Amazing company! They gave product support on Christmas Eve! I am blown away by how professional and responsive they are. I have been using their Turbo theme for many years and have just added this updater app but it is great just like their themes. Highly recommended!

This app works well and has been able to copy most of our customizations to the new theme after an update. However, we've found that not all customizations are able to be copied, so we still have to have a developer help with theme updates, in order to keep all our customizations.

trash app with minimal to no options. These sections should be standard if anything. Out of the Sandbox is pure outdated garbage
Hi RETTRO team! Shopify's move to Online Store 2.0 does add a few additional steps to the process in the initial update to 2.0, but the good news is that this is a 1-time update, and allows you to start fresh. This means you can do away with all the old code in your theme from old apps and customizations that can be slowing down your theme, and gives you the chance to move to Online Store 2.0 and take advantage of all the great features that have been introduced to your theme! We appreciate that this can be a complicated process, and that is why our support team is here to help. Third party customizations that are added to the theme's code are always tricky to navigate, and I am glad that we were able to provide with you the correct information to help you update to the new theme version! J’utilise Theme Updater & Backups depuis plusieurs mois et j’en suis très satisfait. La mise à jour du thème se fait en quelques clics sans perdre mes personnalisations, ce qui me fait gagner énormément de temps. Les sauvegardes automatiques sont un vrai plus pour travailler en toute sécurité. Le support est réactif et professionnel. Je recommande cette application à tous ceux qui utilisent un thème premium Shopify !

We have an old Parallax theme which has limited functionality, so we got the app to add the FAQs to our product pages. I was able to add it to the product pages and it works if you want to add generic FAQs to the pages. However, to get product specific FAQs on each product page you need to add individual metafields for the sub-titles, then each question & each answer. We have close to 100 products so that means hundreds of metafields. Would great to see this feature added.

We have added the scrolling images and collection list sections from Theme Updater & Backups to our website. They definitely enhance the appearance of our website. We had some minor technical glitches with scrolling images not displaying correctly with our theme that tech support was able to resolve.

Great interface and great support. You'll never hesitate again to go through theme updates (Expanse from Archetype Themes in my case).

Theme updater is easy to use as it carries over all your custom codes to the new theme at the press of a button. I do end up with coding 'conflicts' arising each time, but you just have to look at the code and make your own judgment on which code to accept. I either kept it to the same code or selected the one for the new theme. I don't trust the Ai version. When updating it will give you a new draft copy of the theme so you don't mess up your Live one. You can always view and check the draft copy to make sure all your customisations are still in place and that everything looks ok before publishing and making it Live.
