The dedication shown in resolving our issue,and going above and beyond to help us, demonstrates Pixel Union's commitment to supporting small businesses like ours. Their Turbo theme is not just powerful and feature-rich, but backed by a team that genuinely cares about its users. The only thing it did for me is install an updated version of my current theme, which I've already done from the Shopify theme store. Everything else I have to do manually. Plus, there is no option to cancel your plan so I have to contact customer support just to cancel, which I find unnecessary. Edit: I did contact support and they were very friendly and willing to help. therefore, I am willing to upgrade the rating.

The steps you provided are very helpful" in the ticket we have open with you, but it sounds like you might need a bit more help. We were able to help with the cancelation of your subscription on the same day that you started it, but did not know that you were needing assistance with updating the theme itself, as this was not mentioned in your ticket. They say 'It will keep code edits', but it's just not working. There is no such a thing 'keeping custom code' if you custom code your theme. Basically, this app is useless for me.
Hi AgozTech team! The Theme Updater does have a "Preserve theme file customizations" feature. This feature will transfer over customizations from your older theme file to the updated theme file. This is all done in an unpublished theme file as not to disrupt anything on your storefront. From there, you will get the opportunity to review your updated theme, and once you are happy with the updated theme file, you can publish it to your storefront. It sounds like there may have been a step missed in the update process, and we have reached out to you so we can work with you on your theme update. All the best, Out of the Sandbox

I've had the Flex theme forever and use the Theme Updater all the time. I just installed the video with text section and love the functionality.

Must admit I am very disappointed of the app and service. Totally useless. The updates never go smoothly, it's deleting all my theme customizations (which I payed a lot for) and I can't use the updated theme. Most important files need to be configured manually, and I have to hire a developer to make the changes, for extra payment ($300 to be exact). It is ridiculous as a pay you each month for this app.
Hi camieandme team! The Theme Updater does identify customizations that it cannot carry over from your 2021 theme version so you can manually carry them over to your updated 2025 theme version. Customizing the theme to be right-to-left and adding third party app code and customizations does introduce a lot of additional complexity. However, our support team has been helping you with each of your questions as they come up and please let us know if there is any additional help you may need by replying to your open ticket so we can do our best to help out. This is a great companion app to the OOTS themes. We hit a few stumbling blocks updating an old theme full of little customisations, but the support team was helpful and swift - thank you, Corey! The new sections are a truly welcome feature, and choosing to install only the ones you need makes a lot of sense.

In regards to the update itself, it sounds like some previous code customizations failed to transfer to the new version. This can be custom code added to theme files or code/scripts from third party apps. All the best, Out of the Sandbox

Sustainable and Regularly Updated I've been using the Turbo theme for years, and I couldn’t imagine switching to another theme for 3 main reasons: - Proven Longevity: Turbo has been around for years, which ensures its sustainability. (It’s tempting to go for flashy themes that seem impressive at first glance, but it’s a trap. If they’re developed by a couple of guys working out of a tiny studio, they often disappear or move on after six months or a year, leaving the theme outdated with no further updates...). - Always Up-to-Date: Turbo is updated promptly to stay compatible with Shopify’s latest features and updates. - Responsive Support: Their support team is incredibly responsive and solves any technical customization issues efficiently.

Theme update did nog work on the first try. Contacted support and after 30min the issue was fixed! Great app, even better support!
