I would have given it 0 stars if that were possible. This app was recommended by an agency, but they clearly haven’t used it much. Translating our mega menu is impossible. The default translations are catastrophic, Google Translate does a better job. And when you need to make changes, it’s only word by word. In short, don’t waste your time or your money.

La pire app que j'aie utilisée. Pour qu'elle fonctionne, il faut changer les DNS de ma boutique. Résultat : quand j'ai désinstallé l'app, et que j'ai voulu remettre les DNS d'origine, cela a créé un problème technique majeur qui a rendu ma boutique inaccessible pendant une journée, et m'a fait perdre beaucoup de temps pour que je comprenne quel était le problème et comment le régler. Shopify ne devrait pas permettre à des apps d'imposer des changements de DNS comme le fait Weglot.

UPDATE - MY WORST IN FIVE YEARS OF SHOPIFY The app does not work with shopify markets, I advertise for nothing, the site is not stable and the check out broken most of the time because of weglot. The customers service says it works. If I could put less than 1 star I would do it. Minus 100 stars. Stop sending useless emails, contact me to build a real solution. That crap for 400 euros / month ?????? ____ Worked well the first time. Stopped because expensive. Reinstalled and then a nightmare began. Super low level customer service just copy pasting helplessly the instruction of the website. DISAPPOINTING for such a budget !

It's the worst app I've used. The website loads with no texts, then all the text appears after 3-4 seconds. Also, I deleted the app and since I have to change my DNS a records for this tool, now my website is not working at all... I never saw an app with a worst setup and execution. And for $32, is a rip off.

As soon as we became aware of the issue, we reached out right away and offered to assist directly with the setup to get things resolved quickly. However, we didn’t receive any response to our multiple messages, which made it difficult for us to help further. It seems the issue occurred at the installation stage, so Weglot never actually had the opportunity to run on your site. 1-Star (Wish I Could Give 0) – Deceptive Billing & Unauthorized Charges I canceled my subscription two months ago, yet I’m still being charged 325/ month. When I signed up I picked the 39/month Business plan, but the platform automatically enabled a hidden "Volume Upgrade" option—something I never noticed or consented to. Because of this deceptive practice, I was charged over $300/month for four months before realizing what happened. Even after canceling, the charges continue. This is predatory behavior—shame on this company for exploiting customers with sneaky auto-upgrades and ignored cancellations. I’ve already taken action by: Reporting to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) Disputing all charges with American Express Filing complaints with relevant consumer protection agencies

We want to clarify that our Auto-Upgrade feature is not enabled by default— it must be manually activated. It's designed to ensure your website stays fully translated even if your word count exceeds the plan limit, and we make this clear during setup and in our documentation. That said, we understand it can sometimes be overlooked, and we're always happy to review it and check further with our customers to see exactly what happened. Regarding the ongoing charges, it appears that your subscription was not fully canceled, which is why billing continued. Canceling on Shopify or uninstalling the app doesn't automatically cancel your subscription with Weglot, as billing is handled separately. L'abonnement ainsi que la résiliation de l'abonnement ne s'effectuant pas au sein de l'app dans Shopify, cela necessite une action complémentaire au sein du Dashboard Weglot. Vous avez normalement été notifié de cela. Je constate que vous aviez désinstallé l'application depuis quelques mois et dans la mesure ou vous n'avez pas utilisé Weglot depuis cette date, il est normal de ne pas payer pour le service. J'ai procédé remboursement de ces mois et une preuve vous a été partagée par email. Je reste à votre disposition pour tout renseignement complémentaire et vous souhaite une excellente journée. Terrible app. You manually translate content on their platform, but the changes never reflect in your store. Their support team constantly tries to shift the blame, claiming it's an issue with Shopify or other apps, but never their fault. Truly disappointing.

This doesn't affect your website, only the translation. Indeed, after three months of complete inactivity with Weglot, i.e. without any API request to Weglot, the project is automatically soft-deleted as you can see in our terms by following the link below https://www.weglot.com/terms I've restored the project, and all your translations are findable in your project. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. SO MUCH DAMAGE ON MY STORE AND INCOME LOSS!!! They don’t take any accountability for the mess they make. My website is down already for 7 days!! I am receiving an error because they messed up my DNS completely and now globally my website is down. I contacted my domain name provider and Shopify and they did everything they could and all settings are correct, but Weglot still holds some kind of access to my website which causes the error even though I deleted everything and completely uninstalled and removed my profile with them. They don’t take any responsibility and just say it’s not their fault and I need to resolve with Shopify. IT IS 10000% THEIR FAULT and Shopify is also at a loss and can’t do anything further except determine wether they should still allow Weglot on their App Store! As soon as I untoggled the option for Weglot to use subdirectories my website was down and nothing has brought it back yet. They still have not resolved it to this day and every day goes by with us losing a lot of money.

We dont recommend Weglot. Its really unstable and has much bugs and make MUCH EXTRA WORK. When you make translations, they dont appear in the webshop. We sell globally high quality electronics and it makes it harder so we are trying to find an another service.

My website is down due to the instructions of weglot. For the subdomains they said to make changes in DNS which has caused my erbosteste not work anymore. I can’t get any sales anymore. I have submitted tickets since yesterday and haven’t received even one reply. I don’t know if I should sue for damages as I wasn’t informed about these consequences.

The app start pushing you to increase plan constantly even if you don't put anything new translated words increase. Rather than this is not comfortable to put manual translation because is necessary to check and correct some translation.

Terrible customer service. We had a small bug and the solution they offered deleted all our manual translations and thus made weeks of work go to waste. Also slows down your website a LOT.
