I was using the native Shopify translate tool at first which A) limited you to two languages and B) translates with Google translate, which in the age of AI no longer cuts it. Weglot provides much better quality translations, much more customisations and has high quality and responsive customer support. As I sell internationally, I see the money spent is an investment to boost conversion rather than a cost.
I've uninstalled weglot app but still be charged in the next month.

Nous avons pris contact afin de mieux comprendre les points soulevés et d’apporter des corrections, notamment sur certaines traductions spécifiques de votre site. Des ajustements ont été effectués de notre côté, mais nous n’avons malheureusement pas eu de retour par la suite pour continuer à affiner les traductions ensemble. Weglot propose plusieurs outils pour améliorer la qualité des traductions, notamment les règles de glossaire, l’édition manuelle et des options basées sur l’IA, permettant un contrôle précis du contenu traduit. Funktioniert wunderbar, toller, schneller Kundenservice. Bin bisher sehr zufrieden.
I would have given it 0 stars if that were possible. This app was recommended by an agency, but they clearly haven’t used it much. Translating our mega menu is impossible. The default translations are catastrophic, Google Translate does a better job. And when you need to make changes, it’s only word by word. In short, don’t waste your time or your money.

La pire app que j'aie utilisée. Pour qu'elle fonctionne, il faut changer les DNS de ma boutique. Résultat : quand j'ai désinstallé l'app, et que j'ai voulu remettre les DNS d'origine, cela a créé un problème technique majeur qui a rendu ma boutique inaccessible pendant une journée, et m'a fait perdre beaucoup de temps pour que je comprenne quel était le problème et comment le régler. Shopify ne devrait pas permettre à des apps d'imposer des changements de DNS comme le fait Weglot.

Pour clarification, Weglot ne modifie jamais les DNS d’une boutique sans action volontaire du marchand. Certains réglages DNS peuvent être proposés dans le cadre d’intégrations avancées, mais ils sont toujours optionnels, documentés et réversibles. La désinstallation de l’application n’entraîne aucune modification automatique des DNS. Nous comprenons néanmoins à quel point une indisponibilité de site est pénalisante et regrettons de ne pas avoir pu vous accompagner à ce moment-là. Nous n’avons malheureusement pas réussi à identifier votre compte pour analyser précisément la situation. Weglot has been my go-to translation solution for over 5 years. It’s simple to use, supports both automatic and manual translations, and integrates flawlessly with WordPress, Shopify, Squarespace, and more. Very easy to set-up and very helpful support - they reply within minutes (on workdays). I believe for final polished translations they still need to be reviewed, LLMs unfortunately are not there yet. Hopefully they will keep improving, specially translate more within context of where the translation is, about what it is, what page/product is about.

Weglot makes managing a multilingual website much easier. The integration is smooth, the interface is straightforward, and it saves a lot of time when working across different languages. Customer support has also been very good: responsive, helpful, and efficient whenever I had a question. Overall, a reliable solution that I would recommend.

Weglot est un excellent outil de traduction, simple à utiliser et très efficace. Mais ce qui fait vraiment la différence, c’est leur service client : toujours disponible, réactif et prêt à aider jusqu’à ce que le problème soit résolu. On sent qu’ils se soucient vraiment de leurs utilisateurs, ce qui est très rassurant quand on gère un site e-commerce.
