ADU: Automatic Discounts

They must delete low reviews. So complicated and convoluted to use. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I use other apps on Shopify and have expected a certain level of customer service. They have this stupid Slack forum where they leave your questions unanswered. The tutorials are lacking. I don't have time to watch a 20 minute video. Would prefer to have the steps written out. I hate this, it's worthless, and I will be deleting it promptly. It's sad that Shopify is so limited that these difficult to use apps for creating work arounds have to be use (because this app only helps your create a complicated work around to have different options to Shopify's simple and lacking built-in discount options, not a direct route to implement a discount.)

Great concept but the popup refuses to work in my store. Developer said it might have to do with another app but I don't use many apps that would interfere with the cart. Discount is applied at > $35 but no popup occurs. I may cancel the app if the developer can't figure it out. *Update* Developer fixed the bug and everything works wonderful now. Thanks for the app but I would like an app at least gives 7-free day trial for the whole functioning.. The function I want this app to achieve- I want to set up discount only for amount purchased. For example, 2.5% off orders equal or above $250.00 10% off orders equal or above $900.00 etc the thing is, the higher discount doesn't automatically apply or override the lower discount. Then this is no sense for me. --------------------------------------- Updated second day Derek Morin from [email protected] helped me out. To override the smaller discount simply "put the discount rules not from the biggest amount/discount at top to the smallest at the bottom". Now it is perfect and the app fits my need. This is a good app for basic discounts that you want automatically added to a cart. I use it to add a discount for all orders over a certain amount, a little sweetener when people reach checkout to see a discount applied.

Works great! Exactly what we were looking for, for our wholesale portal.

This has helped us in many ways. The biggest is on our wholesale store where we use this to lock down access to all products unless a customer is tagged with "dealer" or "approved". If they are, then when they log-in, they see everything and can order easily. This is a simple and highly useful app. We are very grateful for it.

The app works just as described and is very easy to set up. I highly recommend if you are looking for something to set up automatic discounts.

We have use this app for our holiday sales and it is working just like it said it would! Thank you. I was a little stressed as many of the more complicated apps say they will do something then it takes me more time to research and watch videos to figure out how to use it. This app is simple and straight forward.

This app does exactly what it says it will without taking our time to futz with the theme itself, which is great! Automatically applying the coupon works well, but we have had some complaints about the fact that the coupon isn't visible until checkout - having the option of displaying a top bar with a "Coupon applied" message would be phenomenal.

It's stopped working and it's caused major issues midway through an ad campaign and now we have lots of angry customers who thought they were getting money off! The back office now displays 504 Gateway Time-out nginx/1.4.6 (Ubuntu) Not good.

Everything here worked as advertised. It was easy to set up and simple to use. This is a great app for applying automatic discounts based on set rules at the end of checkout. It can be advantageous at times to bypass customer entry of the coupon code. After you set the rules for the discount it only takes a few minutes before it's active on the store. Nice app, thanks!

The app is great and it works, however I would love some more customization so that I can change what the visitor sees when they come to our site. Very useful though!

This app is OK... pretty much the only app I could find that would do quantity discounts well without a crazy amount of install code. However, it has a couple major issues: 1) For quantity discounts, it will show the customers the discount at checkout but not on the cart page. This causes confusion with our customers as they are wondering why the discount isn't applied. 2) It shows the coupon code at checkout. This makes it very easy for someone to simply copy the code, change the qty in the cart, and checkout with a big discount. For instance, there is nothing that prevents someone from adding 5 items to their cart, getting the code, removing 4 items, pasting the code in the discount box, and checking out with the 5 qty discount with only 1 item. 3) The biggest issue: you can't offer qty discounts on multiple individual items. Shopify only allows one discount to be applied per transaction, so you can only have one discount applied. This prevents someone from getting discounts for multiple different items with tiered pricing. My hunch is that most of these issues are problems with the shopify platform, as all of these quantity discount apps seem to have the same limitations. Shopify needs to fix this.

I appreciate this app as I was looking for a way to give my Canadian customers an automatic discount to help counter the low value of the Canadian dollar. Derek responds quickly to questions. At this time, the discount only appears after the customer clicks the checkout button. It would be much better if the discount appeared at the cart stage and I hope that they can make this improvement in the future.

Great support. Got stuck, went to slack, within minutes they were there to help. I wish more companies did this. Great value added experience.
