Weglot ‑ Translate Your Store

What we need these days is people who solves problems. And Weglot app and the team do that. The team is also fast in responding and solving, an important thing when you are focused on your store and business and expect third party solutions to match your workflow and expectations. I came up with a few issues in the path of translating and setting up my store with Weglot, and the team helped me efficiently in every case, with a solution. All issues were/are typically things when working with translations, external apps, different themes, etc. The app works perfect and it's fast. Regarding the translation, you need to be aware that not even Google or the best AIs on the market are perfect when it comes to translating. The app do really well the automatic part and is super easy/friendly to the add the manual layer of your business/industry. I expect Weglot to keep evolving in this sense and also to add new features in the future. They are doing a great job!

This app is good for translating your website to different languages using Google Translate. Therefore, expect clunky and weird translation as you would expect from Google Translate. This may work for some, but not for others. You may want to look into just manually translating your key pages to sound more professional. Otherwise, don't bother paying for this app as your customers can use Google Translate for free. Customer service is knowledgeable and responsive. Be careful not to get billed for automatic upgrades. Write to them that you don't want to get billed for automatic upgrades. I fell for this. Never again. Note that this will mean some parts of your pages may not get translated. This next one is my biggest pet peeve. It is important to note that as you make changes to your site (not new additional content; just any changes), they will store all the content (old and new) and translate absolutely everythinggggg which causes your wordcount (therefore pricing) to go way way up to the point that it sounds unreasonable. We had to go through each page and delete the old translation, which is very tedious. Just by doing that, it reduces the wordcount from 600,000 to below 200,000 for 5 languages. They translated everything including all URLs, all size options, all countries, all searches that customers did, all the dotted lines, dates, discontinued products, SKUs, and also the same translation stored more than once. Imagine all these little stuff gets multiplied by however many languages you offer. A way to avoid this is to do the tedious task of "blocking" translation. All in all, good app to have if you need translation and don't mind clunky translation, but be very careful with the points mentioned above: overcharging, weird-sounding translation, and wordcount calculation. It can get expensive very quickly. Weglot team: please take this feedback to better your offering. Translating every single little thing (old and new) breaks down the integrity of your brand. Give customers the courtesy of upgrade advance notification. You have so much potential but practices like this make you look bad.

Let me start; these guys are thieves! We canceled, uninstalled, had support cancel, and they keep charging us over and over. My bank will not help. Instead, they want us to cancel the card when these thieves keep charging us. Be warned they are in it for the money and not the support. Also, the translation is mostly lazy and have to be redone by a professional. Every since BERT, Google knows what authentic translations look like.

I changed from Langify to WeGlot, mainly because finding translations to edit in Langify was a drag. WeGlot also offers an Online Editor which is the best for small edits. The dashboard is really simple and efficient. I did encounter problems but the WeGlot team responded quickly during office hours. Moreover in time they have been doing great work in making the app even more user-friendly. It took a lot of time to switch as I was also switching themes at the same moment but once settled in it is such a relief to have WeGlot. This is a game changer. If you need to translate your store in multiple languages based on your visitor IDs you probably won't find anything better than Weglot. This is an all in one suite that helps you translate from text to images, until the last piece of content of your store.

I love this app, really easy to use. You can do manual editing, which is very useful for me as I want to use a different tone in French. I am using it for 1 language for now. Guillaume has been great in helping me trouble shooting, he gave great advises. Highly recommend this app. Thanks

A great app, even though the automatic translation from English to Finnish had some funny versions :) Nevertheless, a big thank you for the support team for all the help during the process. Without any previous coding experience I was able to have my store translated in a few days.

Great, useful and easy to use application allowing to add other languages and adjust them to the perfect forms in a visual editor or from dashboard where you can find metadata and alt texts as well. The team is patient and helpful. They never let me down when in need. Totally recommend this app!

This app is amazing. And the support is above and beyond any other apps I have encountered. The translation is near perfect, which is rare with most auto-translation apps. If you are looking for not only a great translation app, but also support that is head and shoulders above others, then this is the app you need for your site. :) would rate 6 stars! :-D
