This app previously worked seamlessly. As of last week they have started adding a customer number which in turn adds around 2 minutes more work to every transaction - a massive setback. We now need to edit the customer name as the invoice will look very unprofessional with (Shopify Customer 123456789). Not sure what the devs were thinking when they made this change? In addition, the integration is now quite buggy - some transactions don't come across in spite of accurate part numbers and inventory etc. Super annoying as this was a great product not so long ago

Used to be 5 stars as it did everything I needed. Now 4 stars as annoyingly of today it assigns a shopify customer number to every customer which I then have to remove from Xero afterwards.

Great app for our new store, however be warned... this was on a brand new store. Problem 1: On our other store, I'm migrated to Shopify from Pinnacle Cart, importing over 180K orders going back to 2011 as historical data. Then, I enabled this app and orders going back to 2011 (past our xero limit) started trying to export to Xero and the exports showing errors. The instruction from Bold was to move back the Xero limit date so invoices can export. I thought the app would have just import orders from when it was installed going forward, or you could set a date. Now with no bulk 'delete' or 'void' option in Xero, I had to purchase a third party Chrome app to batch void thousands of invoices in 200 invoice batches. Problem 2: The app assumes (and only allows) that all sales should go to one Chart of Account in Xero (you choose which Chart of Account to use). However, we need to be able to assign different product types (General, Subscriptions and Donations) to different Chart of Accounts in Xero. So, every morning I have to spend up to an hour in Xero changing invoice line items to the correct Chart of Account... a real pain.

I've been using this for a few months now to pull all my orders on to Xero, there have been some errors occurring recently with pulling through the refunds. I contacted the team and David fixed the issue for me in a few hours. Great service and saves me so much work!!

This app works well. Easy to reconcile invoices, payments and transaction fees. I use stock and it works well for the stocked items, except Xero doesn't support back orders, which isn't a Bold issue, but a Xero one. However once I have the stock in it's easy to manually transfer the order to Xero. TBH I'm amazed at the price!

This app is awesome, it has saved me a ton of time and potential mistakes in crossing my data over! Highly recommended. Had an issue on my settings recently that I had been unable to resolve myself, David sorted it out for me in 2 clicks!

Does not actually synchronise your stock levels. It only tells Xero that you have sold an item. It's blatant false advertising. Also there is nothing in the way of customising how invoices are sent to Xero. You can only send them as paid, which only creates more work for our accountants.

We are happy with Xero in general and have been using it for over two years now. However, since late March, our sales(retail and online) are not transferring down from Shopify which is a massive problem. Bold support has been absolutely terrible, keep saying they are looking into it but have no idea when the issue may be resolved if ever. Shopify point to Bold and Xero point to Bold. In the mean time we have asked them all for an easy way to get sales down manually so that the accounting side of our business can function but nothing from anyone. It is a huge undertaking to change accounting software at this stage..not really sure what to do but we will need to make a call soon.

Initially I thought the App worked well however this is not the case at all. We implemented the app through Shopify to bring all our sales into Xero. The challenge is that the sales cannot be allocated to Item codes within Xero which means the information coming in cannot be reconciled correctly. I asked Bold who developed the App to look at this and they said "it is in the pipeline and they have no solution at the moment". So if you want to dump sales into a general sales account fine. But if you wish to allocate against certain product codes in Xero it is currently useless and has now created a massive amount of work for my team when we thought it would reduce it. Very disappointed.

I tried this app on my new GorgeousCreatures.com.au site. Support is slow, vague and generally unhelpful. No response from my last email with screen shots and request for help for days. I used this app for three weeks then it made such a mess of my accounts that I had to disconnect and paid my accountant many hundreds of dollar to fix up the duplicates and issues that this app created. It added products to Xero including the tax, the tax rates did not come over accurately for freight account code and Bold support and an app integration specialist could not work out why. You can only select one sales account code as well and I have about 20 different categories that I track so it took massive amounts of editing in Xero to fix the poor data coming through from the Bold app. I had to remove and redo payment to be able to edit the freight tax code for the correct country. Xero is a wonder tool but the Bold app does not work well enough to talk to Xero. It is going to be easier for me to do in manually.

We moved our three MELANOBOOST stores from MYOB to Xero and couldn't be happier. It integrates perfectly and has resulted in much higher efficiency. The reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is simply because our brand runs 3 stores and we can't sync them all into the one Xero account at the same time. They have to be synced manually every day. I'm told the developers are working on this so hopefully there's a solution soon! Thanks team!

NEVER AGAIN! This software does not do what they say it will do. You can not use it to write Purchase Orders and track inventory because it doesn’t work with Shopify. They refuse to help you until you have connected your bank account to the software and become a paying memeber. Then once you do that they tell you it shouldn’t be used to track the inventory. You can only use Shopify OR Xero which means you could oversell in Shopify if you choose Xero to track your inventory. This makes handling a large inventory impossible. ADDITIONALLY we tried to cancel this subscription for at least 3 months. They told us we needed to do X. We did. Then we would get billed again next month. They told us we needed to do Y. We did. We still got billed. So now they conned well over $100 from us for software we never used. DO NOT USE XERO!!!

Great app! Eliminates a spreadsheet for me - thanks. It would be nice if there was a bit more of a log of all the entries created in Xero (especially for new users; I had to hunt around a bit to find out what the app had done. It did do everything just fine). My spreadsheet did calculate the PayPal fees too (but it was not always correct!). Shopify fees too don't come across automatically. Turning on the email notification means I had to build an email rule to ignore the 'successes' (especially if no sales), but I couldn't find a way to only get notification of failures, which would be nice. This app certainly saves time..

Very Useless app. Orders are exported as paid, and there is no way to reconcile actual bank deposits than constantly removing & redo the fake payments created when exporting data. Merchant fees are exported as a spend money and even if the account chosen should be GST on purchase, it is exported as BAS excluded. They tell you payments can be reconciled against a clearing account, but they can only create a duplicate of receive money transaction instead of a spend money transaction that will balance the clearing account to 0.

App does its job most of the time, but is buggy, disconnects randomly, makes your accounting cumbersome, and keeps introducing new limitations. The latest price plan change is a joke, as functionality does not justify paying that much money - we will be looking for a better offering.
