Stay away from this Search Bar. They can deactivate the search bar for 6 days without any notifications if there is a certain amount of searches exceeded. Mind you, if you have a big team, then your internal searches are counted and once you are over, they will deactivate the search. No real time customer service, too slow to respond. The only time they will respond the fastest is when you install the app for the first time, so that they can push you to upgrade to a paid plan and then when you cancel, they will email you immeditely asking you to upgrade to a higher plan and telling you that they don't have any fault. PAY one time for a search bar, who doesn't charge you or block you for search counts.

Thanks for your feedback! We are committed to transparency in how our policies operate, so we must respectfully clarify that several statements in this review are inaccurate. Our plans are based on sessions (not individual searches), and internal activity from logged-in Shopify admin accounts is not counted toward usage. Merchants receive automated email notifications at 90% and 100% of their session limit, along with visible in-app alerts, so there is advance notice before any limit is reached. If a plan’s session allowance is exceeded, the app temporarily pauses for the remainder of the billing cycle and automatically reactivates at the start of the next cycle, or immediately upon upgrading; it is never permanently disabled. We aim to provide timely, reliable support across time zones, and we’re happy to review usage together and help choose the right plan to ensure everything runs smoothly.

this app disables the shopify search & discovery app and then if you ensign from their app your search functions in shopify are crashed

Hi! Thanks for your feedback. Rapid Search does not permanently disable Shopify Search & Discovery. When enabled, it replaces the storefront search experience by design, but Shopify’s native search is fully restored as soon as Rapid Search is disabled or removed. We apologize for the frustration. Support is good, the app is good. BUT THEY LIE ABOUT THE NUMBER OF SEARCHES & ROI. PLEASE BE AWARE THEY WILL TRY TO HIKE THE NUMBER OF SEARCHES TO MAKE MORE MONEY!!!!!!

I had a very bad experience with this app. When I downloaded the app it messed up my theme. My site is connected to a completely different Shopify store I own, when I click the logo (home) it takes the customer to a completely different website. It is also impossible to add anything to cart any longer. I deleted the app, tried to delete all the code but nothing. This issue is on the refresh theme, I published two other themes to check if I still had the same issues and they are working fine with no issues. I contacted Shopify, they said it’s an issue with code and they can’t help so I need to contact the app developer. I did and the next day they responded and asked for access to my store. I thought this was great I’ll get it all sorted, but they logged in once and did nothing. I’ve been emailing them for a few days with no response and I received another access request which I accepted and still nothing. I have a website sitting there that I can’t use that I spent hours customising. I’m literally going to have to do this all over again with a new theme just because of downloading this app. I would not recommend this app

Could you please provide us with an alternative phone number or schedule a Zoom meeting so we can resolve this matter? The phone number we have on file hasn't been successful in reaching you. We resolved your issue two days ago but haven't received any response. Also, our investigation found that the "Add to cart" issue you had on your store was unrelated to Rapid Search!

We've been using this app for a while now & it's superb. The integration with Out of the Sandbox / Pixel Union themes is flawless & the support from the tech team is first rate. You really need this app to grow your store - it's worth every penny. UPDATE: 4/3/25 They are trying to push us onto a higher price plan & have limited the smart search - other providers do not do this. Time to try another search app. Uninstalling....

The app doesn't work with all themes. We also disabled the app for a few months, yet they still send us emails stating that we have reached 90% of our account's session limit and need to upgrade. Hmmmm, How is that possible if the app isn't even active on our website? If the app was active, I may have fallen for this and upgraded, shame on you guys for giving your customers false analytics.

We've had the app installed since 2022, paying $9 a month. During that time, I was not able to change the colour of the main search bar to match my store, and quite often, search results could not be clicked on for no apparent reason. This past month, the search function was also disabled halfway through the month, meaning we lost all search functionality on our store. This is wholly unprofessional, especially considering the app is being paid for.
