Tooo expensive!!!

WEBSITE DELETED!! DONT USE THIS! I deleted the Weglot app on my 8-figure store and my ENTIRE WEBSITE was deleted. I lost over $100K+ because of this APP. DON'T USE THIS APP! WEGLOT WILL DELETE YOUR WEBSITE

This doesn't affect your website, only the translation. Indeed, after three months of complete inactivity with Weglot, i.e. without any API request to Weglot, the project is automatically soft-deleted as you can see in our terms by following the link below https://www.weglot.com/terms I've restored the project, and all your translations are findable in your project. I've also sent you, in an email, a backup of all the translations present in your project. Don't install this app, super expensive, and also I have deleted it and it still on my site. CAUTION: WILL LEAVE CODE AFTER UNINSTALLING!!!

About the leftover code, note that now Weglot is able to remove all its code related to the Shopify API automatically. Often bug for the price translation. NOT recommended at all! Very stupid app

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. SO MUCH DAMAGE ON MY STORE AND INCOME LOSS!!! They don’t take any accountability for the mess they make. My website is down already for 7 days!! I am receiving an error because they messed up my DNS completely and now globally my website is down. I contacted my domain name provider and Shopify and they did everything they could and all settings are correct, but Weglot still holds some kind of access to my website which causes the error even though I deleted everything and completely uninstalled and removed my profile with them. They don’t take any responsibility and just say it’s not their fault and I need to resolve with Shopify. IT IS 10000% THEIR FAULT and Shopify is also at a loss and can’t do anything further except determine wether they should still allow Weglot on their App Store! As soon as I untoggled the option for Weglot to use subdirectories my website was down and nothing has brought it back yet. They still have not resolved it to this day and every day goes by with us losing a lot of money.

We dont recommend Weglot. Its really unstable and has much bugs and make MUCH EXTRA WORK. When you make translations, they dont appear in the webshop. We sell globally high quality electronics and it makes it harder so we are trying to find an another service.

My website is down due to the instructions of weglot. For the subdomains they said to make changes in DNS which has caused my erbosteste not work anymore. I can’t get any sales anymore. I have submitted tickets since yesterday and haven’t received even one reply. I don’t know if I should sue for damages as I wasn’t informed about these consequences.

The app start pushing you to increase plan constantly even if you don't put anything new translated words increase. Rather than this is not comfortable to put manual translation because is necessary to check and correct some translation.

Terrible customer service. We had a small bug and the solution they offered deleted all our manual translations and thus made weeks of work go to waste. Also slows down your website a LOT.

Does not translate the checkout page anymore since Shopify rolled out the One page checkout. Did not even bother notify the customers about it. No solutions found, team useless. Now the checkout page displays in French for all our worldwide customers. Great !

About the CSS, Weglot tries to only replace the text into your translated version so our product shouldn't break any CSS on your translated version. Note that sometimes adjustments can be required depending on the way the theme has been developed and the way Weglot works. We are not able to find any conversation with our Support team about the specific behavior you're experiencing. In this case, be sure that our Support team is always glad to provide help to make the experience with our product as good as possible. About the checkout, for your information, checkout pages won't be detected by Weglot as they belong to another domain. These pages are hosted by Shopify itself, translations are directly handled on its side, as translations are actually coming from the theme. That's why the language switcher isn't visible on the checkout pages. Weglot, by its side, allows displaying the checkout in the right language for the visitor, regarding the language used on the page before the checkout, thanks to a mechanism we manage. Weglot just allows the checkout to be displayed in the theme language related to the language used on the page before the checkout. It means that the translation isn't managed by Weglot, but Weglot just calls the theme in another language. Honestly the worst Shopify app I've ever used. It makes your store very slow and it has so many issues. The translations are very off, they don't offer check out translation so there is really even no point, very frustrating to use

About the performance => Note that the load time can be longer the first time Weglot translates the content. Indeed, Weglot translation mechanism is working like this: It scans the original content of your website (HTML file) After the scan, Weglot parses (read and cut) the elements between HTML tags. It automatically translates this original content to its translated equivalent. During the translation process, Weglot is also storing these contents in your Translation List available in your Weglot Dashboard On the second visit to the page, the time load should be way better. About the translation => We try to provide the best automatic translation possible. However, we know this is really hard to fit this translation to all our user's contexts, so that's why we provide you with different options to review those translations: - To Manually edit the automatic translations if you want to. We provide you with some useful tools in order to do that See > https://support.weglot.com/article/128-how-to-edit-my-translations - To add some specific translation rules in order to indicate if you want a (group of) word(s) to be never or always translated in a specific way. Been using this app for years, but we decided eventually to uninstall it. The app is extremely expensive in comparison with much more modern apps that offer 5 to 10 times more languages and words in much less price. Very limited in regards to deep machine translations. The support/company's management seems to be careless to respond, if they ever responded at all.
