I used the translation app to translate my shop into both English and German. Initially, I was pleased that two languages were offered for free. Unfortunately, only a portion of my website was automatically translated, and all products and pages were omitted. Additionally, I discovered some translation gaps. Another issue arose when attempting to re-run the automatic translation, as I received a message stating that I had reached my translation limit. This was very disappointing and confusing. Have I made an error, or has my shop fallen victim to a technical glitch? I am hopeful for a resolution to this issue, as the current situation significantly impacts user-friendliness.
It is really nice, easy to use. But the max of 2 language makes it a 4 instead of 5. Would love to have a couple of more languages.
Die Benutzeroberfläche von Shopify Translate & Adapt ist intuitiv und benutzerfreundlich. Die Übersetzungs- und Anpassungsfunktionen sind gut organisiert und leicht verständlich. Ich konnte problemlos meine Produktbeschreibungen, Versandinformationen und andere wichtige Texte in verschiedenen Sprachen anpassen.
It seems to use google translate which created odd translations. I am selling clothes and it would consistently change "flat" to "apartment" in other languages. Obviously that is not what I meant. So it works but still needs a lot of double checking. Sadly you can primarily choose to translate everything, which , when I tested it, changed all my manual adjustments. The support team tried to help in this matter, and confirmed that this is not the usual, but I did have issues with needing to retranslate things. However a fix around was deleting fields to a blank in the translation and that no longer got translated. But it was not the greatest solution for me. Since the google translation didnt work great for me, i ended up making a lot manual and after a while gave up. I am sure if you have easier content, easier understandable for google, it might be useful. Also the support is great proactive in trying to help. Add-on: because of those difficulties, I disabled now the translate app. But now the entire page reflects in that weird translated german even though my default language is English! I reached out to the support and they explained that when you use any translation app, that your translation gets saved in your shopify store. So my only fix was talking to shopify who helped me to take it down again (however, this took 2 days until it was fixed. Not great when the language is so wrong translated)
Nach ca. 2 Dutzend mal laden, scheint es zu funktionieren. Schade dass man Änderungen nicht direkt einfügen kann, sondern diese im Produkt direkt machen muss, bevor eine Übersetzung erfolgt. Und die Frage die sich mir noch stellt ist, ob die rechtlichen Texte (z.b. AGB) so übersetzt werden dass diese rechtlich verbindlich auch im Ausland gelten

Wish the auto translate had support for more languages
It is good, but why only two language automatic translations? We can even pay to have more languages!
It's a great app, especially given that it is free. Translations aren't always perfect, particularly in specialised stores like mine. Would love it if it were just slightly more user-friendly, especially for novices like myself!
It works great, the only reason why I don't give it 5 stars is because the app only allows you to translate 2 languages. I think that there should be at least 3 languages.
Ma boutique est dans un domaine particulier, avec des termes particuliers et la traduction automatique est assez précise! Je suis très satisfaite de cette application!
Great enough for a free app! of course would be great if we can translate into more languages instead of the current 2
