Update (same day). I realised I wasn’t getting sales and checked the website and you can’t click anything. Have had to turn app embed off in theme settings as app in Shopify is broken. It’s caused me lost sales. Updated review to 1* I have been using this app for a while now and although it has been okay some changes lately and app issues have crept in to compel me to rate lower now. Recently the devs changes the visitor view and removed the ISP from the main area. Now you have to click through to each IP hit. This is a bad oversight. Today the app doesn’t even work on the Shopify app. No way to even contact them. This has happened before.

This app is not blocking the countries I requested. It is not working. Support takes too long to reply.

Here’s some clarification we hope will help: How Blocking Works: Our app injects a blocking interface, preventing visitors from restricted regions from viewing your store’s content. Why You Still See Visits in Shopify Analytics: Since the initial page request is detected by third-party analytics, that visitor is counted as traffic, even though they’re met with the block page and can’t proceed further. Providing Proof: We also offer an internal analytics tool showing which visitors are blocked. We’d be happy to share screenshots or run tests with you to confirm that visitors from restricted regions are indeed seeing the block page. We understand the frustration when you don’t see immediate proof in Shopify Analytics, and we are always looking to improve our support speed and clarity. The online chat support is very slow and unable to adequately address questions or concerns. The app itself isn’t very intuitive or clear to use. My goal was simply to exclude certain countries from accessing my website, as I noticed a sudden surge in traffic and suspected bot activity. I blocked all the countries I could identify, but unfortunately, the app failed to do what it was supposed to. I have uninstalled it and will search for a more effective solutions.

They advertise saying they can block checkout bots, I get thousands of abandoned checkout bots a day with some placing successful orders, and even after using this app it still continues and support doesn't know why. I do not recommend it if you are having this issue.

I installed Blockify to manage bot traffic, but it ended up doing more harm than good. It mistakenly treated legitimate search engine crawlers (like Googlebot) as threats and blocked them. As a result, the blocking screen was indexed instead of my actual product and collection pages, which led to a major drop in my search visibility. According to Shopify Support: "Blockify is treating legitimate search engine crawlers as threats and showing them the blocking screen, which then gets indexed instead of your actual product pages and collections." "This explains why disabling the app a week ago didn't help – the damage was already done to your search rankings, and recovery takes time even after fixing the root cause." This issue has had a serious impact on my store’s organic traffic and overall SEO health. Even after uninstalling the app, recovery is slow and ongoing. I do not recommend this app unless you're fully aware of the risks and have a way to control how it handles search engine bots.

It doesn’t block anyone or any countries, it doesn’t work at all. I tried my website on three mobile phones and asked my friends to verify it for me. It doesn’t work!

They just want your money. I downloaded this app and submitted a help desk ticket to figure out how it could solve my problem. I was told to get the enterprise subscription to block checkout. The problem is not that deep and that was the best they could do. Deleting the app

I received several SCAM customer sign ups and two fraud orders. It is set to block all of this and the app did not deliver. 10 out of 10 would not recommend!

I cannot stress enough how abysmal the "help" for this app has been. I tried it once, it didn't block my bot traffic, I reached out for help and was just gaslit. I uninstalled and left a review. Blockify reached out to ask for another chance and, I tried again. Once again, after following their instructions, the app didn't work correctly. It's either blocking real potential customers/non-bot traffic with low risk scores or allowing almost everyone. When I tried "help" again, telling them I had over 23 visitors to my website from Hong Kong, but, didn't see the visitors on Blockify logs, I was told to block all of Hong Kong. What? No. The next suggestion was to upgrade to the Enterprise plan and block the Ips of fraudeulent orders. What? Again, no. Fraudulent orders is not the problem. Not getting solutions for the actual problems, however, is my main problem with this app, rendering it completely useless to me. And, now, days of wasted time.

I got this app specifically for our increasing bot traffic. The reviews looked amazing so I installed it. On the 5th day I still got bot traffic and started cross-referencing bot orders vs activity log on this app and they didn't even show up. What happened next completely stunned me. Their support team actually ADMITTED IT DIDN'T WORK!!! Here's the message from them: "Hi there, This is Joyce from the Blockify support team.. Thanks again for your patience while we looked into the orders you mentioned. After checking with our technical team, we found that the app still receives and processes most visitor data as usual. However, in rare cases, it’s possible that: The buyer went directly to the checkout page, bypassing the storefront, which prevents our app from capturing the initial IP and browsing session. The buyer was using tools (like VPNs, proxies, or privacy-focused browsers) that changed their IP address during the journey — for example, from landing on the store to completing the checkout. This can result in the session being incomplete or invisible in the Visitor Analytics. We totally understand how frustrating this may be, especially when you’re relying on this data to block unwanted orders. Our product team is now aware of the concern and is reviewing how we can make the tracking more transparent. FAKE APP CREATE FAKE SENSE OF SECURITY In their free plan, I have blocked India traffic, but I still see IP from Mumbai. None of other IP/ country block app has this problem.

The app has been blocking locations that shouldn't be blocking for I don't know how long, because I just realized today, and I have lost potential customers due to this. I can't even access the settings to correct it! It's quite disappointing and frustrating. Please help fix this issue.
