Absolutely unusable for any real retail operation This app is completely useless for us. We run multiple stores with a large product catalog, and Stocky simply does not offer the basic functionality any serious retailer needs. First of all, there is no proper way for multiple staff members to perform inventory counts at the same time. No scanner app, no multi-user workflow, nothing. For a store with thousands of SKUs, this makes Stocky practically impossible to use. On top of that, there is no simple POS tile that lets staff receive or transfer stock directly. Everything must be processed through orders that need to be created in advance. This workflow is absurd. We deal with hundreds of orders every single day — following Stocky’s process would require hiring several extra employees just to manage stock adjustments. It’s the most inefficient setup I’ve ever seen. For anyone running an actual retail business with real inventory needs, this app is a complete waste of time.

Great potential — completely neglected by Shopify Stocky has the potential to be a fantastic app, but it’s been completely abandoned. I was told it used to be a 3rd-party app that actually worked well before Shopify took it over — and sadly, they’ve done nothing to improve it. In fact, they’ve even removed some of the original features. If I were the original developer, I’d be heartbroken to see what it’s become. I’ve tried multiple times to integrate Stocky into my business, but it’s missing some really basic processes that make everyday use painfully slow and inefficient. There’s no way I could ask my team to work with it. I’ve ended up sticking with Google Sheets, which is far clearer, faster, and adaptable to my needs. Whenever I’ve contacted Shopify support about Stocky, they’ve known absolutely nothing about it. I had to push to reach two people who seemed to understand it slightly better — but even they couldn’t offer any real solutions. There’s a real gap in the market for what Stocky should be doing, but it seems it’s just not “glamorous" enough for Shopify to care about. A real loss.
Hi there - thanks for your reply. Feedback is taken very seriously at Shopify and I will definitely be passing along this sentiment to our Stocky team. I understanding how important inventory management and recordkeeping is working in the Retail space for many years. For context, our Stocky developers are constantly striving to improve the app so we would be more than happy to support in anyway we can and/or get someone with extensive Stocky knowledge to support you as well. What I would suggest is to visit our help centre at help.shopify.com adn chat with our Help Centre Assistant on the specific Stocky questions that you might have. This helps with routing you through to a Retail Specialist, someone who has extensive knowledge on Stocky. All the best, Mickey | Retail Specialist

DONT USE THIS APP! Just another Shopify example of spending time to teach staff how to use, and running your operations on, only for them to deprecate features you rely on. Their response is now for you to seek out another 3rd party and pay more money. FIND ANOTHER APP NOW SO YOU DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
Hi there! Thank you so much for letting us know and sharing your feedback! Our development team are constantly trying to improve the app to be more efficient and sync better with the Shopify admin, which is why sometimes changes are necessary. However, it would be great if we could get some more context about the feature you are referring to so we can relay your feedback to the development team and so they are aware of the impact that these changes may have for our merchants. Please do feel free to edit your review with those details or you can reach out via https://shopify.link/vRnL and we can take a look for you. Thanks! - Natasha, Shopify Support

This is so frustrating, this app works well for us even with its flaws to enhance Shopifys POS limitations, but now functionality on Transfers is being moved from it and moved to Shopify Admin. I wouldn't mind if the changes were an upgrade on the app but we are losing functionality. Very Sad that development is not being put into a very useful app, and assuming that eventually all areas will be moved to Shopify Admin with limitations rather than just developing this app further.
Thanks for your review. Our Developers are constantly trying to improve Shopify and Stocky. While we can't really dive into the decisions that account for this change, your feedback is recorded for any future versions of the Stocky app. Steve | Shopify Support

Absolutely terrible. Suddenly we cannot access and it doesnt recognize our emails of logins.
Hi there! Thank you so much for letting us know and sharing your feedback! There could be a number of factors involved in login issues, with the most likely being that an administrator made changes to the user profiles, or that an older access link/URL is being used to enter the Stocky app. There is a handy resource here which provides an overview of how user profiles work, the best way to access the Stocky app for a live view, and how to reset passwords if needs be: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/shopify-pos/inventory-management/stocky/user-profiles. In order for us to take a more in-depth look we would recommend reaching out via https://shopify.link/vRnL so we can authenticate the store and investigate further for you. This app is not suitable for you if you have more than 100 products. It looks and functions like an app that was developed by a single person in a basement. It lacks many basic features, like a simple select all button. You can’t apply filters to anything. It becomes very slow when you add more products. Some pages take more than 30 seconds to load.
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! It would be great to get some more context about exactly where you feel **select all** or more granular filter options would be helpful, as then I can relay that feedback to our development team. Feel free to edit your review here with those details, or you can reach out via https://shopify.link/vRnL and we can take a look for you. In terms of the pages loading slowly in Stocky, it would be unexpected that the app would take that long to load so some local troubleshooting may help. For example, it may help to try in another browser (if applicable - we recommend using Google Chrome), make sure your browser is fully up to date, and do a full cookie cache clear to make sure cached data isn't getting in the way of the app pulling up current data. Hope that helps and thanks so much! - Natasha, Shopify Support

NEW UPDATE MAKES IT EVEN HARDER AND LONGER TO INPUT PRODUCT.....CHANGE IT BACK...DO YOU EVEN CONSULT WITH CUSTOMERS?? TERRIBLE...I ACTIVELY RECOMMEND PEOPLE DO NOT USE YOUR SERVICE...CHANGE MY MIND
Hi there! Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! I understand that one of the recent changes to the app was that products must be created or imported directly within Shopify before they can be used in Stocky for purchase orders, transfers, stocktakes, and adjustments. Our Developers are constantly trying to improve the app to be more efficient and sync better with Shopify, which is why sometimes changes like these are necessary. However, I will absolutely relay your feedback to the development team so they are aware of the impact that these changes may have for our merchants. If you have any further feedback you'd like to share, or if you'd like some guidance on how to streamline your product creation process, please do feel free to reach out via https://shopify.link/vRnL and we can take a look for you. Thanks so much! - Natasha, Shopify Support

Why haven't you guys updated this app? It has so much potential but makes everything so much more difficult. To start, at least let Stocky have the same functionality as the Shopify PO's & Transfers. This app is so painful to use. Please, please, please update this app. Please make it better. It is so close. Why make this app so much more difficult to use with less functionality than the Shopify counterparts?? Please, will you look at all the reviews below and make some common sense changes? Reach out to the people using this app and ask for their input. Shopify POS could be an absolute beast if this app was fixed and improved on.
Thanks for your review. Our Developers are constantly trying to improve the app to be more efficient and sync better with Shopify. Were there any specific functions that you feel is missing from the Stocky Purchase Orders compared to the one in Shopify Admin? Some features such as transfers may work better with some changes to Stocky settings. I invite you to reach out to our Support team at https://shopify.link/vRnL with the keyword "Stocky" to help optimize the app to meet your business needs. Mickey | Shopify Support

I can't even view the product descriptions on the purchase order. This feature should just be a given. Every time support is contacted they just mirror my concerns and say they will pass it on to the developer. I thought Shopify was the developer and that is what I was doing?!?! Do Better.
Thank you so much for your feedback! This is something that has been passed on to the Developers for review. These Developers do work for Shopify but also work on different projects other than Stocky. While I don't have an exact timeframe of when this request will be reviewed, our team works hard to improve our app functionality and usability. I understand how product descriptions help to make organizing purchase orders easier so rest assured I have reiterated this to the team. - Mickey | Shopify Support

Poorly optimized product. Doesn't balance to 0 when transferring inventory. Doesn't show products sometimes that are active. Barcode scanner only works in hidden option, not in line items. All this app did was make our inventory worse.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand the importance of accurate inventory and providing a tool to help it stay organized. Some of the items you mention seem like they could be resolved based on some settings. I recommend you reach out to Support to have them help you troubleshoot what you've been experiencing. Super unhappy this app is conditioned to POS Pro subscription. Shopify is not cheap on its own - and these simple calculations within the shopify environment should be included in the package. Also given it used to be included.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. Stocky is meant to supplement the other robust features of POS Pro, all of which are helpful for stores running full-time brick and mortar locations. Many features similar to what Stocky offers are also available in the admin without a POS Pro subscription, like purchase orders, inventory, and reports. However, I understand your position and will pass along your comments to the team. - Erin, Shopify Support

Frequently glitchy, and with an extremely unintuitive workflow. Trying to get support from shopify is also extremely difficult as most of their support staff isn't familiar with the app, and will pass you around or give you incorrect advice. The most recent update was a downgrade!
Hi there, thanks so much for leaving your feedback! Our team works hard to improve our app functionality and usability, so getting observations like this from our merchants is invaluable as we make changes to it. Sorry to hear that you have experienced issues with the app, and it would be great if we could take a further look for you with a view to resolving them, and also get some context the changes you have noticed and how you feel they could be improved. Please feel free to edit your review here with those details, or to reach out via https://shopify.link/vRnL with Stocky as a keyword so our dedicated Retail Support team can assist further. They can take the details and relay your feedback to our development team. We may also be able to advise on possible workarounds or solutions, depending on the exact nature of the issue. - Natasha, Shopify Support

I have been trying my very best to use Stocky for stocktake and it just doesnt work and it tells me its been outdated since 2 April 2024. bit confused, maybe it doesnt work
Thank you for letting us know about the issue you're having with the stocktake feature. There are two methods of stocktake available: manual and barcode. The manual option will list all your products and you can adjust the quantity of each item in the list, while the barcode option will allow you to use a scanner (in keyboard mode) to scan a barcode to create a list of scanned products and input their quantities. Steps for each of these options are available on https://help.shopify.com/ by searching for "stocktake", and Support is always available through the same site if you need further help. I hope you're able to get it to work for you as it is a very powerful feature and so helpful in making sure your inventory counts are accurate.

One star, and wish it could be zero. Not efficent, lots of glitches, never any meaningful improvements. Like everything related to Shopify POS, it is overpriced, and underperforms. No customer service--every man for himself. Heed my warning, and AVOID.
Thanks for taking the time to submit your feedback. We certainly understand the need for Stocky to be an efficient app to effectively manage your store inventory. Our developers are actively working to improve the app, so your feedback is valued here. You can also contact our support team at help.shopify.com to assist you with any immediate issues, we're always here to help!

HELP. I have never used it for years because I can't even get it to link and set up. And regular Shopify Help has me on hold forever and has no idea. It won't see/find Dymo printer at all. Nothing. I need to give it permissions .. and there is no button to NOW allow Permission. Just sends you to INFO about permissions. And Shopify doesn't save the label you use in DYMO anywhere you can find it on your PC. Can someone help me set up Stocky. It should be easier than this. Please and thank you. Otherwise Stocky is of no use to us still.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback and review. Due to changes with how DYMO’s software functions, only DYMO printers that use the DYMO Label Software are able to integrate with Stocky at this time. This includes the DYMO LabelWriter 450, DYMO LabelWriter Wireless, and DYMO LabelWriter 4XL printers. If you are using the DYMO Label Software and compatible printer, you can generate a label template as described on our Shopify Help Center via the link below, and then upload it directly to the Stocky under the Preferences > DYMO section of the Stocky app. This would allow you to print labels directly from the Stocky app using your DYMO printer. DYMO Label Printing using Stocky: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/shopify-pos/inventory-management/stocky/inventory-management/dymo-printing If you do not have a compatible printer, you may consider using another app for barcode label printing, such as our free Retail Barcode Labels app which allow you to print directly from the Admin with a much wider range of printers. If you require further assistance, you can reach our 24/7 Shopify Support team who would be happy to assist you with further Stocky or label printer questions through our Shopify Help Center by visiting help.shopify.com.

Completely exhausted with this app. Although uninstalled, it still ads stock quantities under product "Incoming" and messes with our inventory and stock count. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling and have a set of tech guys to remove app intervention, with no luck. It's like Hotel California, you can get in anytime you want, but you can never leave.
Hi there! Thank you for sharing this feedback! You would usually seem stock listed under 'Incoming' when there is inventory that’s on its way to your location(s) from stock transfers or purchase orders that haven't been marked as received within Stocky, or if inventory movements are being made with another app. Uninstalling the Stocky app would remove local data, but wouldn't resolve the issue if there are still outstanding stock movements which weren't completed. Please feel free to contact our support team anytime via the Shopify Help Center for assistance: https://shopify.link/vRnL so we can get work on getting that resolved for you!

Totally useless. We, as I assume most of businesses use POS on a tablet or phone. Stocky Inventory transfer does not appear to work on mobile devices. Only thing you can do is accept all products. - what if there are some products missing in the batch? You cannot accept partially or reject partially. There are buttons to reject or accept with inputs for editing the numbers of products to reject, but they are not functional. Only thing I can do on my POS mobile device is to accept all transfered products. Unable to use Stocky and I don't see any other apps that allow inventory transfer functionality. A huge issue in Shopify POS in my opinion. Please support mobile devices.
Hi, there! Thank you for your feedback on Stocky. You should be able to reject items in an inventory transfer by following the steps outlined in this help document (https://shopify.link/mdRW). If the buttons aren't working as expected, I recommend contacting our retail support team. You can do so through your POS app by navigating to More > Support > Contact Support. Thank you again for your review! - Greta, Shopify Support
