I find that the support team is excellent in helping and solving any problems I have with BTA, which tends to be often. I find that the app is not very intuitive and causes a lot of back and worth. I hate to admit it, I am not exactly a fan of BTA but it is the best booking application supported by Shopify. There has been improvements slowly over time and that has helped.

Outstanding support! The team is always so responsive and helpful to the many questions we have. If there's ever any issues they fix it. It's been a massive upgrade from the previous booking system. The ability to see images when hovering makes it easy when grabbing products for our dress hire rental store. Thank you João and D'Angelo!!

It's the best there is for booking software on Shopify. It is honestly not very intuitive and involves a lot of back and forth - particularly with operating hours and resource management - but overall it works very well, and the support team is fast and helpful when we can't figure things out.

Out of all the Reservation apps we have tried this one is the best for the price. The tech support is great! With that said I wish I didn't need to use them as much as I do. Thats the only downer.

Amazing customer support, I had an issue with reservation widget and it was resolved very quickly. Been using the app for almost a year and wouldn't go anywhere else!

I've just launched my first business using Shopify and BTA as my POS and so far, it's been great. The customer service has been outstanding for me, as I've never built or operated a website before and there's a lot to learn. They're quick to respond to my questions and always guide me through the step to solve problems. I recommend this, especially as a beginner!

We have been using BTA for appox 3 years for our onsite Cooking Classes - While the app has been solid and easy to use - the customer support is without a doubt the best team I have ever experienced. We are always able to connect via chat immediately and the support we get goes above and beyond our expectations. Most recently Joao quickly resolved an issue we were having and then took the time to add a function for our store that enables us to increase bookings. This was something that we had been struggling with for a while and he created a solution for us that is a game changer! We have worked with Joao, D'Angelo and the rest of the team no matter who you get on chat - they are smart, extremely helpful and pleasent. This app has the functionality I want but has unexpected problems. My business provides sewing classes, parties, and camps for kids, teens, and adults. I moved to Shopify from another booking platform. Finding Book That and testing it before I moved platforms was a key reason I moved to Shopify. My experience has been uneven. The setup was not intuitive, but D'Angelo was very helpful during the process. Once I became familiar with the platform, loading classes was manageable. However, several technical difficulties have occurred in the last couple of weeks. Parents have repeatedly told me they cannot register on their smartphones. This has led to lost sales, time spent on the phones with customers, and a bad experience for parents who have purchased a sewing party for their child. One customer called me at the time they were trying to register on their smartphone. I could not replicate the issue they were seeing on their end, but after thirty minutes of troubleshooting, the customer could finally check out on Shopify. Immediately after that order was submitted, I received an email from BTA saying, "This is an automated email from BookThatApp about a problem creating a booking from one of your orders." After receiving the email, I checked in BTA and discovered that, indeed, there was no booking for that customer. I had to create the booking manually. The order captured in Shopify did not have any class information, so if I had not been in communication with the customer, I would not have known I needed to create the booking manually, and the class would have been oversold. I reached out to Support to figure out what had happened. D'Angelo was very polite, but unable to see anything that might have caused the problem. He just said to let them know if it happened again.

We use this app for selling classes for which it works very well. Whenever I have had problems getting something set up, the customer support has been excellent and quick to reply, even helping when the issue has been on the Shopify side. We have accommodations on the same site and I did have to make a work around when we wanted to vary room rates between weekends and weekdays (solution: price at $0 and invoice manually after booking or 52 create manual discounts in Shopify every year) but this is for a small side business and it is a big ask to expect any one app to fulfill all needs.

If you go over your bookings for the month you lose access to EVERYTHING. We have one event this month that pushed us to our limit. I've had this app for over a year and have old pricing. To upgrade I'd have to spend an extra $20/month and wouldn't have the option to downgrade again. Now that I've hit the limit, the only thing I can see is the upgrade page -- none of our currently appointments that we paid for. I chatted with support and they said I won't have access to anything until the new billing cycle. I asked if I'd be able to just start a new cycle early and they said no. There's also no option to buy extra appointments for the month. They told me the only option is to upgrade. Hitting my monthly limit and not getting more bookings is fine, but not being able to see the bookings I already paid for in my plan is not acceptable.
Hi 👋 Thanks a lot for your feedback! We are sorry to see that you were dissatisfied with your recent interaction with us. We do understand your disappointment, and would like to provide clarity on a few things: "To upgrade I'd have to spend an extra $20/month and wouldn't have the option to downgrade again." The plan you were on was a legacy version. The updated plan was increased more than once over the years. Also, you were advised that if you were to upgrade to any of the updated plans, you wouldn't have access back to the "Legacy" plan. If the plan no longer exists, then you wouldn't have an option to get back on that plan. Another thing to add is that you didn't need to change your plan. You could remain on your "Legacy" plan until the new billing cycle starts and your quota is renewed. If you wanted to resume your bookings, you would need to upgrade your plan. But that would mean you wouldn't have access to the "Legacy" plan anymore. We made sure to point that out. "Now that I've hit the limit, the only thing I can see is the upgrade page -- none of our currently appointments that we paid for. I chatted with support and they said I won't have access to anything until the new billing cycle. I asked if I'd be able to just start a new cycle early and they said no." This logic existed but it's the first time you have experienced it since hitting your limit due to the revision of the quota on the "Legacy" plans. The support team had submitted a request to change this logic if possible. This has caught the team's attention, and they will revise the request accordingly. The billing cycle is renewed every xth day that you subscribed. So, if you subscribed on the 6th of March, then your new billing cycle is on the 6th of April. Asking us to shorten your billing cycle for a month or forcing the start of the next cycle is not possible for us to do. Especially, given that Shopify handles the billing, not us. "There's also no option to buy extra appointments for the month. They told me the only option is to upgrade." If the option existed, we would have provided it to you in a heartbeat 🙂. We have this added to our feature request list and we are hoping that it's something that we can implement this year. Until then, the only option there is to renew your quota ASAP is to upgrade. "Hitting my monthly limit and not getting more bookings is fine, but not being able to see the bookings I already paid for in my plan is not acceptable." As mentioned earlier, we do hope to change the way that this logic is applied. Until then, you can reach out to the support team for assistance with retrieving your reports or any additional information you may want/need. We're a small business in the UK and have used BTA for around 4 years, since we started ticketing our events for Covid. Having tried various other ticketing systems, there's no question that BTA plugged into Shopify has been the most efficient and cost effective solution for us. Unlike other apps, you get the sense that the team behind BTA are genuinely good developers and the support is excellent - they're very responsive when you need help. Would recommend to anyone.
