /home/bold/discount-app/login.php(13): require_once('/home/bold/disc...') #2 {main} thrown in /home/bold/app_common/db_connect.php on line 26" Hope you guys get this fixed immediately as a lot of Stores are going to loose thousands otherwise!!!!
