Highly impressed by the performance and results of Yoast SEO Premium for WordPress; we were excited to add Yoast for Shopify too. It works, as we expected, like a charm. Have to commend the Yoast support team, specifically Sid, who was ready at hand with superb advice even over weekends both before and during the installation, guiding us with detailed explanations and screenshots. When we needed a theme code inspection and change, the development team delivered a highly impressive lightning-fast solution on top. All in all, we’re extremely satisfied with Yoast on both platforms. It's easy to use, with a lot of SEO benefits. As another review stated, Yoast support will not leave you until you are fully satisfied.

The tool is easy to use and even within a few weeks I'm starting to see an impact. As well as this the support is really really good.. it's hard to know what to trust in terms of data and errors so the support & academy are just as valuable as the underlying tool in navigating all this

The app definitely teaches you a lot about SEO. You still need to enter everything yourself, it's not going to do it for you- as it shouldn't, but it's very helpful with letting you know when you're doing something right- or wrong. I had a few questions, and "Sid" of the support team got back to me in great detail, with screenshots etc. I like it when support is that thorough, and not just with a few sentences.

Before installing this app, I read the reviews. The common theme amongst the 3-star and lower reviews were issues with theme changes. Our experience wasn't much different. Let me say the support team has been incredibly responsive to my questions and support requests. If it were simply a matter of the helpfulness of the people at Yoast, we would have kept the app. Unfortunately though, our custom theme is such that every time we made a change, something kept Yoast from functioning as it should. It became a 'tail wagging the dog' situation that required too much time and effort to manage. I have Yoast for WordPress and LOVE IT. They definitely know what they're doing with SEO, but unfortunately, it isn't a good fit for my Shopify store.
UPDATE: We'd like to inform you (and anyone reading this review) that as of May 16th, 2023, our app offers the option to be installed without removing conflicting code. As a result, our app does not modify your theme code the same way as before, and though that reduces the benefits of using our app (no Yoast output in the source), it also allows you to use the Yoast SEO analysis options for content optimization regardless if our app is integrated with your theme or not. Therefore, if you wish you can use our app for content optimization only, without full theme integration. Thank you for sharing your feedback, we sincerely appreciate it. To your point about the common theme among the 3-star and lower reviews, it’s important to note that almost all eight of those (except for one in April ‘22) were shared in the first 3 months after we launched the app in January '22. This is because after launching the app there were a few issues that our dev team had to address. Since then we have continued working hard to successfully and consistently earn 5-star reviews. We do understand that there is an issue with our app and the custom theme changes on your store that is taking too much time and effort to manage. We respect your decision that the Yoast SEO for Shopify app is not a good fit for your store, but please keep in mind that we are always developing and improving it. Simply the best app for SEO with an amazing extra that is the SEO Academy. By following their tutorials, in a few weeks I got incredible results on Google. Moreover the Yoast SEO support is definitely one of the best I ever experienced. Highly recommended.

I use Yoast for optimising content. Yoast provides easy steps to increase SEO for all pages. I like the easy integration, support and the wealth of information available... The app is amazing and easy to use. The tech support is second to none. They go out of their way to answer all your questions superbly.

Yoast is great other than whenever i'm typing the descriptions it will sometimes randomly delete or move letters throughout the paragraph.

Hello, I uninstalled the application in my store but I still have a lot of code, how can I remove the code? Thank you. Gracias excelente soporte.
Hi there, thank you for your question. We have a dedicated support team that can be reached 24/7 at [email protected] (and via live chat). Please do reach out to us with any additional questions or concerns, we are happy to help. That being said, leftover code usually remains if the app is uninstalled without completing the right process, which requires first deactivation of the app to remove theme modifications and then deletion of the app. Or if another (usually SEO-related) app interfered with the process. If you haven't already, please reference our page with Yoast SEO app uninstall instructions: https://yoast.com/help/remove-yoast-code-from-theme-in-shopify/ Here are next troubleshooting steps to take: 1. Re-install the Yoast SEO app on your site. 2. Instead of "Get a subscription," click on "Remove theme modifications.". Please wait until the process is finished. 3. Click on Go back to Apps and then Remove the app again. Once you've done this, the Yoast SEO code should be completely removed. In case you have another SEO app installed, it would be best to remove that first before proceeding with the steps above, as other SEO apps may interfere with the proper uninstallation process of Yoast SEO. I use Yoast for optimising content. Yoast provides easy steps to increase SEO for all pages. I like the easy integration, support and the wealth of information available. The only thing missing is checking for broken links.

I don't usually take the time out to leave reviews unless a product/service is like no other. I have been using Shopify for my e-commerce store since 2017 and have tried and tested a few SEO apps over the years. There has not been one like Yoast SEO and now can confirm that this is the ultimate SEO app in the market. What I particularly like about this app is its ease of use and their customer service; their response time is quick and efficient. The Yoast SEO team truly go above and beyond in answering your questions and provide a bespoke solution to your store. Having said that, I have learnt world class holistic SEO practices from their SEO courses available at Yoast Academy. I was so invested and convinced by their resources as it provided me with results that I could have never imagined of. For example, a lot of my products were listed on Google's 1st page and were also listed on Google's Shopping tab, within a matter of few weeks of after implementing their app and following teachings from their courses. As a result, I upgraded to their premium plan without hesitation. The courses are thorough and will teach you the core basics you need to know of SEO. I had no knowledge of SEO when I first started and always felt overwhelmed when I tried to learn from other apps and resources I tried. Taking their courses was the best decision I ever made for it taught me valuable skills of SEO best practices that I can apply in any case or scenario. It broke down each pillar of SEO; on page SEO, technical SEO and off page SEO and how to use them all together for quick and reliable SEO success. If there is any app you want to install for your online success or invest in to learn SEO; make it Yoast SEO because you will be killing two birds with one stone. My only complaint is that I wish they had launched Yoast SEO on Shopify sooner as it would have saved me a lot of time, effort and money that I had wasted trialing other apps trying to achieve what I achieved with Yoast SEO within a few months of being committed and dedicated to the app. Definitely recommend!
