Jii was very helpful and replied quickly, assuring me that there isn't actually a need to switch to the new app (which isn't ready) and it's ok to stay on the legacy app for now whilst they continue to work on it. Legacy app still seems to sync for me so I'll sit tight for now. Jasmin has also been very helpful recently in further troubleshooting issues with the shopify app
