The lack of API is a massive disadvantage when using the Shopify Digital Downloads app. As it’s an official addon, it should be accessible via the public Customer Account API.
Does the job. no search option means you need to filter through many pages to find past order. you could paginate via keyboard buttons k and l but this feature was removed. now i just take the order ID and replace that in the url to get from order to digital download page.

No option to change the fullfillment for all products at once.
Upon resending the link, customers encounter an error message indicating that the requested file is not found. This issue requires immediate attention and resolution.

I don't know why but recently some of my files disappear randomly from the digital download app or are tagged as "Unattached digital files" so I need to check all my product to see if the files are still here and upload it back (even with no file the app say it was a file so you cannot filter the one without a file). A bit annoying (I have more than 200 products to verify and reupload).
We used this app to sell Ebooks and Ebook bundles in our store. We were able to uses this app last year with no issues. Recently, we tried to do the same but did not have success. The save button would spin and spin without any chance of being able to save. It really messed with our plans to sell these products before a specific date.

Why doesn't this app use my shop's email address while sending?
There is a minor problem with the application. When the purchase process is completed, the file download feature does not appear on the purchase completion page. The file is only sent by email * The application does not appear when the Checkout page is modified

After payment, can you add the download button in the page?

App was working really well for about a year. However, for the past couple months, it's been extremely buggy, and Shopify seems to have no solution. It says 'Unsupported' under the settings page. Files don't upload for me anymore, or they upload but I'm not able to save changes. One of my products has 2 digital files attached, but the app only lists 1. I'm not sure if things are getting sent out properly either. I've tested different browsers, different computers... Nothing... So it's basically become useless, and I'm at a point where I need to migrate to a new app. Pretty frustrating...

If the issue persists, I would suggest attempting to use a separate browser to see if that does the trick. For example, if you are using Safari - try this on Google Chrome. The app has been working for two years with no problems. but lately it's been crashing all the time. And now a message appears: "This application may not work as expected". It's impossible to contact the developer. I don't know what to do.

Leider funktioniert die App nicht richtig. Meine Kunden erhalten die Download-Mail nur wenn ich Sie manuell auslöse. Zudem fehlt in der Mail der Downloadlink. Auch auf der Bestellübersichtsseite werden die Downloads nicht korrekt angezeigt. Warum funktioniert diese App nicht? Ist grundsätzlich ja sehr simpel aufgebaut. Support wäre hilfreich.
While I appreciate 5gb of space, the downloads are extremely slow.

I have used digital downloads for YEARS. For the past few months I’ve experienced numerous issues with my customers not being able to download their orders. I can’t get into products to attach files as well. Service has been not helpful. No explanation. No we will fix it etc. The last support email suggested I switch to a different provider. If only that was so easy when you have 1000+ digital files to MOVE. So upsetting.
