I almost joined Loyalty Lion and spent a fortune but luckily went for ReferralCandy at the last minute I do still think it's quite expensive. And, to be honest, the app is a bit rough around the edges. It could do with more customisation options (the emails are bit basic) and better referral features (tiered rewards would be great) but it gets the job done. I've been using it for a couple of months now and the referral rate on my store is a pitiful 0.31% so it's not performing particularly well. But that could be due to my offer not being good enough so I can't blame RC too much. For now I'm going to leave this review at 5 stars as the customer service has genuinely been great. Very fast response times and helpful staff. In particular Tippy did a great job of helping me out. I will continue to try to improve the referral scheme and after a year I will update the review and give a more accurate star value for what it's worth, based on how I got on.

ReferralCandy is great! I've been using it for a long time on our WooCommerce-based store but am now migrating over to Shopify. While building our new store, I needed help with a weird issue (that turned out to be caused by another app) and Karen walked me through what to check. Without her help I wouldn't have even thought to look in the other app's settings to see what it was adding to each page. ReferralCandy is an easy way to let customers become advocates, and it works great for us... and pays for itself very very quickly. Thanks!!

We used this app to attract new customers via our loyal existing customer base. In around 6 weeks it's brought in around £800 in new sales, pretty impressive but I would say the success is down to a strong offer for advocates and referred friends. Support has also been great, a super fast response on their on-page chat with knowledgable staff (special mention to Karen for answering endless questions). https://www.kartel.co.uk

While I think it's got a while to go to be a super intuitive software, I don't think there's a better one out there. I wouldn't take my chances with others especially with Derek as the best customer service support staff member. Helped me through a precarious situation and I am so relieved! Definitely worth downloading, but make sure what you're offering to customers and how!

Derek helped me navigate the app by doing a Loom video. That made a big difference. Thanks. I wish there was a tutorial for the referring customers on what to expect and how to expect it. It seems we need to provide more language in the email, but as it is still a bit vague what the referring customer experience will be it is hard for me to create the documentation to support the referring customer's experience.
