1-Star (Wish I Could Give 0) – Deceptive Billing & Unauthorized Charges I canceled my subscription two months ago, yet I’m still being charged 325/ month. When I signed up I picked the 39/month Business plan, but the platform automatically enabled a hidden "Volume Upgrade" option—something I never noticed or consented to. Because of this deceptive practice, I was charged over $300/month for four months before realizing what happened. Even after canceling, the charges continue. This is predatory behavior—shame on this company for exploiting customers with sneaky auto-upgrades and ignored cancellations. I’ve already taken action by: Reporting to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) Disputing all charges with American Express Filing complaints with relevant consumer protection agencies

We want to clarify that our Auto-Upgrade feature is not enabled by default— it must be manually activated. It's designed to ensure your website stays fully translated even if your word count exceeds the plan limit, and we make this clear during setup and in our documentation. That said, we understand it can sometimes be overlooked, and we're always happy to review it and check further with our customers to see exactly what happened. Regarding the ongoing charges, it appears that your subscription was not fully canceled, which is why billing continued. Canceling on Shopify or uninstalling the app doesn't automatically cancel your subscription with Weglot, as billing is handled separately. This app translates everything - even what others don't - and the support is very reactive and effective ! App is easy to install, to use and the support answers any question quickly and also fixes issues in our site if needed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding support experience! Weglot’s support team (especially Manon) has been absolutely amazing. They helped me customize my translation setup down to the URL level, patiently walked me through regex exclusions, optimized my word count usage, and fixed multiple Shopify Markets issues and page visibility issues. It’s rare to get such hands-on help these days. Huge thanks to the team!

Best Translation app on the market. You can custom really everything single asset on your website. Support is outstanding, and by outstanding, I mean truly above what you can expect. It's like having an expert taking hours to help you.

This app makes it very easy to keep your translations in check. The visual editor makes all the difference. Its super easy to delegate translations without the need to create additional shopify staff positions. Their support is always surprisingly quick and very helpful. Any issue I had has been fixed within a few hours. Zero complaints

Working perfectly! App is easy to use and very versatile. I had some troubles with the translations of my XML feeds, but Will from Weglot got it working by making some adjustments on their end. Thanks for that!

The app is easy to install and to use. Our plan got upgraded automatically once we reached the words limit, so now it is quite pricey for us. Unfortunately we're on the annual plan and can't cancel easily. We had a problem with the language switcher on mobile, but the support team was very helpful and quick in fixing it. Thanks and 5 stars for that.

The setup of the Weglot is complicated when you already use various other apps that need to be translated. However the customer service is top notch and very responsive. Special thanks to Antoine who really exceeded my expectations in terms of timely resolution of complex issues. The quality of translation is quite good and requires significantly less manual translation compared to shopify free app.
