Shopify Digital Products

Almost all my clients write that they don't receive download link. It is written "delayed". So I had 2 bad reviews, because of it. Calling my website scam. And now I have to send manually the purchases to each customer. I suggest to use another application. I am looking for something reliable. Updated: Sorry. The problem was not in application. But in my payment settings. The link won't be sent until the payment is "captured". My mistake was to choose manual payment capture. If you put in auto mode, the link will be sent automatically.

The app is fine until you realize how laughably easy it is for a fraudulent customer to scam you with this. If a digital downloads order is marked as HIGH risk of fraud, the digital downloads app does not care and auto sends the digital files no matter what. Meaning, this will likely end up with a charge-back on the order, with the fraudulent customer receiving all the files and not paying. What a joke. The app does have some protection for PayPal eChecks, but absolutely nothing for high risk of fraud orders. If this was fixed then the app would be just fine to use, but depending on the size of your store, this may cause you a big headache. FIX IT Shopify!

Its free. Ok. Does what it says on the tin. I have used for over a year with great results. Can track downloads and see who has downloaded what, but it is a bit clunky. Would love improved tracking and analysis. Neater layout options for non technical person would also help.

Wish the download link integrated with the customer account. Hyperlinking the product does the customer no good in the future... it would be nice if the download link was stored in the account too.

Works for us! Thanks, Shopify!

Works like its meant to - reccomended

This app works for us everyday delivering PDF files to our customers. Super easy to use and does exactly what it says!

Great little app, the only downside for me is that the link to the download is not stored in a customers account.

easy to use and does what I need it to do!

We've had great interest already in the free downloads we've added to our site.

Over 2 years of digital downloads and so far this app has worked perfectly and its free. www.BuyExcelTemplates.com

Great app, we often have orders with both digital products and physical items and this app seamlessly allows customers to download their files from the Thanks For Buying page. The "Create a Manual Link" facility is great as well for sending one-offs to customers who haven't/can't go through the shopify checkout. Simple, easy, reliable, flexible.

unbelievably easy to use and setup! thank you ! high recommendations! -------------- Vancouver Campus, 3711 1st Ave Burnaby, BC V5C 3V6 T: 604-409-3249 https://canadianbaristainstitute.com/

Works well, Would like to see: CDN Option for an external link Ability to select from something already uploaded Not having to upload a pdf (in my case) for each variant Direct link to downloadable product from My Account page

Basic app, good because free and no limits, but has its internal limit. Only a few liquid variable can be added to the mail template and that's a huge set back.

We depend on this 100% as we are #1 in the world for digital music/piano lessons in our genre and field. www.PrettySimpleMusic.com This app is AMAZING - we distribute hundreds of downloads per day and this has been a pleasure using. A little bit of an adjustment trying to set up, but once you get the swing of things, you're all set (especially if you use the "duplicate" feature. Try our downloading process to see for yourself - we have FREE items for you to try out. www.PrettySimpleMusic.com

I couldn't do business without Digital Downloads. All my products are digital and this app handles them all, integrating faultlessly into my store and allowing downloads immediately after payment from Shopify's checkout and from the email sent to the customer. A bulk upload feature would be handy for getting all the files into the store quickly. But hey! Doing them one by one is a good activity for the end of the day when you're brain-dead and shouldn't be tackling anything requiring intelligent thought.

It works well, but it would be great if the text was customizable to other languages.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!! I literally just downloaded it for 2 seconds and it began breaking ALL the images on my site. After removing it, a few came back but now, even when I deleted the broken images, and upload new ones, it breaks those too. I had so much planned for today and this app just added several hours of work for me. Worst download ever. Save yourself the trouble, it's going to cost you time and money. No wonder it's free.
