I have problems with this app! Customers do not receive download links

They say to ignore the old reviews and things have changed but I can't see how. I added the download pdf without a problem - did a test check out and there is no link, or any information to download the pdf. Crazy!

If you sell digital downloads and think about moving to Shopify for this feature: don't, unless you have done your research. Soon after I switched to Shopify with all my customers, they stopped the support for the digital downloads app. I had many chats with the customer service, with different feedback. Some said I should look around for an additional app, others said, they appreciate the feedback and will forward it to the developer team, yet others again said they won't spend any more time on developing this feature. This is 2024, guys. You cannot just sit there and see the money rolling in raising your prices and do nothing, when it is literally a digital world now. Very unimpressed with this part of shopify!

This app was coded in the middle ages and haven't been updated since! Here are 2 critical issues: - It is not compatible with the new customer account, there is no way for your client to download the files they purchased from the Order page. - You cannot HTML markup the email templates for Download Ready and for Updated Product, all you're left with is some crude text that looks like a badly formatted spam email Digital Downloads app devs, are you still alive?

I don't know what the Devs did but this app is currently useless. Not only do new customers not get an email or a download link, but OLD customers lost access to their previous download links on their Order Status Page. This app literally does nothing now.

It just doesn't work. I'm lucky a customer messaged me personally to let me know they weren't receiving their downloads because the app automatically archives orders and claims to have delivered the digital product, even when it hasn't.

It's simply an insult to Shopify customers that in 2024 there is no native, properly functioning digital download app. Links do not appear after purchase and there is no link to download again in the client panel. looking for another solution.

Shocking app, very poor from Shopify considering the high monthly fees we pay. Does not allow you to add branding to the email that sends the download, so it looks like spam and builds a distrust with your customers

DO NOT get this app. Shopify is no longer supporting it and this is a quote from a tech support rep: the current app is in maintenance mode, meaning that developers are only investing resources into resolving "critical security fixes or widespread bugs". After using it for four years I can no longer upload files.

I have been using your application since November of last year, and everything has been running smoothly. However, since the latest Shopify update, I have encountered a problem. When a customer places an order, they no longer see the download link on the page, even though I have it activated in the settings. This issue only started occurring after the recent update. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue. By the way, I want to mention that the application is otherwise very, very good.

I've used this app for almost ten years, and although it's not perfect, it does the job of sending my customers links to their purchased PDF patterns, and it's free. I would LOVE it if the files you uploaded were marked with a date! I would LOVE it if customer email addresses were synchronized with the address they use and updated in Shopify. Finally, the customers who have canceled a purchase or have received a refund don't get a new link sent if the file is updated. Finally, a hosted version of the app would be amazing. I wouldn't mind paying for one, so I wouldn't have to manually send people new links to their PDFs. Wardrobe By Me

This plugin only supports a single file upload, which is quite limiting and not clearly mentioned in the file management area. Although it seems to allow multiple file uploads initially, attempting to save results in a vague error message without any clear indication of the issue. This can be frustrating and time-consuming, especially when you need to manage multiple files. I hope the developers address this limitation and improve the error messaging for a better user experience.
