We upgraded to Tidio after reviewing the information provided on both the Shopify App Store and Tidio’s website, expecting the free trial to allow us to properly test the features and chatbot functionality before committing long-term. Unfortunately, after only one day, the bot stopped functioning the way it initially did, and many of the limitations and billing details were not clearly explained upfront. One of the biggest concerns is the inconsistency between the pricing and features shown on the Shopify App Store versus Tidio’s actual website. The plans, billable conversations, and included features are presented differently depending on where you look, which created confusion during the upgrade process. We originally switched from Chat Live to Tidio because the Growth plan appeared to offer similar functionality with additional tools and automation features. However, after discovering the actual limitations and differences in functionality after upgrading, we are now seriously considering returning to Chat Live, especially since it provides many of the same core features with clearer expectations and pricing transparency. As a business owner, transparency matters. We expected the trial experience, pricing, and feature availability to be clearly explained before upgrading. Instead, the experience felt misleading and confusing rather than straightforward and business-friendly. We hope Tidio improves transparency between their Shopify listing, website pricing, and actual feature limitations so businesses can make informed decisions before committing to a paid plan.

Great app. It has helped me along the way to build my business it really comes in useful. My costumers are very happy and they enjoy the presence of the chatbot. It is also the cheapest option out there.

We were nervous about adding a chatbot because we'd tried other tools that felt clunky, but this one was easy from day one. Our whole team picked it up fast and our customers seem to actually like chatting with it.

The system is a mess. The app was double installed or something and causes us not able to receive the message from customer. We missed the data /message of the customers. And Tidio customer service looks busy or they simply ask AI to handle the issues (which is not working).
