Need to rename to "Shopify Email Sign-up". It is not a "Forms" app like the name implies and 99% of people would think. It is only an email sign-up. If you mistakenly use it for standard Forms (like the name implies) such as customer communication, you will regret it when you later realize you are not notified and cannot access the responses. Seriously - this app has possibly caused merchants more harm than good.

The way it integrates with Shopify is excellent; however, I would love to design the form and add steps within the modal before the form shows. The completion rate is usually better if you ask the visitor a question first, and once they engage by clicking a button to agree they want..., only then present the form. I would also love to be able to design how the form looks and feels. Maybe add a custom CSS and provide id/classes as a beta.

Our entire use case was to "Capture wholesale leads with customizable account request forms." Apparently, we've had 4 people submit requests, but we did not get any notification of this anywhere, and I cannot find where to get the details of their request - only the fact that they were added as customers. I contacted support, and their response was: "Upon reviewing, the Shopify form app enables you to generate personalized forms for gathering customer information. Although the app offers analytics for form submissions and customer segments, it lacks notification functionality and does not provide specific details regarding the requests made through the form. You must manually review the customer information within the app to access the details of the requests." So, the point "Capture wholesale leads with customizable account request forms" is a complete lie. It caused us four missed event requests.

I'm not sure why they don't have any CSS or allow formatting to the theme. I rarely use this app because it looks different than my entire website. All of the other Shopify apps come with custom CSS options - like Mail or the customizer. Makes no sense that we can't even use a theme font! This is such an easy update Shopify! Please fix.

The popup does not get closed in iPhone, upon complaining customer care promised to help me, they said they're working on it and they will keep me updated, they did not provide any solution its been a month and they also haven't updated me on anything terrible experience.

Updating review Feb 27, 2024 Excellent overall. Does what it says, and thank you for listening to previous feedback and making changes accordingly. Some additional functionality like opting to NOT add a default tag to customers, or allowing to inject custom styles (the default mobile styles make the form nearly unusable) would improve the experience from a shop owner's perspective. -------- Previous review: Nov 5, 2023 Largely does what it says out of the box. But extremely frustrating that it basically ignores existing customers. So if you want t add a tag for example, it'll only work for new email addresses, making this a very limited use case app.

Hi, thanks for sharing your feedback. At this stage, adding tags to an existing customer is a limitation of the Shopify Forms app. As a workaround, you may be able to create a Shopify Flow workflow: https://shopify.link/6kox that can check your existing customer list for any that meets the tag requirements, and apply the tag that way. This would work on a case by case basis however, depending on your store's use case, but is definitely worth considering. I'll be sure to pass on your feedback to our internal development team for consideration though, so that they're aware of the needs you've shared with us here in your review. You cannot access the answers for submitted forms by potential clients. Shopify Team has been contacted but they did not offer any help. Shopify Forms team was supposed to reach to us and offer help, but after 9 days, they also did not help. Do not waste time on this app. Get the alternatives.

It's called Forms, but should be called "A Form" I would like to see this app support multiple forms across the store. Right now, the app allows creation of a single form only. It does only one thing - create a pop up form to collect email sign ups on your store. A pretty useful and basic functionality, but it would be so much more helpful if more than one forms could be created.

You're able to add and remove fields to customize these forms for different purposes. So far the form builder itself is easy to set up and embed. Unfortunately, I cannot find where the completed data is stored within Shopify? The forwarding emails are incomplete and do not replicate the confirmation of data completed, and I cannot find where in Shopify this information is being stored for export. Just seems to vanish!?!

Hi, there! I'm glad to hear that you've found the forms easy to manage so far. The data collected will appear on customer profiles. Data for existing customers will be added to their profiles, and the Forms app will create a profile if the customer is new. You can find this data either under the Customers section of your admin, or by going to 'Apps > Forms', selecting a form, and selecting 'View segment' near the top right. Hi, there! Thanks for your review. After a customer accepts marketing from your online store, their email address or phone number is displayed on the Customers page in your Shopify admin. You can also find these customers by opening the app in your admin, selecting one of the created forms, and click "View segment" in the top right corner. App keeps losing custom fields, which I have to keep re-adding when I notice customer data is missing. Not reliable enough for custom forms, other than default name & email, which is already built into the platform.

I'd give 5 stars if it would send me an email with customer-submitted info. Now you have to check manually the forms app. Might need to change to another app just because of that.

After spending hours building a form with this app I tested it then found out that I do not receive notification emails when someone fills out the form! what is the point of this ? I can see the data If I go to my shopify admin - apps-forms- then select the contact that filled out the form but this is very manual and can easily be overlooked by a busy entrepreneur. I am really disappointed with this, I could expect this with a third party app builder but I chose the shopify forms app specifically to avoid this type of inconvenience.
