I've been very pleased with the support of this app. The help documentation is thorough and the responses when I have a question are detailed. It's fairly intuitive to navigate the backend and clients are easily able to manage their own subscriptions.

Our subscription business was previously with Bold. We transitioned to Recharge last year, largely based on the aesthetics of their customer portal - it looks slicker and we thought it would make for a better customer experience. Unfortunately, the back-end of Recharge has been a disaster for us. Our subscribers have been unable to update their payment method since DEC 27, 2021. It is now FEB 21, 2022. That's nearly two months since we've alerted Recharge to this issue, and unfortunately the problem still persists. We receive daily emails from our subscribers (who WANT to continue) but they're unable to update to their new credit card - and they have no choice but to let the subscription expire. I continue to follow up with Recharge every other day or so, and am told that they're "working on it." They've offered up a few workarounds, none of which worked. Needless to say, it's been a pain managing irritated customers (loss of time), and it has resulted in a loss in our subscription revenue (loss of money). But more importantly, it has been a such a poor experience for our most loyal, long-term, avid users. The last two months of listening to our subscribers' frustration, and watching our subscriptions decline has left us feeling unsupported and powerless, since there's still no fix. Below is just one of the endless customer emails we've received. This experience has been everything you want to avoid as a business owner - it's embarrassing and a poor reflection on everything we've been working to build. Recharge might look better, but Bold actually worked. CUSTOMER EMAIL: I have tried three separate times to access the subscription page with no luck, always a "third party access" issue. My card I used to pay for the subscription is expiring and since I can't update it I suppose I will just let you figure that I am cancelling my subscription. Thanks for the great soap that I have had and good luck. ***MARCH 28TH 2022 UPDATE*** Unbelievably, this issue still persists -- THREE MONTHS LATER. I have been passed along to six or seven different support reps. There has been no correction - nor any indication that they have even been able to identify the issue. It's been a constant flow of "our team is looking into it", "we're getting close", "we need an API key" (which has been supplied three times now) then the next rep steps in and repeats all the same responses. It is absolutely crazy that it's been three months; you'd think someone at Recharge would acknowledge this absurdity of this, and simply dedicate some time & thought to correct the issue - but it's obvious our business doesn't matter to Recharge. We'll await the next email of "we're working on it...." ***One Year Later Update***: While I still cringe at how painful our transition was to Recharge, we've since had an incredibly positive experience working with their team that manages their Bundles product. ADOLFO & PAOLA specifically are WONDERFUL. Since they are worth five stars and my migration is still one star, I'll change my rating to three stars. Long story short, I would not recommend migrating over to Recharge from an existing subscription platform, but if you're starting fresh, Recharge is certainly an option.

Great app, clean interface, and makes the process of accepting subscriptions very easy. Support is also top-notch. Had an issue regarding my shipping set up and I was promptly assisted by Erica. She was very attentive and followed up with me in order to help me get things sorted. Awesome support, I'm really impressed! Thanks and keep up the great work!

Have been dealing with a ton of providers customer support teams while trying to do a subscription management tool transition and Recharge's Customer Support has been light years above and beyond everyone else's in terms of giving helpful, complete answers.

Excellent product with great customer service. It is easy to integrate with Shopify and other apps. I would prefer to have a phone number for customer support but Recharge tends to do well with responding to emails.

Customer service has been great! Matt A. was able to help me trouble shoot some specific issues we were having with order triggers and walked me through how our team would be able to automatically apply discounts on our subscriptions at checkout.

This app works fairly well for what it's meant for however, there are a few things I do not like about it. I'll start with what I like about it first. Pros: The Recharge customer service team is very responsive and super helpful. I was using a different subscription app previously and was in search for a better one. This one is better than what I was using but I feel that it could still offer more. Customers who are subscribed are able to add other products to a future subscription order as a one-time purchase, so that the added product is only added to one order and not all future orders. This is something the previous app I was using did not offer. Cons: There is no pickup option so that local customers can subscribe to my products and pick up their order, so I had to build a work-around. If you use the Recharge check-out there is an option to add notes to customers subscriptions that will show on future orders however, if you use the Shopify check-out this option does not exist. I find this extremely inconvenient if you need to leave a note on the customer's next order, or on all future orders - you can't. I use to use a different subscription app and decided to switch to Recharge. The migration went fairly smooth however, I kept finding several orders that randomly had free shipping and no one seemed to know how or why. I believe this issue has finally been resolved and must have had something to do with the migration I hope. When I have a store wide sale, I use an app that changes/discounts the prices of all of my products. If someone were to subscribe during a sale, all of their future orders will reflect the sale discount, as well as my subscription discount that I offer. So my team has to go through new subscriptions after every sale and adjust the prices. I believe this could be resolved by using a discount code for my sales rather than changing all of my prices however, I apply different discounts to different products so a discount code with one discount to apply to all orders doesn't really work well for me. If a product goes out of stock on my Shopify store, Recharge doesn't know and customers can still add the items as one-time purchases to future subscription orders. So you have to have a collection of products that are specifically the only products that can be added as one-time purchases, and when one goes out of stock you need to remove it from the collection. I will continue to use this app as I don't think there is a better option right now

Every time I have an issue with shopify regarding customers subscription, the team has been very attentive with an easy and straight forward explanation and directions for the company and for the customers.
