I'm done with this app. I've tried to resolve this several times with Shipstation support, but they tell me it's "working as intended." Here are my issues... 1) When I change an order's address in Shopify, the change in address doesn't import into shipstation. I've sent items to the wrong address many times because of this. 2) When updating the address in the Shipstation app, the web version doesn't reflect the change, causing orders to be shipped to the wrong address. 3) The sync is extremely inaccurate to what is shown in Shopify when shipped via multiple vendors. For some reason, the developers can't figure out how to have an order that shows fulfilled in Shopify to reflect correctly in Shipstation, causing me to spend hours cross-referencing my open orders in Shopify to manually mark them as fulfilled in Shipstation. 4) My Etsy orders aren't syncing correctly, causing missed orders. For some reason, Shipstation only imports some of the orders, not all of them from Etsy. Again, I've tried to bring attention to these issues but the Shipstation team shows no interest in resolving them. Instead, they want to treat me like I'm ignorant. It would also be helpful to have a phone number so I could discuss the specific issues live. I'm moving on.

I am writing this review as a last ditch attempt to get support after over 25 chats and emails dating back at least a year. From the start I have been using the print automation to print an Endicia Pay Upon Use Return Label when I print a shipping label. About a year ago the automation got a bug, and will randomly stop working. Once it stops, every order there after will not print the return label. I have over 25 chats and emails and was told my case is "escalated", but since it is not a wide spread issue there is no timeline when it will be fixed. The work around was to use the shipstation branded return portal. OK, I set it up. Now this is a work around, but it costs me more money. This is because I can only use 1 type of return. So if a package goes out USPS first class mail for $5, it has to come back using Priority Mail for $8. Not great, but hopefully it would get me by until the automation was fixed. About 2 months ago the returns portal stopped working. It now tells my customers their order has not yet shipped and no label can be produced. This case was also "escalated" but there is no date for it to be fixed because it is not a wide spread issue...so I am told. Now I spend way too much time dealing with returns because both options I have to automate this process are busted and I cant get anyone to fix one or the other. I get emails and calls from people needing return labels that I have to stop what I am doing and go manually produce the label. If these issues cannot be fixed in the near future I will be leaving shipstation for a competitor. I like everything else about shipstation, and when everything functions it meets my needs perfectly. But the support has been terrible, I keep getting the same scripted lines over and over, and my issues are no closer to being fixed than they were a year ago. Your move shipstation, your move.

A lot of issues with this platform, can't book Couriers Please for Interstate orders, two months now and still not resolved. Australia Post, you can't book multiple labels per order, so you get charged double, even though Australia Post are not requesting that amount, so seems dodgy that ShipStation might be pocketing the extra dollars. Also with Australia Post you can't access your terms, so need to book each label up front. This integration is certainly having a negative impact on our costs. Hope the owners see this, and start talking to their customers to make improvements to the dashboard, and also to their integrations.

I signed up as a paying customer thinking that this would work fine but how wrong I was. This app is very very slow. here is the example: We get online orders via shopify and it takes minimum 40 minutes to show up on shipstation. so we aree not able to ship items as the order comes in. I wish i had known about this before. I will start to look for another app that doesn't have this sort of annoying delays. No one should delay shipping their orders because a shipping app is delaying in showing up the order and keep in mind each how important each order is. And this app is showing the orders 40 mins late and we can only print the label after that precious time is lost?

I have edited my review in July 2023 Previously i thought "This makes my life so much more simple. Firstly, the support I have had is really good. An initial meeting was set up with someone and she supported me all the way. I have very complex settings to enable me to automate my shipping method and weight, and the app is very customisable to your needs. I can easily download all of my shipments before I confirm them, so I can count them and make sure they are correct first. It enables you to easily flag express orders and certain types of orders. You can also use it to print out all of your packing slips, which is very useful. It also tells you if you have already printed them. I used to use Royal mail click and drop, but this makes it so much easier. It is working really well." NOW HOWEVER I have had a number of shipments that I cant create a label for. I get strange error messages. Support are unable to help. Unfortunately unless it is a simple error, support have to escalate the query and usually this means you NEVER hear back with a solution. I usually give up at this point and have to go direct to Click and Drop and create a label there. On one occasion I was told i would have to wait 2 weeks!! To which I said to not bother as I needed it sorted by end of day. FOR WEEKS I have had an issue with Ship Station Connect disconnecting, making it an utter nightmare to get my labels printed. Nobody is sorting it out. They tell you to do basic stuff which I have done and have had no effect, as I had thought. I keep getting stupid emails saying "let us know if you are still having issues". It is really slow now too and keeps glitching Plus in shopify it says your app is unsupported now and needs updating. What is going on? I give up and am NOW LOOKING TO LEAVE TO A DIFFERENT APP.

Keep in mind that if you use an automatic discount, the final amount won't be right in the packing slip. We have to leave this app because our customers think they are being overcharged due to packing slips being wrong about amount paid. They don't offer any solution, just this: Automatic Discounts: A discount applied at checkout that does not require the customer to manually enter a code at checkout. ‘Automatic Discounts’ from Shopify do not import into ShipStation. These discounts are a different type of discount than the ‘Discount Codes’ that would import as a line item. This difference may be why you see a discrepancy between Order Total and Amount Paid. This is not very professional.

I like using Shipstation as standalone software but this app is just not cutting it. It's incredibly buggy and inconsistent in the rates its showing. It's super frustrating as a merchant to not be able to offer consistant and reliable live rates to our customers. Customer service is incredibly difficult to get.

A decent system overall but have an issue? Going on our 7th business days as of now to fix ONE issue that I also had to previously have them fix. Customer support is non-existent when you need anything done FAST. No phone support. Only chat which is a waste of time. And email response very 2-3 business days.

One of the worst customer support systems I've dealt with. If you're lucky they'll respond within 48 to 168hrs. Their response is usually tired and unhelpful. No live support and they'll happily ignore all requests to chat with support. Currently looking for an alternative solution.

This app is not user friendly at all. None of my orders would show up and I had to put them in manually. Also they have awful service and dont have live chat. Download Pirate Ship Instead

ShipStation used to be one of the best alternatives used them for many years now with literally no customer suppport, they are nearly unusable. Major intergration issues... buyer beware!

Their Monday morning outages are getting old. Happens way too often. Also, when you get customers, whose shipping labels show to have been paid for and printed, contacting you on a regular basis you will realize that you have to babysit this company's product. There are several threads on the Amazon Seller forum describing this exact issue, charging for shipping labels that aren't printed out. The latest glitch had occurred for over a week when using Shipstation Connect. Randomly printed out blank pages instead of Packing Slips. This seemed to occur when printing large batches. After waiting on their Chat for over an hour their poorly trained support person was zero help. Told us we should uninstall and reinstall the app & also tried to infer that it was our printer causing the problem. We have 2 printers and they both did the exact same skips. Another waste of time. We have found a workaround to avoid the missing packing slips. It takes more time but we can't continue having orders not shipped. Looking for a new option that isn't part of Shipstation or Stamps.com (the parent company). The fact that Shipstation took three weeks to respond to this clearly represents their approach to customer support.

We were originally really happy with their services, but the customer service has been very poor and they seem to be very unresponsive. They removed the chat option, and now emails take forever. Our recent tickets have not been resolved or answered properly. Very disappointed!

When you sign up they set up a meeting with you and a rep from ShipStation. My rep didn't even bother showing up to the meeting and ignored all his emails and phone calls I made over the weekend. Also their customer support line is a dead number. The platform doesn't work and all these negative reviews really were right. Seems like a fake app. Don't bother

I was over charged $249.00 for 3 labels less then 3oz each. tried to contact customer service I was on hold for over 2 hours. after that all they did pushed me to stamps.com also 3 hours on hold. and all the parent company stamps.com did is gave me an email address to postal service to file a claim. I have been with those companies for many years very bad customer service no one to talk to.

We have been Ship Station customers for years, and apart from being somewhat buggy we have never had any real problems. We changed to a Shopify store a year ago, and I need to integrate Shopify with Ship Station. Now, I realize why there are all these complaints about their customer service. I have requested a call back from a tech support person on two occasions and it hasn't happened either time. The first time they actually made an appointment to call, but never did. The second time they were supposed to email to set up an appointment. It has been a week and no email. The support we have received via Live Chat has been good, but should there be a serious problem with integration, I have no confidence that I could ever reach a live person to resolve it. When we started with Ship Station, we had an account manager who helped us set it up. Now, like every other tech company, they think its OK to skimp on live support to save money. Unfortunately for them, there are lots of other options available now, and we will be looking at alternatives.

Shipstation is terrible. If you do any significant volume, stay away! Printers and scales always disconnect from shipstation connect. When you attempt to contact support, you have to wait weeks to hear back. Chat queue is always 100 plus, so your day is over and they still haven't communicated with you. When you call, they say they will respond within 72 hours, and no one ever calls back. The only way to fix the scales and printers is to uninstall and reinstall their shipstation connect driver. Clearly there is something wrong with their software if that is the only solution.

Sadly, we have to leave the product. If you have a lot of volume, this is not a good app for you. No matter what we do, tracking information is not sent to our customers nor does it update the shopify order with the tracking information. So we end up fielding calls and questions from angry customers wanting to know where their shipping information is. Customer service simply says they can not replicate the problem? So reluctantly, we go back to the standard shopify shipping using our custom account. If you only ship a few packages a day, and can manually take the time to update your orders, then you could give it a try.
