Absolutely unusable for any real retail operation This app is completely useless for us. We run multiple stores with a large product catalog, and Stocky simply does not offer the basic functionality any serious retailer needs. First of all, there is no proper way for multiple staff members to perform inventory counts at the same time. No scanner app, no multi-user workflow, nothing. For a store with thousands of SKUs, this makes Stocky practically impossible to use. On top of that, there is no simple POS tile that lets staff receive or transfer stock directly. Everything must be processed through orders that need to be created in advance. This workflow is absurd. We deal with hundreds of orders every single day — following Stocky’s process would require hiring several extra employees just to manage stock adjustments. It’s the most inefficient setup I’ve ever seen. For anyone running an actual retail business with real inventory needs, this app is a complete waste of time.

I have no problems creating POs, receiving or adjusting inventories. My problem lies with the label printing. This feature worked (poorly) for a few weeks and now can't find my printer. Spent an hour with customer support, they couldn't fix it. Was told it was being escalated to developers. It's been over a week and I haven't heard anything else. Even if they figure out why it can't find my printer, the label feature is terrible!!! I've had to switch to a paid app for my labels, which works great, but I'm really unhappy about having to pay for what should be a pretty basic POS feature.

Hi there, Thanks for your feedback! Definitely understand the importance of label printing workflows as it directly impacts your inventory management. I know that our Developers may still be investigating the root cause of your issue whilst also prioritizing critical fixes such as those affecting your ability to make sales or access your store especially during the Holiday period. I'm confident that they will update you on their progress as soon as they can. In the meantime, you mentioned haivng to install a paid app for your labels. If you didn't know already, we also have the Retail Barcodes Label app that is a free Shopify app that can be used to create barcode templates and print them off all in your Shopify Admin! You can download the app by going to apps.shopify.com and searching up Retail Barcodes Label. All the best, Mickey | Shopify Support

Great potential — completely neglected by Shopify Stocky has the potential to be a fantastic app, but it’s been completely abandoned. I was told it used to be a 3rd-party app that actually worked well before Shopify took it over — and sadly, they’ve done nothing to improve it. In fact, they’ve even removed some of the original features. If I were the original developer, I’d be heartbroken to see what it’s become. I’ve tried multiple times to integrate Stocky into my business, but it’s missing some really basic processes that make everyday use painfully slow and inefficient. There’s no way I could ask my team to work with it. I’ve ended up sticking with Google Sheets, which is far clearer, faster, and adaptable to my needs. Whenever I’ve contacted Shopify support about Stocky, they’ve known absolutely nothing about it. I had to push to reach two people who seemed to understand it slightly better — but even they couldn’t offer any real solutions. There’s a real gap in the market for what Stocky should be doing, but it seems it’s just not “glamorous" enough for Shopify to care about. A real loss.
Hi there - thanks for your reply. Feedback is taken very seriously at Shopify and I will definitely be passing along this sentiment to our Stocky team. I understanding how important inventory management and recordkeeping is working in the Retail space for many years. For context, our Stocky developers are constantly striving to improve the app so we would be more than happy to support in anyway we can and/or get someone with extensive Stocky knowledge to support you as well. What I would suggest is to visit our help centre at help.shopify.com adn chat with our Help Centre Assistant on the specific Stocky questions that you might have. This helps with routing you through to a Retail Specialist, someone who has extensive knowledge on Stocky. All the best, Mickey | Retail Specialist

We have loved this app, but now I cant bring in a new product into the purchase order, it cant find the item. Also, cannot do an inventory adjustment on a new product, cant find the item. I've had a case number over a week now, no solution. My receiving team is in gridlock! It has brought out warehouse receiving to a stop.
Hello there! Thanks for your reply. I'm glad you were enjoying the app prior to your issue. From what you have shared, it looks like the Stocky Developers are currently investigating your situation and are working hard to get a resolution for you. If you feel like you are not getting a response, I would suggest simply replying back to the ticket started asking for an update. Someone on the Shopify team would be happy to let you know the status of the investigation. All the best, Michael | Shopify Support

I enter a invoice and go to print labels, I get this error message. Had stocky now for a number of years, this has just happened. error message printing label extensions , the calling thread cannot access this object because of a different thread owns it , bad request. 1. Have reloaded Dymo and the drivers ( shopify tech support helped and was excellent ) 2. Have called dymo global and all is working from their end and printing correctly. 3. It has to be a stocky issue? Any help from stocky Tech department. Thanks Kevin Lee Papanui Cycles Ltd NZ

DONT USE THIS APP! Just another Shopify example of spending time to teach staff how to use, and running your operations on, only for them to deprecate features you rely on. Their response is now for you to seek out another 3rd party and pay more money. FIND ANOTHER APP NOW SO YOU DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
Hi there! Thank you so much for letting us know and sharing your feedback! Our development team are constantly trying to improve the app to be more efficient and sync better with the Shopify admin, which is why sometimes changes are necessary. However, it would be great if we could get some more context about the feature you are referring to so we can relay your feedback to the development team and so they are aware of the impact that these changes may have for our merchants. Please do feel free to edit your review with those details or you can reach out via https://shopify.link/vRnL and we can take a look for you. Thanks! - Natasha, Shopify Support

Stocky has been an extremely valuable tool for us, and we used the transfer feature on a daily basis. Thanks to our predefined min/max stock levels for each location, we were able to take full advantage of the replenish function. With the Easy Scan app, we even generated barcode labels for all products within a transfer – a real productivity boost. If this functionality is truly no longer supported in Shopify, it will create a significant additional workload for us. That’s a major concern.
Hi there! Thank you so much for letting us know and sharing your feedback! I completely understand that the previously available Transfer in the Stocky app was useful and the deprecation may have impacted some aspects of your workflow. Our development team are constantly trying to improve the app to be more efficient and sync better with the admin, which is why sometimes changes like these are necessary. However, I will absolutely relay your feedback to the development team so they are aware of the impact that these changes may have for our merchants. If you have any further feedback you'd like to share, or if you'd like some guidance on how to streamline your Transfer process, please do feel free to reach out via https://shopify.link/vRnL and we can take a look for you. Been using for 6 years without issue, however lately, data feed and particulary the vendor list is not aligned. Shopify (owners of the stocky app) have attempted to assist but largely disconnected from the problems. Become a liabilty of late, rather than a help to stock management. Update: Higher level devs got involved and have identified an error which requires a patch. Refreshing to get propoer support after going through the AI bots and low level help.
Thanks for your review. Our Developers are constantly trying to improve the app to be more efficient and sync better with Shopify. In the meantime, have you tried to do a manual sync on the app to see if that helps to resolve the issue? This is done by going to Preferences > Sync > Manual sync. This is done in times when some of the data is not aligned with your Shopify Admin. Should you have any other questions, our Support team is always ready to help. Mickey | Shopify Support

This is so frustrating, this app works well for us even with its flaws to enhance Shopifys POS limitations, but now functionality on Transfers is being moved from it and moved to Shopify Admin. I wouldn't mind if the changes were an upgrade on the app but we are losing functionality. Very Sad that development is not being put into a very useful app, and assuming that eventually all areas will be moved to Shopify Admin with limitations rather than just developing this app further.
Thanks for your review. Our Developers are constantly trying to improve Shopify and Stocky. While we can't really dive into the decisions that account for this change, your feedback is recorded for any future versions of the Stocky app. Steve | Shopify Support

Absolutely terrible. Suddenly we cannot access and it doesnt recognize our emails of logins.
Hi there! Thank you so much for letting us know and sharing your feedback! There could be a number of factors involved in login issues, with the most likely being that an administrator made changes to the user profiles, or that an older access link/URL is being used to enter the Stocky app. There is a handy resource here which provides an overview of how user profiles work, the best way to access the Stocky app for a live view, and how to reset passwords if needs be: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/shopify-pos/inventory-management/stocky/user-profiles. In order for us to take a more in-depth look we would recommend reaching out via https://shopify.link/vRnL so we can authenticate the store and investigate further for you. Please add a search function to help stores with a lot of different cartons from different brands locate the item they’re looking for. As of now we have to open each list individually until we locate the correct one, sometimes stocky will automatically scroll all the way up after going back causing us to have to scroll all the way down and relocate where we were.
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! Just to confirm I understand correctly, is this in relation to the functionality with Suppliers in Stocky where when you peruse their individual product list and then select the arrow option to go back, it takes you back to the top of the page of the Supplier's products? If so, I have relayed that to our development team and and let them know that having a search bar option there would be helpful, and thanks so much for bringing that to our attention! If that is incorrect, please feel free to edit your review here with the details of where how/the issue occurs, or you can reach out via https://shopify.link/vRnL and we can take a look for you. AGREED with recent reviews. The recent update makes it so much more cumbersome to add products to inventory and it wasn't even that great to begin with. But at least it didn't require bouncing back and forth between Shopify and Stocky. I don't understand how this function isn't of the highest priority for developers. Adding products to inventory to be able to purchase and sell them is literally the most important task for all retailers and yet it is soo incredibly time-consuming and inefficient across these platforms.
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! I understand that one of the recent changes to the app was that products must be created or imported directly within Shopify before they can be used in Stocky for purchase orders, transfers, stocktakes, and adjustments. Our development team are constantly trying to improve the app to be more efficient and sync better with Shopify, which is why sometimes changes like these are necessary. However, I will absolutely relay your feedback to the development team so they are aware of the impact that these changes may have for our merchants. If you have any further feedback you'd like to share, or if you'd like some guidance on how to streamline your product creation process, please do feel free to reach out via https://shopify.link/vRnL and we can take a look for you. This app is not suitable for you if you have more than 100 products. It looks and functions like an app that was developed by a single person in a basement. It lacks many basic features, like a simple select all button. You can’t apply filters to anything. It becomes very slow when you add more products. Some pages take more than 30 seconds to load.
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! It would be great to get some more context about exactly where you feel **select all** or more granular filter options would be helpful, as then I can relay that feedback to our development team. Feel free to edit your review here with those details, or you can reach out via https://shopify.link/vRnL and we can take a look for you. In terms of the pages loading slowly in Stocky, it would be unexpected that the app would take that long to load so some local troubleshooting may help. For example, it may help to try in another browser (if applicable - we recommend using Google Chrome), make sure your browser is fully up to date, and do a full cookie cache clear to make sure cached data isn't getting in the way of the app pulling up current data. Hope that helps and thanks so much! - Natasha, Shopify Support

This app was added by our retail team primarily to facilitate inventory counts. While it works well for a one-time year-end count, we found there to be gaps when conducting counts over time, using a perpetual inventory count system. At minimum, the CSV downloads of inventory counts should list the date the count was conducted and the stocktake number so that the downloads can be traced back to an individual count in Stocky. Preferably, users should be able to download multiple counts into one CSV, with dates and stocktake numbers listed. The app would also benefit from a report that could tell you the date an item was last counted.
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! Those are great suggestions, and I can definitely see why having the date/number of the stocktake on the CSV download would be helpful. Although you can edit the name of the CSV file to include that information on your device, I understand that this may not help if you are then printing out that file as a physical copy for review. Our development team are constantly trying to improve the app functionality, so I will absolutely relay all your suggestions to them and thanks for bringing it to our attention! If you have any further feedback you'd like to share, please do feel free to reach out via https://shopify.link/vRnL and we can take a look for you. Thanks so much! - Natasha, Shopify Support

Why haven't you guys updated this app? It has so much potential but makes everything so much more difficult. To start, at least let Stocky have the same functionality as the Shopify PO's & Transfers. This app is so painful to use. Please, please, please update this app. Please make it better. It is so close. Why make this app so much more difficult to use with less functionality than the Shopify counterparts?? Please, will you look at all the reviews below and make some common sense changes? Reach out to the people using this app and ask for their input. Shopify POS could be an absolute beast if this app was fixed and improved on.
Thanks for your review. Our Developers are constantly trying to improve the app to be more efficient and sync better with Shopify. Were there any specific functions that you feel is missing from the Stocky Purchase Orders compared to the one in Shopify Admin? Some features such as transfers may work better with some changes to Stocky settings. I invite you to reach out to our Support team at https://shopify.link/vRnL with the keyword "Stocky" to help optimize the app to meet your business needs. Mickey | Shopify Support

I can't even view the product descriptions on the purchase order. This feature should just be a given. Every time support is contacted they just mirror my concerns and say they will pass it on to the developer. I thought Shopify was the developer and that is what I was doing?!?! Do Better.
Thank you so much for your feedback! This is something that has been passed on to the Developers for review. These Developers do work for Shopify but also work on different projects other than Stocky. While I don't have an exact timeframe of when this request will be reviewed, our team works hard to improve our app functionality and usability. I understand how product descriptions help to make organizing purchase orders easier so rest assured I have reiterated this to the team. - Mickey | Shopify Support
