Yotpo: Product Reviews App

Avoid this app if you ever want to grow your business to more than 25 orders a month. Seems like others have the same issue. Yotpo starts off with a free version then try to pressure you into a huge contract! Way too expensive. They want to bill me over $1000 a month for this app when shopify has one for free that offers Google SEO. They charge you for every email that goes out. If you have integration to other online stores through shopify apps you are billed for those emails as well even though the customer did not order on the shopify site. Google offers free product review star ratings, but if you want to have your yotpo product reviews (not site) to show up then they make you buy their pro version. That is 8k up front for the year. They will say well it's 15k but we are giving you a deal. Alternative is to add something much less expensive like trust pilot. You will spent a fraction of what YOTPO pushes you into without any contract. Go with TrustSpot and the google app and your costs will be a fraction with the same results.

This app is excellent! Easily installed and immediately impactful!

We are so happy with Yotpo! Immediately after it was set up, it sent an automatic email to recent customers of our store asking for reviews (not sure how far it went back, but looked like 2-3 months). The reviews started pouring in! We have tried in the past to solicit reviews from our customers, and it was like pulling teeth. The Yotpo platform makes it so easy for customers to submit their review, it works great!

I wanted to change the location of the review carousel on my home page so I email the support team. They fixed in 2 days! Amazing app, I'd recommend for anyone who's using Shopify.

We've been using Shopify for a little over a year now, and I've tried several free apps, some of which we're still using quite successfully (Chimpified, etc.) This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review for an app, though! I just turned it on about three days ago, and I've been so pleasantly surprised at how easy and effective it's been to add customer reviews to products in our store. I checked the box for the app send out automated emails asking customers to write reviews, and we've gotten 20+ great reviews in just one weekend, which really adds to our store. I also just turned on the floating Reviews tab that now appears on the store, and created a "Recent Customer Reviews" page on our site using the easy copy-and-paste script that Yotpo provides. It is the best combination of an app being EASY, free, and really making our store richer that I have come across so far!

Awful customer service (unless you want to upgrade) We used to love Yotpo but since we updated our theme and lost the app we have been trying to get some help with reinstalling. Terrible service! No response to four attempts to contact them. We looked at upgrading our Yotpo account but the prices seem to leap up and we just can't afford it for a small business.

Few words for such a WONDERFUL app. If you want reviews on your website and you want simplicity, download this app. I have 10 reviews in under 2-3 days. Now total is 20 and received one of their badges to put on my website. I can't tell how you bad a$$ this app is.

I was very happy to come across this Review App because I was indeed looking for one for my store and this was recommended to me highly. I can see why. One, it was easy to install. And two, the support staff was great! I used the Mobilla template that does not have the tabs functionality for the product. So I have to code the tabs manually per product. Despite the App not supporting this kind of manual tab feature, there is still a simple workaround solution to have the Yotpo Reviews feature in the product tab. Ed Ruth as the support staff was great! I'll be inviting all my customers to give product review and it give me more reason to engage with the customers! And we all know what that would mean...:)

Great customer service. I needed some support to help me upgrade the carousel review widget and Ruzsel J upgraded all the widgets and removed the old code. Saved me lots of time. I been using yotpo for over 10 years now and it really helped my online store XtremedigitalgraphiX.com

Great interface, more tools than I imagined and the email function is priceless! We were able to grab over 100 reviews in a week in response to the email requests. Love it!

An amazing app that keeps you connected with customers and best of all lets your customers show you some love! I had no idea how many people actually really loved what we do. It's inspirational and does wonders for work morale. I am so much happier coming to work and reading reviews to start off my day. GET THIS APP.

Back into early this year, we switched from another review app to Yotpo. Everything is wonderful and smooth. We just wished that the review stars can show up in the collection page before entering product page. But we have seen Yotpo team working diligently to improve their app and adding more functions over the course of this year. Last weekend we found that Yotpo added code that you can add review stars and we quickly pasted to our codes to show star rating but we failed. We emailed Yotpo on Sunday and got response from Lucy on Morning and Tuesday morning everything is fixed and in place and the review stars show on our collection view nicely. Thanks for a timely and great job! Besides the start rating, we found that the Yotpo added coupon promotion in emails sent out to customers. And lots of other thoughtful features are added this year. Very happy to switch Yotpo. Great job you have done!

Very good app if a touch slow at the dashboard (not on our site) but that might just be down to scaling issues. I'd recommend this app to any Shopify store owner.

Just moved my business/cart over to Shopify. Having customer product reviews and testimonials is very important. The app was very easy to install and get up and running. Now I'm just waiting on my first review. :)
